## What is Serlet Alsatian?

An innovate and user friendly app for supporting Alsatian regional language. Including vocabulary and dialogues (A1, A2 levels). Elaborated with photos, sound and videos. Containing historical and cultural information of the region and virtual maps with info on interesting places to visit.

Serlet app is useful for tourists and all age groups' persons (from students to seniors) eager or planning to visit a region in Europe with high cultural identity, specific traditions and patrimony. Serlet app aims to motivate people to regional language learning and understanding.

The app is a product of SERLET Project, a collaboration of 7 institutions from 4 European Countries (FR, IT, ES and GR), and is co-funded by the European Commission.

Je trouve l’idée de base de pérenniser les langues régionales super. Étant moi même alsacienne et ne sachant pas l’alsacien, j’étais contente de pouvoir l’apprendre via une application qui  normalement permet un apprentissage facile et ludique. Ce ne sera pas le cas avec celle là. Il suffisait pourtant de s’inspirer d autres excellentes applications d apprentissage des langues. Mais non. Avec celle-ci pas de parcours de progression juste une suite de thème. Le vocabulaire fourni est maigre, aucunes explications sur la construction de phrases, la grammaire, la conjugaison… On apprend des phrases toutes faites. La navigation est pénible, on est obligé de faire retour en arrière et sélection a chaque nouveau mot de vocabulaire. La plupart des vidéos n’existent pas. Les exercices sont rébarbatifs ( pourquoi mettre des questions en anglais on est pas là pour ça ? ).  Enfin bref, bonne idée mais mal exploitée.

Le parler retenu est le haut-rhinois. Dommage. Le parler bas-rhinois (pays de Hanau, Kochersberg) est nettement différent et n'a pas ces terminaisons en "a" assez disgracieuses de Colmar.
