### 3/5 — Very Dodgy Media Playback

*2023-12-18, version 3.2.0*

Seeking by small amounts, using Siri to control playback, or resuming reliably after pausing using headphone controls are basically broken; if you're looking to play media, don't be expecting to control it much. Strangely, similar comments apply to the Mac version. The client works well enough as an interface, but it's not clear to me why you would use it over the web interface for most of the text content; you really only want this app for media playback. Please fix.

### 3/5 — Pretty good so far.

*2023-09-08*

I love this app. Especially because you guys are so organized. I hope you guys keep updating it and I hope this app stays up and running.

### 2/5 — Good app but disappointed

*2022-12-25*

A friend recomonded Sero to me. It was easy to create an account and access content during the free trile. However, when it comes to getting the subscription it will not let me complete payment, through ITunes. So thanks. I will be going back to using audiovault again.

### 4/5 — Where the heck did Blindy.TV go? :-)

*2020-05-07, version 3.1.8*

I love this app! This app has many great features. :-) However… I have tried many times to watch things on the blindy.tv section and I cannot get the streaming service to work. :-) would you please fix this in your next update? :-) also… Some of the commercials in that section are very crude. Can you please make them more family-friendly? :-) I love this app. :-)

### 3/5 — Great. But where is upgrade?

*2018-09-25, version 3.1.8*

It hasn’t been updated in a long long time. 11 months later and no update. What’s happening?

### 2/5 — Review

*2018-06-11, version 3.1.8*

Needs a lot of work!
Crashes very often.
Seen better apps

### 2/5 — Audio content was good until…

*2018-04-27, version 3.1.8*

I have contacted the developer of this app several times to see why I cannot listen to any of the audio described movies because it tells me that my subscription is expired but when I go into the subscribe to sero monthly part of the app it says that I am already subscribed to this. Developer was nice but gave me a bunch of mumbo-jumbo about how many accounts I had and telling me that that could be the problem I did everything technical support asked me to including logging out of my account logging back in restoring my purchases among other things and yet still I am still dealing with this and I still have a subscription that I am not able to use. It works for a day or two and then it’s back to the way it was before telling me that I do not have a subscription really considering taking this app off my phone and just using Netflix for my audio described content

### 3/5 — It Has Some Issues!

*2018-04-24, version 3.1.8*

Every few days I would have to log off and on again, because it would say that “Trial Offer has Ended” and I was not on a trial basis at the time. Also everything I watched, would play for 15 minutes, then stop;. I had to get out of the selection and then start it again. That made trying to watch a movie very annoying. Otherwise, the app has great content.

### 3/5 — Emyster

*2018-02-23, version 3.1.8*

I cannot control playback with a 2 finger double tap on my iPod touch. This app needs improvement.

### 2/5 — App review

*2015-08-20, version 2.3.7*

I think you should bring more audio games to iBlink radio

### 1/5 — Probably the worst blind app I have ever used

*2015-08-16, version 2.3.7*

Only reason this gets one star is that it has so many possibilities and delivers on almost none of them. App crashes, locks up and sometimes it's not even logical. There is no rewind or fastforward feature when you are attempting to listen to a movie. There is a download button that appears to do absolutely nothing. If it does I would love to know. I have better luck and success with netflix. Very disappointed in this failure of an app. It is time for me to delete it and move on. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. A year is probably more than enough.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I tried to get into my paid version.

*2026-05-03, version 3.2.0*

I keep getting my free trial has expired.

Please fix as soon as possible.

### 1/5 — Developers, IS THIS IN- APP PURCHASE SERO STILL SUPPORTED?

*2022-07-18, version 3.2.0*

It appears you haven’t updated SERO in years, although there Is an in-app purchase. The most recent reviews for SERO are four years old? Would you let us know if you plan to update or continue to support SERO? Is it even still useful to visually impaired persons? Thanks! I wish I could give more stars, but I can’t until you let us know your intentions concerning SERO.

### 1/5 — About logging in

*2022-04-29, version 3.2.0*

I have nothing bad to say about this app because I like it. I haven’t been on it in quite a while, but I was trying to login today and I forgot my info and, it said it didn’t have my credentials so then I try to create an account and it says that this account is already active and I tried different ways and it’s like it’s the same thing. They need to have a number or something that we can call. Or another way that’s when we forget our information they can help.

### 1/5 — Locked out of the paid version

*2021-03-10, version 3.2.0*

Used to get all movies and radio stations with podcasts. Now all I all I can only get four archive movies a month and podcast archives of Hadley and cooking in the dark Archives and computer tech information archives.

### 1/5 — No changes

*2020-05-26, version 3.2.0*

An update which brings nothing really
No fixes
Podcast loading still the same

### 1/5 — Terrible app with a highly questionable developer

*2018-09-10, version 3.1.8*

App is poorly laid out, and devoid of quality content. Also, how the developer seeks to profit off this population is offensive. The claim that this is "the world's first application for the visually impaired" is wildly inaccurate Lastly, this developer should be required to amend their language. Blind people do not have "caretakers". I would give zero stars if possible.

### 1/5 — Poor

*2018-04-24, version 3.1.8*

This app needs too be updated. After my free trial ended, I subscribed for $5 a month. However, when I try to watch descriptive videos and television, sero won’t let me. The app says my free trial has ended, despite the fact that I subscribed to pay monthly. If this app won’t be updated I’m considering ending my payments and getting rid of my account.

### 1/5 — I question the legality

*2018-04-08, version 3.1.8*

I question if this app is on the up and up. Here in Virginia if you go to the official site for Virginia voice you must have completed an application with a dr or other such official signing off saying your blind before your granted a log in with access to the audio stream. This app has no such verification.

As for rest of app as others said it just stinks.

### 1/5 — Audio content is the only thing going for this app

*2018-03-14, version 3.1.8*

This app is terrible! The chat rooms don't work unless you're willing to try many times to get in. Many of us who use them regularly, have reported this to the developer but has gotten no response. The only positive thing going for this app is the desfribeed movies & other audio content. That's about the only reason I keep it on my iPhone. I'm considered taking it off though. Obviously, this developer no longer cares about their product. Save your $5.99/month. Spend it on something else more worthwhile.

### 1/5 — Unusable!!!

*2016-09-20, version 3.0.2*

Since app updated to the latest version, it crashes every time i try to load it on my 4s.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — App needs an update

*2022-09-06, version 3.2.0*

And this app needs an update. It works with iOS 13 and currently it works fine for me but I’m afraid eventually it will stop working because the update is over a year old. Is this app still being updated?

### 5/5 — App needs updated

*2020-06-05, version 3.2.0*

This is a really good app. But, it needs updated. It’s over a year old. Pretty soon it won’t work anymore. Please update
The app has been updated. It’s just as good as ever.

### 5/5 — Excellent resource for visually challenged or anyone.

*2016-02-03, version 2.3.11*

I have has this app since I got my phone. A rare neurological problem makes electronic screen painful for me most of the time. This app is great on voiceover. You do not need any special access for most things. I love blindy and the free reading services that anyone even sighted can enjoy. 10 out of 10!

### 5/5 — Very nice app

*2014-09-29, version 2.3.2*

I like the way that the app works really well with voiceover, with a simple user interfaceand also combines Podcasts from the different sources.

### 5/5 — Great app for the blind

*2014-09-24, version 2.3.2*

A wonderful app to discover useful information to, for, from and by the blind.

### 5/5 — Lots of good stuff, all in one place!

*2014-08-25, version 2.3.1*

The Serotek team does a fantastic job of adding blindness related audio content from a variety of sources.

### 5/5 — Worthwhile Download

*2014-07-18, version 2.3.0*

A lot of informative, entertaining content under one app. There are radio stations of different genres that all can enjoy and podcasts with useful information that will appeal to low vision and blind people as well as those that want to learn more about these communities.

### 5/5 — DDobler

*2014-01-29, version 2.2.0*

I'm very grateful for all of you. A most helpful and wonderful application. You all are doing a great job! You rock!

### 5/5 — The best combination of podcasts, information, and other services for the blind

*2013-06-06, version 2.2.0*

This app and the associated podcast and other content from Serotek is truly the best a visually impaired individual could Desire on their iPhone or iPad. Toss in the system access mobile network content, especially the described video content you can stream, and this app becomes very good to a must-have.
