But the search functionality in this app is abysmal. It needs a serious update to fix searches, and a lot of UI polish to fix loading errors. Titles I add to lists sometimes just show up as invisible thumbnails so I can’t even tell what books are on my lists at times. Good luck getting eBooks to check out; totally hit or miss. Update Feb 2025: Still the same issues from the original review. Found out as well that linking two cards causes the app to lose the ability to check out books. It also shows a notification in the fines area but when I view the fines, there are none listed (I’ve also never not returned any books or damaged any). Sometimes I get randomly signed out. You can scan your card’s barcode to easily fill it in. However, sometimes it misses all the numbers and you have to manually proofread it. ### 2/5 — Barely usable *2024-08-16* I’ve been able to check out a handful of titles I was interested in. I’ve not been able to search ‘title by author’ as that return 0 results, it’s one or the other and sometimes that is too many to sift through. I’ve also had some issues using the reading tracker, lately it has had ‘trouble communicating with the server’, which can be frustrating when trying to log or start a new reading session when it won’t even load your loans. ### 3/5 — Simple But Needs Additional Features *2024-01-14* App is easy to use and quite user friendly. I would like to see a “Wishlist” feature added. I have a list of books I’d like to place on hold at the library. However, it would be nice if that “Wishlist” could exist in the app. Notifications for items available for pickup or due would be helpful as well. ### 1/5 — App won’t let’s you check out books after holds are in *2023-08-11* I have several books available to be checked out after several weeks waiting and now the apps won’t give me the option to check them out. I took the phone to the library and they could not help either. ### 3/5 — It’s okay *2023-01-20, version 2022.1.6* Overall this app is okay. I would give this app 5 stars if there were notifications alerting you that your books are ready for pickup and if you had access to your list of books. I have to use the website to access my book list. ### 1/5 — Update 2021 *2021-10-04* Since updated to latest version, app has unlinked my children’s accounts and does not recognize when scanning card to add to link account, have notified local branch and have been told it’s the app. ### 2/5 — Running slow *2021-09-15* This was a good app but since the recent update it is very slow and times out more times then not.
