The categories provided by Sesame include sample product photos and the bread photo is Dave’s Killer Bread. I searched for that brand and it’s not the first result, nor anywhere in the top 25 results. I quit looking after that because I searched for other products and they didn’t show up either. Plus they put their sources so it’s a easy and trustworthy app! ### 2/5 — Obsolete *2024-03-01* Useful concept but app is essentially useless without their subscription or paid plan. I know it might be a small startup, so the fees can be justified but it's not really worth it when there are already free apps that do similar scanning. Honestly it wouldn't be a problem if they just didn't market it as a "free app" (technically true, but doesn't make sense considering you can't do anything within the app without paying). I understand the free version will always be more limited, but be honest, nobody is downloading this app to be able to scan exclusively bread and sauce (the only two types of foods you can scan without Sesame Plus). Even a one-time payment to buy the app could be worth it, I am just genuinely concerned for people paying a subscription to a grocery store app... **Developer response:** Hey there - thank you for taking the time to look through our app!
