This makes return trips efficient and professional. Some features on the mobile side of the app could be improved, but overall would recommend! ### 4/5 — Pretty good *2025-09-24, version 7.1.0* Only real annoyance is that there is not a direct way to save contacts in the app and on my phone (IOS 17.6) at the same time- if I get a useful contact number I have to enter it twice. Not sure what the mechanism is here. From my end (contractor employee) the software basically works well ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bring it back. *2026-04-17, version 8.0.1* Please bring back the full map feature. ### 1/5 — By far worst clock app *2025-10-16* Ive been using this app against my will for the last 6 years to clock my time at the various companies I’ve worked for. 1) This app is not dependable, my phone will have full bars, every other app will be working fine and yet service trade will NOT log my clock in or out events, this causes a loss of time for me just sitting, waiting for its slow servers to connect and load. This could take multiple minutes or just outright never connect. 2) sync issues, on the common occurrence this app does not connect to servers it gives you a false sense of security that its actually saving your time, often when it regains connection it will prompt you with an offline sync error and its common for this log to infinitely try to load when you go to sync it. The only other option is to delete it. 3) SPAM for those who use their personal phone and refuse to give location service to the service trade app it will SPAM you with a prompt in the middle of your screen that you HAVE to dismiss EVERY time you open the app, the worst part is that they STACK on top of each other making you click cancel over and over. Need to clock in? BAM! Need to reference a photo to input information to a ticket? BAM! Need to open the app to check contacts? BAM! Need to clock into break? BAM! Need to clock out of break? BAM! I hope this conveys the annoyance and harassment this app inflicts on anyone unfortunate enough to be stuck with it and don’t want their personal phone used as a tracker for service trade or their company to use. Ive already contacted service trade support about this issue but they leave it in the app as a harassment tactic to make you hand over your info. If you are a business looking at this app I strongly encourage you to go with a different option, from the technician side it will cause more time wasted then it seems having to correct everyones time manually when it doesn’t load. ### 1/5 — Horrible app *2025-09-25, version 7.1.0* Worst app ever. Inconsistent. Don’t always log you in doesn’t always log you out. Takes forever to log out. You have to go back and check to see if you’re logged in and go back and check to see if you’ve logged out. ### 1/5 — There has to be a better way. *2025-09-24, version 7.1.0* Very cumbersome and clunky and what I would consider to be the opposite of user-friendly. When attempting to submit tickets, I almost never get a response back in less than 72 hours and problems are not resolved. Been an ongoing frustration point in my job for the past three months solid. It used to work great but it’s constantly fighting glitchesnow and very inconvenient. ### 1/5 — ST is EXCELLENT!!! DeviceMagic needs coding looked at by professionals *2025-06-02, version 6.5.1* Service trade is extremely convenient… easy for new hires to use, notifying customers when you are in route, it’s very convenient; never any issues with this app… HOWEVER…It’s affiliation with Device Magic gives servicetrade a bad name. I have spoken with support, nothing changes. I then went out of my way to create videos for customer support showing device magic crashes, thinking things can be repaired if they see what we see… nothing changes. For example: if you switch from DM app over to any other app, even moving to ST for a customer to sign, when you return to DM, DM will crash 100x out of 100. DM will crash if you breathe heavily, sneeze, or type too fast. Typing reports into the DM app turns a one hour job into a three hour job, and I have the videos to prove it if those at the top of these apps would like demonstrations. At first they claimed because the coding was written for IOS, the crashes had to do with us using android, so we spent money switching all devices to IOS. Still crashes as often as before. DM would get 5 ⭐️ rating across the board, only if they can cease these constant crashes. One would assume after management notices the extra cost being spent towards paying techs extra time to deal with crashes while they type, we’d of switched long time ago…But I am not. l the one making decisions so maybe reviews will help. Since talking with and sending videos to customer service does exactly zero, maybe bad reviews will get someone above customer service to notice. I doubt it… once the data of every one of your customers is locked in with them, it’s cheaper to continue with them then spend the amount of money it would take to make the switch to another app. Even if the other app isn’t as good, but because the other app simply doesn’t crash. ### 1/5 — Meh *2025-05-28, version 6.5.1* Kinda restrictive haven’t been able to accurately clock in and out for over a month ### 1/5 — Hot garbage *2025-05-28, version 6.5.1* My company uses this app so I’m stuck with it. I can upload any documents, pictures and comments from the field and the office staff gets all info needed for future service trips.
