Can I just say developer that you have pulled off a true wonder of the text game world. It's not intirely text based and has sound efects which is amazing!!! And the whole time you're in a fight your on tenterhooks worrying about Torid. It was so good that I upgraded to the full version and what I apreciate is that the developer doesn't badger you to upgrade. You're left alone to make up your own mind and follow Torid through his journey. The only thing I would say is that it could do with some more choices. For example, when Torid reaches the grand lake, there should be an option for him to take the boat across. At the moment I am stuck in the temple ruins trying to find something of interest and the only person I have found was Yorgan. Who said "To the lake." But you can't because of the absance of the use the boat option. Please continue adding to this as it is truely fantastic. ### 4/5 — Good game *2023-01-31, version 1.1.12* Fun story, got all the way to the end with the king but I guess you should load up on berries and bandages while you can because the combat is kinda ridiculous at the end. Constant misses and no real way to affect the outcome without luck. First fight I spent over 45 minutes trying to land more than one hit. The problems I have are firstly that the choices are arbitrary because if you make any decision other than what the author intends then you’ll die and have to revert to a checkpoint. Might as well have just made it a short story instead of a choose your own adventure. And then secondly the battle can be a bit frustrating when all you do is miss, although the final battle I’ve found to be literally impossible to hit. Im sure it’s because I chose to focus on shield magic and apparently that wasn’t what the author wanted me to choose. Now I can either restart the game or just leave it unfinished. And since there is no real choices to be made, the replay value is very little so I’ll sadly leave it unfinished. This game seems difficult enough with an interesting story that I thought the $4 price was a good deal. I can tell it won’t be a long game but I hope it’s a good one. If this had a multi choice ending depending on your actions that’d be amazing and make the game replay-able but I can tell it’s not. Would be willing to spend upwards of $7-$10 for this type of game with that kind of decision making effect.
