This is my second app from this developer and I do find both of the apps useful. This app can be a bit clunky but trust me, it is easy and practical to use. I can view and scrub, delete, find videos with ease. You will want to get the person detect feature. It’s just a one time small fee for something that will “turbo” boost the usefulness of this app. You know Tesla owners are usually paranoid lol so I check if anybody gets too close to our babies. :) It does crash occasionally but reopening the app is quick and doesn’t bother me. My only wish is to be able to natively save single videos other than the composite. The screen recording method can be clunky but doable if needed. Oh and if you have an issue, the developer responds quickly, either through Twitter or email. ### 4/5 — ask for a refund *2021-09-18* No conditions of use are mentioned. You have to constantly reformat your usb stick after you plug it into your computer and it doesn’t work when you plug it into your phone which was the main reason for buying the app for easy viewing. Viewing also on the app when it was working was exhausting, timely and not user friendly. I could have just not bought this app for the convenience of it since it doesn’t work as it tells me it cannot play or read my usb stick now. So save your money and just watch it on your Tesla with the new update using the launch viewer or plug the usb to your computer. Don’t waste your money because they refuse to fix the issue or issue any refunds. Frauds ### 4/5 — Excellent *2020-07-20, version 4.7* This is great and a huge time saver. Tesla just released its own in displayed video browser but it’s slow and at times hard to find what your looking for. Using the app is a breeze and much faster to go through your videos. Especially with the in-purchase to mark videos with people in them make things even faster. The only thing I marked this down for is for when saving videos to your phone, maybe because of having all on the screen at the same time the quality is not the best, in fact if you open the iXpand app and find the same video file and save that video the quality and clarity is a lot higher. Maybe the dev in this app should add the ability to export each individual video aswell and not just the whole screen with all videos showing! Apart from that the app is really good, oh one other thing the UI and design could use a little work 😉 ### 1/5 — Better off without the app *2020-05-10, version 4.6* Terrible UI, overly complicated. Negatives: - Load every time the user scrolls through the different times. Usually you just want to go the the second last time slot but every time you select a new sentry event, it loads the last time slot. - When Telsa updates Sentry formats, it can take awhile for iOS version of SentryView to come out (due to Apple approval process). - Paying for additional features like face detection. - Cost benefit vs what you get from Telsa now for free. Might not be worth it for some people. - Need to format the USB using Masterboot record for iOS devices. This is a hidden option in Mac OS. It is in the FAQ of the App but couldn’t the App detect whether the scheme is Masterboot record and tell the user the problem? ### 5/5 — Responsive & continuous improvement *2020-04-17, version 4.5* The Tesla Sentry View app is great and continues to improve with regular updates.
