## What is Settl?

Settl is a group money pooling app that turns shared expenses into binding agreements. Set the rules once, share a link, and funds are held securely until the pool closes. Money moves automatically when conditions are met, and everyone gets a full refund if they are not.

Whether you are splitting a group trip, collecting for a gift, running a fantasy league, or organizing an office pool, Settl makes sure everyone pays their fair share and receives exactly what was agreed to from the start.

How it works:

Create a pool with a goal amount, a deadline, and payout rules. Share the link with your group. Contributors pay in knowing exactly what they agreed to before a single dollar moves. When the pool closes, funds are released automatically according to the terms everyone accepted.

Two pool types:

Pay one person back — everyone contributes toward a single recipient, like the person who booked the Airbnb or fronted the group gift. The organizer closes the pool when ready and receives the funds immediately.

Distribute to the group — collect a shared pot and assign payouts to contributors when the pool settles. Perfect for fantasy leagues, contests, tournaments, and office pools. Contributors can vote to approve the distribution before money moves, giving everyone a say in the outcome.

Complete transparency:

Every contribution, vote, and payout is logged and visible to all participants from start to finish. Rules are locked at creation and cannot be changed. Funds are held by Settl, not the organizer, until the pool is ready to close. If conditions are not met, everyone receives a full refund automatically.
