It is important to note that some dealers are still selling Gen1 (2021 models) bike at a full price that you would pay directly from serial1 (2022 models). Besides, app upgrade and backword compatibility is a norm in IT industry and doing so would increase customer confidence in product. ### 1/5 — If you have a 2021 or 2022... *2022-06-18, version 1.0.5* If you have a 2021 or 2022 Serial 1 bike... this app will not work for you. Obviously Serial 1 is bypassing everything except bikes after "mid year 2022. It is not the app all bike owners were promised as the initial release of Serial 1. ### 1/5 — Will not work with the bike I just purchased *2022-06-13, version 1.0.3* Waste of time. Will not synch via BT to my Rush/City Speed. **Developer response:** This app was specifically developed from the ground-up to support the latest generation of Serial 1 eBikes with connectivity capabilities and additional hardware that is not available in the first-generation models. Certain Serial 1 App features like Google Maps Turn-By-Turn navigation and access to the Serial 1 support team are available to all Serial 1 eBike owners, regardless of which generation Serial 1 eBike they own. In fact, these features are available to any app user on any type of bike. Simply select "Add Serial 1 eBike Later" during onboarding to enjoy access to these features. Please subscribe at serial1.com to stay up to date on future app features and development for all generations of Serial 1 eBikes. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2022-06-03, version 1.0.3* App does NOT work with the bike I just purchased this spring. Company lied to owners. Do not trust Serial1. **Developer response:** Certain Serial 1 App features like Google Maps Turn-By-Turn navigation and access to the Serial 1 support team are available to all Serial 1 eBike owners, regardless of which generation Serial 1 eBike they own. In fact, these features are available to any app user on any type of bike. Simply select "Add Serial 1 eBike Later" during onboarding to enjoy access to these features. Serial 1’s second-generation 2022 platform takes connectivity beyond Bluetooth technology by incorporating a sophisticated Internet of Things (IoT) device that enables connection via not only Bluetooth wireless technology but also using cellular data and/or GPS. Unfortunately, this IoT device is not present on our model-year 2021 eBikes, and it is not able to be added to those bikes at this time. Shows my bike is still in China…Bluetooth connects as expected, most the time. ### 3/5 — Great potential but a tad short *2023-07-24* Great look and feel, design and can see speed, battery etc….short that the google Map does not show the bike path and lane layer for navigation and routing.
