### 2/5 — Great Concept Lacking Execution

*2022-01-16*

This app is a great resource for the aspiring and experienced Catan nerd alike. The compatibility with expansions makes playing any game a joy. Letting go of the worry of missing out on resources take a weight off that leaves bandwidth for deeper strategy, and makes (my friends, at least) less concerned with their own resources and more open to trade. The game stats page really scratches the statistical itch over how the games actually play out: I can empirically prove there were twice as many 8s as 6s!

However there are some major, and some minor, issues that detract from the experience…

The first is the interface itself, which gets stuck sometimes when switching in an out of the app. Not usually too much of an issue if the game is engrossing enough, but if I need to answer a message, or worse if I want to use a dice app, I have to risk losing a whole game of stats and configuration. This could be mitigated in part with an internal dice roll, which would also remove the need to enter every roll, as it could record its own results.

### 3/5 — Six bucks, and it’s not even compatible on iPadOS?

*2024-09-22*

Sure, it works, but it’s really annoying to run an iPhone size display on an iPad Pro screen

### 4/5 — Great app, but keep it growing!

Sending this to the developer as well, but found an annoying bug. When using Seafarers with C&K, it won’t let you downgrade a city to a settlement if it leaves the player with only 2 points. This happens a lot where the barbarians ”win” early in the game before someone gets an active knight. If they only have a settlement and city, it won’t let you downgrade the city, unless you have an additional settlement to maintain at least 3 points.

### 4/5 — Awesome App That’s Missing Just 1 Thing

*2022-02-04*

I love this app, it helps me keep track of who gets what. However, I wish it would store this information in a log I could actively reference during the game so that I would know who has the resources I need. Beyond this concept, it would be even better if this log would take robberies into account and possibly even trades between players, adjusting the total amount of resources a player has. I know these features are far easier said than done, but I really think they could drive up the overall utility of this app. Overall, I enjoy using this app as it serves an invaluable role in my Catan experience.

### 4/5 — Great Tool

*2021-01-08*

Just used it for first time and love it. Agree with need fir C&K to be merged with Seafarers so gold is an option. Also need to be able to choose victory point total for various C&K scenarios. For example, need option to choose win total if we play to 16 or 20 points.

Last suggestion...would be helpful to track Barbarian strength vs. Knights in C&K for an easy tracker and quick count.

### 4/5 — App is awesome...

I love this app a lot. The only thing it needs is customizable victory points and support for gold fields. Then it’ll get a perfect 5 stars from me.

### 5/5 — Great app, but keep it growing!

Sending this to the developer as well, but found an annoying bug. When using Seafarers with C&K, it won’t let you downgrade a city to a settlement if it leaves the player with only settlements and no cities. It REQUIRES every player to have at least one city before taking you back to the screen with the dice roll input. We’ve tried the “downgrade” city button, but this doesn’t work.

### 5/5 — Great app, but keep it growing!

My family and I love using this for our game night. One thing we all agree on is that it would be great having a dice roll tracker. You can see what numbers rolled now often at the end of the game when everything is finished, but having a current, in game tracker would be one less thing we’d have to keep up with with paper and pen!

### 5/5 — Perfect Companion to Catan!

*2022-11-19*

This app keeps track of the essential parts of the game. Updating player information such as settlement placement is quick enough, and the time savings of not having to repeatedly scan the board every roll is well worth it. Only other option I’d like to see is a way to track who’s roll / turn it is. Sometimes we lose track of rolled last while discussing trades or taking snack breaks. Oh and maybe add in a dice roller to the app to fully round it out.

### 5/5 — Awesome! Still being developed

*2020-02-02*

This app is so amazing, but after you buy the Cities and Knights and Seafarers expansions you cant play them together. You can play C&K, but gold is not an option. You can play Seafarers, but no knight activity. This is a big negative in my book, but overall this is a great app. If you don't mix the 2 expansion, it works perfectly. I would love this feature to be added considering after the in app purchases its around $10.

Update - I upped my rating to 5* since I put in the above suggestions as well as a few others and the app developer actually contacted me back. He is already working on integrating the 2 expansions. So excited, can’t wait.
