Example, I would like to order items in a followed series by oldest first. Every time I restart the app, everything needs to be configured again. If I leave the app open in the background, it stays put. But if I reset the phone, etc., everything goes back to Ground Zero. ### 3/5 — Webcast Weaknesses / iPad formatting *2026-03-08* If there is going to be an option for viewing a webcast, then the format needs to be supportive of viewing on an iPad. Viewing on an iPhone is silly because you can’t see anything and it’s a better device for listening. Webcasts need to be formatted for both devices, but if for only one, for an iPad. ### 4/5 — Auto-play from downloads not working *2025-08-19* I love listing to sermons on this app. However the repeat all , shuffle and auto play from downloads does not work ### 2/5 — Random Restarts *2025-07-24, version 3.1.28* Sermons will randomly restart after 5-10 minutes. It has done this anywhere from 8:27 of play to only a minute or two. It may go longer, too. The only way I can get back to the point I was listening to is to find another sermon, start listening to it for a few seconds, and then go back to the one I was on. It asks if I want to resume and it goes right to the place it was playing and goes all the way to end after that. This is highly inconvenient when doing dishes and my hands are wet. Or cooking and my hands are dirty. Or napping and I have to get my glasses on and go through these steps! And it also does not allow me to scroll back and forth anymore. It stays at the final end. Now this version the sermon starts and 2 mins (or so) into the message it stops and goes back to the beginning. There is no email to report any technical problems so I am writing this as a review. Feel free to contact us at info@sermonaudio.com to report issues. ### 2/5 — Latest update broke new things *2025-07-12* Can’t see progress on sermons, time stamps disappear, forward and advance doesn’t work, scrubbing doesn’t work, and my sermon randomly starts over from the beginning in the middle of listening to it. On top of that, the buttons don’t appear to be more tappable and they need to be much larger and more spread apart, especially since there’s no CarPlay version of this app. Many of us listen in our cars. We need nice, big buttons to tap for safety reasons. This review goes for SA’s Church One app too. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review. Very glitchy. Randomly crashes. ### 4/5 — Fantastic App, But Lost Some Minor Info With Most Recent Update *2025-03-09* I love SermonAudio as an application, and I appreciate what they are doing for Christ’s church. It runs smoothly, is graphically pleasing, and is organized. You can find a lot of great sermons on it. I use it often to work through my church’s membership class recordings—and that’s where my problem lies with the most recent update. With the app’s most recent update, the information regarding what sermon’s I’ve listened to or not reset (I’m not entirely sure why—it could’ve been because of the update or because they signed me out). Either way, I was using the listened-to icons to keep track of how far through the membership class I was (it has taken me months to get through them, which is why the icons helped). Sure, in hindsight I recognize my method was fairly unreliable; however, after using this app for months (maybe even a year?), I just wasn’t expecting a change. Still, I really appreciate what this app is doing and highly recommend it—I just wouldn’t solely rely on it to keep track of things. And, I would suggest to SermonAudio to make an adjustment to keep listened-to/not listened-to information despite updates and/or sign outs. ### 1/5 — Can’t search *2024-11-13, version 1.2.22* I enter a search and it brings up the results, but as soon as I try to scroll through it disappears This makes the app unusable ### 3/5 — Please fix *2024-10-24, version 1.2.22* I can't t follow ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No audio *2025-12-08, version 3.1.36* There’s no audio again on 12/6/25. ### 1/5 — Never works *2025-10-19, version 3.1.36* Just make me angry on Sunday, stopped working never connects. Great job new trash sermon audio app ### 1/5 — Bring back the Old *2025-10-07, version 3.1.36* Sorry to say this but I’ve tried finding some good sermons on here but since the new app it is very difficult. I find my self trawling through lots of rubbish when I should be listening. Old app had much better preachers. I want quality and it appears you are losing your way on this front. ### 1/5 — No audio *2025-08-24, version 3.1.32* Every week a new problem. The good news it’s no sooner fixed than another problem. Yesterday 8/22 had audio and all was fine. Today 8/23 no audio. Same problem on my husband’s phone. ### 1/5 — Chronology *2025-08-04, version 3.1.30* Your most recent sermons were uploaded in such a hodgepodge manner that it's impossible to figure out what order to listen to them. ### 1/5 — Obnoxious Restarts *2025-07-27* I’m so glad others are expressing this problem. For awhile I thought I was doing something wrong or that the Speaker was uploading wrong. But ALL of my saved Speakers are having repeats in their audio. I can’t speak for videos. But I have listened again to previous audios from further in the past that I’ve listened to before and all have repeats that never were in the audio recordings. This is exceedingly annoying so as to be like an attack to divert distract from the Words of God. Also, the audio “finger slide track” is inconsistent for allowing one to “slide” to different location on the audio track. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review. We hope you'll give it another try! ### 1/5 — Followed Speakers “show no results” *2025-07-10* This new update messed up listings of sermons so all speaker show “no results”. The followed speakers in Library shows “no results“ for a listing of sermons of that speaker. Same problem in Discover. You can see all the speaker’s sermons under “Sermons” when you click “see all”. But on same Discover page under “Speaker” when you click “see all” you get the message of “no results”. This was not occurring just 2 days ago no problem. Same problem for my husband’s sermon audio app under different account. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review. Fantastic update. I wish it still set apart the more popular sermons by showing the red text listen count. For that reason, I still will use the old app. (Thanks for still supporting the old app and legacy webpage btw).
