## What is Session Review Educator?

Session Review Educator is a fast, simple way for teachers and tutors to capture what happened in a lesson and share it with students and parents.

After each session, note what you covered, what to work on next, and attendance. Your student sees it in the companion Session Review Learner app after joining with a six-character code or a QR card. Teach a group? Make a class, read out one code, and the whole room joins.

WHY TEACHERS USE IT
• Quick to fill in — designed to complete during or right after a lesson
• Classes: one code for a whole band, choir or squad, and one session everyone reads — no limit on how many join
• Reusable session templates, so you are never starting from a blank page
• Attendance at a glance, and insights that follow progress over time
• A polished PDF report to email, print or hand over
• Private notes for planning, kept separate from what students see
• Trash, so a deleted session or note can be brought back
• Works on iPhone and iPad, and stays in step across your devices

ONE-WAY BY DESIGN
Session Review runs one way, from teacher to student. There is no chat and no back-and-forth — just clear notes and next steps, so everyone knows what to practise between sessions.

PERFECT FOR
Music teachers, private tutors, sports and skills coaches, band and ensemble directors, and anyone who runs regular one-on-one or group sessions.

FREE AND PRO
Session Review Educator is free to use with up to three students and one class. Log unlimited sessions, write unlimited notes, and view a PDF report for any session without paying anything.

Session Review Pro is an optional annual subscription that adds:
• More than three students, and more than one class
• Sharing and exporting a session's PDF report
• Sending a note to a student

Sessions you write reach your student's Learner app on any tier.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-10-04

What's new in 1.4

• Sign in with Google, using the same account on iPhone, iPad and Android
• Notes sync reliably across devices: a note you delete or edit stays that way everywhere
• Notes now lay out in tidy columns
• Attendance counts late arrivals as attended, and leaves cancelled sessions out
• Reset code now asks before disconnecting anyone who joined
• Home shows every student's sessions right after a reinstall
• Clearer Insights charts and a more legible status bar
• Updated Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, plus many small fixes

### 1.3 — 2026-08-25

Classes are now as simple as a single student.

- Tap a class and write the session — everyone who joined with the class code reads the same note, whether or not you also teach them privately
- One code for the whole room, no limit on how many join, and it now stays a tap away in the class's toolbar
- The roster shows how many sessions each student has, in place of connection status
- Fixed: after creating a class, the app wouldn't let you log a session for it

### 1.2 — 2026-08-15

Classes — teach a whole room with one code.

• Create a class and put your register in it. Read out one six-character code and everyone joins, then picks their own name from the names you wrote.
• One session written for a class is read by everyone in it.
• Everyone on a register is still a student in their own right, with their own code and their own session log, so a private lesson goes to them alone.
• A class page now shows its code, its recent sessions, and how much of the room has joined.
• Classes and students are listed separately, classes first — on the roster and when choosing who a session is for.

Also in this version:
• No email address is collected for a student anywhere in the app.
• Open a QR code from Photos or Files when pointing a camera isn't practical.
• Notifications open what they are about, and "Update available" opens the App Store.
• Headings no longer arrive after the content on the session and note screens, sheets size themselves to what is in them, and the bottom bar keeps clear of the last row on every screen.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-12

Session Review Pro is here.

- Sign in to keep your roster and sessions in step across your devices
- Share a session, or a note, straight to a student's Learner app
- Trash, so a deleted session or note can be brought back
- Download your data, and delete your account, from Settings
- A rebuilt export flow, and a lot of small fixes

### 1.0 — 2026-07-13
