## What is SetScope?

SetScope is the precision toolkit for cinematographers, directors, focus pullers and producers: a director’s viewfinder, a sun tracker and every calculator the camera department needs.

Set your camera once: 84 cinema cameras and film gates — ARRI, Sony, RED, Canon, Blackmagic Design, Panasonic, Nikon and more — with every recording mode, and every tool uses your format.

DIRECTOR’S VIEWFINDER
• Full screen, edge to edge: the exact gate of any camera mode and focal length, with anamorphic desqueeze and full-frame equivalents
• Several frame lines at once — 2.39, 2.00, 1.85, 16:9, 1.43, 4:3, 9:16, 4:5 and custom — plus safe areas, grid and horizon level
• Lens compare frames every lens in your kit at once; pinch or tap a lens to switch
• Uses the native iPhone lens that covers your framing for the sharpest preview, and tells you when a lens is wider than your iPhone can see
• Tap to focus and expose, hold to lock AE/AF; extraction and protection lines at 95, 90 or 80%
• Anamorphic modes apply their squeeze automatically
• Save frames and record clips stamped with camera, mode, lens and angle of view (Pro)

SUN TRACKER
• Sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour, twilight and solar noon in the location’s own time zone — correct from the equator to the midnight sun
• Drag through the day to see the sun’s azimuth, elevation and shadow at any time
• Moon phase, moonrise, moonset and the moon’s path
• Map planner: sunrise, sunset, sun and moon directions from any pin, with place search (Pro)
• Saved locations and golden and blue hour alerts for the next 7 days (Pro)
• AR sun path aligned with the real sun in one tap, and planning for any date (Pro)

LENS & OPTICS
• Depth of Field — near, far and hyperfocal from the focal plane, with a CoC matched to your format
• Field of View — angles, scene coverage and lens equivalence across formats

EXPOSURE & LIGHT
• Exposure & ND — match T-stop, shutter, frame rate, EI and ND; turn lux or foot-candles into a T-stop
• Shutter & Flicker — shutter angle to speed, and flicker-safe angles and frame rates for 50 Hz and 60 Hz, including slow-drift warnings
• Light Falloff — inverse-square photometrics in lux or foot-candles
• Color & Gels — the mired shift and the exact LEE or Rosco correction gel or gel stack (Pro)

TIME, DATA & PRODUCTION
• Frame Rate & Slow Motion — speed, screen time and exposure compensation
• Timelapse — interval, frame count and clip length
• Timecode — add, subtract and convert, with drop-frame and real-time duration
• Aspect & Framing — extraction, desqueeze and delivery letterbox or pillarbox
• Data Rate & Storage — ProRes, ARRIRAW, BRAW, REDCODE, X-OCN and more: record times and drive budgets (Pro)
• Slate & Shot Log — a digital slate and camera reports exported as PDF or CSV (Pro)

KIT & LIBRARY
• Rigs for every camera on the job, gear lists, rate cards, a camera database and a field guide

No account, no ads and no tracking. Calculations run on your iPhone.
