## What is Setgrit?

Setgrit is a strength-training tracker that stays out of your way. It is built to be super simple to use — no fancy gimmicks, no clutter, and none of the unnecessary features that bloat other gym apps. Just a clean, dark, focused place to log your lifts and watch your grit add up.

Open it, start your workout, log your sets. That's it.

SIMPLE BY DESIGN

- A calm, dark interface with nothing to learn. Every screen does one thing well.
- No account. No sign-up. No feed, no social, no ads, no upsells.
- Works fully offline — your training data stays on your device.
- Fast to log mid-set, so you spend your time lifting, not tapping.

WHAT'S INSIDE (and nothing you don't need)

- Build routines: exercises with your sets, reps, weight, rest, and notes.
- Import a routine from text: paste one you copied from your notes, Reddit, or any website and Setgrit turns it into an editable routine — right on your device.
- Run a workout set by set with an automatic rest timer that starts itself.
- Keep a browsable history of every session, with photos and notes.
- See at a glance which muscle groups a routine trains.
- Stay motivated with PR medals, streaks, and milestone badges — quiet
  encouragement, never noise.
- Pick up right where you left off: minimize an in-progress workout and resume it
  from anywhere.

That's the whole app. No bloat, no distractions — just the tools you actually use
on the gym floor.

WHY SETGRIT

Most workout apps try to do everything and end up getting in the way. Setgrit
does the opposite: it keeps the loop tight — plan, lift, log, repeat — with a
clean design that respects your time and your attention. If you want a
straightforward strength log that feels good to use every session, this is it.

Log your lifts. Earn your grit.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.2 — 2026-09-07

Bug fix:

• The workout overview now shows the sets, weight, and reps you actually logged in your last workout for each exercise — instead of the routine's original planned numbers. Exercises you haven't done yet still show the planned target.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-09-04

Bug fix release:

• Rest timer now shows in the Dynamic Island minimal view — see the countdown at a glance even when multiple Live Activities are running.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-09-02

Rest timer chime now plays reliably in the background:

• The chime plays even when Setgrit is in the background or your phone is locked — no more missed timer alerts.
• Works in both silent and non-silent mode.
• If notification permissions are off, a clear warning shows in the workout screen with a link to Settings.
• Workout elapsed time now shows in the Dynamic Island while you train.
• Reorder exercises mid-workout with the new drag handle in the toolbar.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-31

Editing routines just got better, plus two rest-timer fixes:

• Replace an exercise right in the editor — swap the movement in place, keeping your sets, reps, and weight.
• New Reorder button shows a compact list of exercise names for easy drag-and-drop.
• The rest timer no longer freezes when you switch to another app — it keeps real time and catches up when you return.
• The rest chime no longer leaves your music quieter afterwards; other audio returns to full volume right away.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-29

This update fixes a batch of workout issues:

• Your Settings → Rest default is now respected in a workout — it no longer falls back to 90 seconds.

• Change an exercise's rest time mid-workout — tap the rest chip in the exercise header.

• Finishing a workout now asks you to confirm first, and still offers to update your routine when you've changed it.

• Exercise search finds lifts by muscle (like "biceps") or equipment, not just by name.

• The rest-timer chime now plays even when your ringer is on silent.

• The tab bar stays tappable while a workout is minimized, and the Dynamic Island shows the new Setgrit mark.
