## What is Settle?

Nobody wants to decide? Settle it.

You know the chat. "Where should we eat?" Forty messages later, three people have gone quiet, one person has listed every restaurant in town, and nothing is booked. The problem was never a shortage of opinions. It's that nobody wants to be the one who picks.

Settle is the shortest path from "what should we do" to "done."

HOW IT WORKS
1. Type the question and a few options. Twenty seconds.
2. Drop one link in the group chat. No app to install, no account to make. People answer in their browser.
3. Everyone answers privately. Two taps per option: does this work for you, and is it your favorite?
4. Settle shows the group the real picture: what works for the most people, and what people actually want.
5. If it's close, tap "Settle it for us." Settle makes the final call from the options that work. Nobody has to own it.

WHY IT WORKS
• Private, not anonymous. People say what they actually think when nobody can see their individual answer. Only the totals are shown.
• "Doesn't work" means it, and a star means it. Settle separates hard constraints from preferences, so one person's allergy isn't treated like another person's mild opinion.
• Missing answers never count as a yes. The person who didn't reply isn't steamrolled, and they're shown as the one holding things up.
• The trade-off is stated in plain words. "Lula works for everyone. Monteverde has more first-choice picks but leaves one person out." Now the group can actually choose.
• Handing off the final call removes the social cost of deciding. When two options are within a hair of each other, the group doesn't need a winner and a loser. It needs a plan.

AFTER IT'S SETTLED
Open the pick in Maps, put it on the calendar, and share a clean "Settled" card back to the chat. Then Settle gets out of the way. It is not another group chat.
