## What is SetsRepsWheels?

SetsRepsWheels logs the sets, weights and repetitions of weight training. All the sets of an exercise are on one screen, and you set the numbers with picker wheels that start where you left them the last time you did that exercise — so tracking an exercise is just some flicks and a tap. There is a companion Apple Watch app that logs the same workout at the machine, and you can hand a workout over between your iPhone and your Watch part-way through. Everything stays on your devices unless you turn something on yourself.
I made this app for myself because I wanted logging to be quicker than in the apps I tried. It is deliberately bare-bones. I hope you find it useful too (though it is probably not the best workout app for everybody).

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-08-14

Rest timer — optional, and off until you switch it on in Settings. With it on, a rest is counted after every set you log.
Roll a wheel to what you just lifted and the rest starts; a countdown covers the screen, and "skip rest" ends it early.
You can pocket the phone while it runs. A notification arrives when the rest is over, and if you have an Apple Watch nearby, it taps your wrist.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-07

Statistics
The logs screen becomes logs/stats, with four tabs. Graphs show how your estimated one-rep max is moving for each exercise, with a trend line. Progress ranks your exercises from least to most improvement, so whatever is stuck is at the top. Both appear once you have logged an exercise in eight workouts.

An exercise library
Ready-made exercises for every muscle group, so you need not describe each one yourself. Find them on a body diagram — tap a muscle to see the exercises for it — or by plain buttons if you prefer. Star the ones you use most.

Muscle groups
Every exercise records the muscles it works, which is what the diagram and the filters go by.

Simpler editing
One screen for all your exercises. Drag to reorder a workout instead of opening a separate screen. Names must be unique, and nothing is saved until you tap save.

Optional sharing
You can now share your logged sets anonymously to help improve the app. It is off unless you turn it on, it never includes your name or your exercise names, and turning it off deletes what was shared.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-23

Added Apple Watch companion app and option to share workout time to Apple Health/Fitness.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-05-06

Compacted log screen, option to share data among iOS devices, added JSON download.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-04-17

Improved the sensitivity to swiping in the "Log Exercise" screen.
