Cheers! ### 1/5 — So unreliable!! *2026-05-01, version 1.54.1* It’s really frustrating how unreliable this app is. It’s got all the right intentions but it just doesn’t work! I can’t even log in. The Authenticator feature just does not work. I followed the same process and it worked when set it up but didn’t work after. And the whole recovery code thing makes no sense. I get given a bunch of codes but asked to enter a code. Do I enter one of the codes or all of them? Tried both ways and problem persists. Services VIC, this is basic user experience design. The Services NSW app has more a rating of 4.6* with 208k reviews! You need to learn from them. I did reset my password and tried logging in with new password again it failed. Not sure if it is a bug or what. It is happening since a month. Initially I thought maybe issue is from my end. What isn’t good, is the fuel logic. Retailers can just set really high maximums and readjust their prices anywhere within. It says I need to download the app to get the new Servo Saver functionality. Puzzling. And annoying. But not entirely unreasonable. Except the App Store doesn’t ask if I want to update. It only gives the option to Open. That would be, Open the existing version. Not Catch-22, but similar circular logic. Do we have to delete the existing version to get the new version to download? I’m not used to having to delete a version to get a new version to download and install. Even the AFL app doesn’t require that, and it’s the clunkiest app known to Victorians. ### 1/5 — Useless for me! *2026-03-23, version 1.50.1* I have an older iphone (6s). During download the app says I can download the latest version compatible with my operating system (ios 15.8.6). I have done this then when opening app it automatically takes me to the update page and will not progress past that. If I tap “update” it takes me back to the App store where it tells me that my ios is not compatible with the latest version and again offers to download the latest compatible version. Just in a loop. Very disappointing!!! Useless for me!!! Cannot get past update page. Does not seem to be able to be used on older iphones. Have to spend hundreds or thousands to update phone, just to use the Service Victoria app. Not doing that. Just very disappointed!!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Digital inequality and discrimination *2026-08-21, version 1.50.1* The decision to only support phones with newer iOSs is disappointing and feels unfair to users who cannot afford to upgrade their devices regularly. Not everyone has the financial ability to purchase the latest phone, so restricting access based on device age can disproportionately exclude lower-income users. While updating technology is understandable, developers should consider supporting older devices for longer so affordability doesn’t become a barrier to accessing the app. Overall, the app risks contributing to the digital divide rather than providing an inclusive experience for all users. ### 1/5 — One star *2026-08-14, version 1.56.0* Absolutely useless app. I’m trying to add my valid Victorian driver licence, entering the details exactly as they appear on the physical card, and the app simply says “Licence not found.” No useful explanation, no way to resolve the issue, and no proper support when something goes wrong. A government app should be reliable and actually help users when verification fails. When the certificate was in the app. Haven’t logged in for a while. Tried to log in and says ‘doesn’t recognise my email’ . Okaaaay. Keeps telling me to download the app. I have. I even deleted the app and reinstalled. No surprise. But the damn ID isn’t loading. What’s the point of a phone wallet ID if it’s not reliable?! But the entire website keeps on crashing, and cannot get through the entire login set up. Each time it crashes, the email address I used to create an account gets blocked. Ignore the 1 star reviews from people complaining that it doesn’t work with their iPhone 7, jeez it’s 10 years old people - developers can’t support outdated technology forever… You don’t have to splurge for a new phone just upgrade to an iPhone 8 for $100 **Developer response:** Hi Eff1dude-14, thanks for your comment. I just renewed my wwc through the SV app - it took just a few minutes and my renewal came through in less than half an hour. My card in the app updated too. ### 5/5 — Very impressed! *2021-12-12* The VIC Government have done an exceptional job with this app. They have made it easy to use and super helpful to not only add other people to your check in, but now adding their vaccination certificate also! I love that I can favourite places I frequently visit, and that you can see your check in history. Service Vic was the only one available on Medicare at the time. I’ve had nothing but problems with Service NSW seems to download fine from Medicare but won’t connect to Service NSW 1000s having problems. I’m on the Vic NSW border and need both states QR checks! To anyone reading, all data is deleted within 28 days automatically, but check in info is also deleted within that time for places you check in to. Please use your real phone number, as if you are a tier 1 close contact, you’re going to get that phone call to keep you and those you interact with safe. This is great for the tier 3 close contact, and tier 2 where people haven’t been sent an sms because of the speed of updates.
