Please fix it! ### 3/5 — Good app but needs work *2012-02-11, version 1.2* Please do an update for this app to keep it current. The app crashes most of the time when you switch between searching by name, searching nearby, and searching on map. So it makes it impossible to simply click search nearby, then find your destination by name. Also, it would be helpful if the app told us what the end station or major station on the line is in the direction were going. Signs in Seoul often do not show the next station until you get to the platform, the signs do mostly tell the terminal station. We have to look at the map to find the terminal station to know which platform to go to. Other than that the app is pretty good. ### 2/5 — So out of date it's almost obsolete *2011-12-04, version 1.2* When I got this app on my iPod touch in March, I loved it. The most recent update had been the end of Feb. and I was cruising around pretty well. By the time I got my iPhone in June, I discovered I ended up late a lot. The app was inaccurate and crashed a lot. now it's December and the app still has no updates. This shouldn't be a paid app anymore if it's not going to be updated. Pros: you can still see the old lines and chart a basic path. It's got a nice station search interface that I like more than the one from its otherwise superior competitor Jihachul. If you're looking for a paid app, get Jihachul, at least until this one finally gets a refurbish. ### 3/5 — Needs Update!!! *2011-12-04, version 1.2* The app itself is really easy to use. However, updates are needed. A new line opened in October - it's December and there's still no update. As a PAID app, this should have happened immediately. Some of the travel times are off - it takes way longer than 16 mins to get from Seoul Stn to Incheon Airport even on the express line. Namyeong Station is on Line 1. ### 4/5 — Handy app for travel *2010-12-11, version 1.1.6* Overall the most useful Seoul metro app I found. Three areas to improve: 1. Indicate fares 2. Not all transfers suggested are possible with a single trip ticket. Notably the transfer at Noryangjin from line 1 to 9. Would be nice to have a setting to avoid this for people without a T-money card 3. No indication on schedule which trains are express trains. Would need to indicate which stops are skipped for these too ### 4/5 — Improved version still could use some improvements... *2010-06-20, version 0* I recently wrote a 1-star review. I now retract that review. The software people fixed the times. The transfers times of the station you arrive at are good but there is no way to get a general estimate of the you will actually arrive unless you break up the tranfers. There are a couple of express trains in the Seoul subway system and unfortunately the times are not highlighted/posted in the system. It is also inaccurate with measuring the distance, in terms of time, between point A and B. an not very quick when trying to enter the subway stations because it's was not setup to be very intuitive (for ex: you have to go out of the map screen to select two stations to measure distance). Also does not list when the next train will come or timetable of subway start and end time. And even though I PAID for the full version it doesn't even update itself with the latest information. Unfortunately the times are not right. I transfered based on the times in the app and was waiting for 15 minutes because the times were incorrect. The lack of choice of route options and the lack of tranfer times makes it useless compared to the free version. My closest station isn't even on the map. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — AWESOMENESS! *2011-05-31, version 1.2* I got this App after buying a different one that left me in the subway station looking crazy because I couldn't figure out where I was going. This is by far the best subway App I have used. It lest you pick your starting and ending station by name, what's cloest on a map to a point you're goiing, or which one is cloest to you. Starting and tranfer stations have an accurate train schedule so you know how long your wait is. The GPS and Google Maps function is awesome because if you going sightseeing like I do you might end up far from your starting place. Just use the GPS and it will point you to the cloest station and from there it will get you to where you need to go. I didn't use the Lite version but I would gladly have paid more for this one. I loved being able to plan subway routes before we left and bookmark them for easy access on the go. The stops and transfers were correct. We went from Itaewon down to Seoul Grand Park and then hit a couple of markets all in one day and we never got lost or confused on the subways. Providing station detail information, train arrival time, frequency of train, end destination. Oh so great. Well worth the work involved for this app. I travel throughout and used many different subway systems. I figured out the subway routes from Incheon airport to my hotel in the Dongdaemun area and plotted out and saved all the routes to my tourist destinations for the upcoming week. I can quickly refer to any routes because the data is saved locally and I can plot routes on the fly with the simple and effective interface. No data connection is needed ( I have a US based iPhone with no cell service in Korea). With additional updates (mainly having a built in search box at the main map screen) this app will only get better. A big kudos and thank you to the developers or this wonderful app. My travels have been so much easier because of it. This is the BEST metro app for Seoul, it is money well spent. ### 4/5 — Been REALLY helpful in getting around *2012-10-14, version 1.2* So far this is the best app of its sort in English I've found. You tell it where you are, where you want to go and it programs what it believes to be the best route Flaws: a) Its timing of the trips isn't all that accurate so don't trust it b) You can't give bookmarked trips a name of your choosing --- which means you're forced to remember WHY you bookmarked it… so for instance the trip from my place to Lotte World is named by the station, NOT Lotte World. Ditto for the street market near a certain station, etc. This would be a really easy fix on their part. No idea why they don't do it c) it would be nice if we could have some choice in how many times we changed trains, opting for instance for the fewest changes instead of what the program thinks is the shortest route. ### 4/5 — Pretty Dang Good *2011-06-04, version 1.2* But for some reason it calculates the time between every stop at 2 minutes.
