I literally can’t look at anything because it only gives me a couple minutes to look at each magazine! And personally I can’t purchase anything so that’s very unfair! So thanks for making this the worst app ever !😑 ### 4/5 — Pretty great! *2017-08-11, version 5.4.4* I think the app could use some improvement but I really love all the magazines! I'm not saying I don't appreciate "girl power" or anything like that, but it's just annoying to see it in every issue. Also, I think this magazine just wants to be popular because they keep using words like "bae" and other lingo that will quickly wear out. Overall, a terrible product...DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THIS MAGAZINE!!!!!!!!' ### 3/5 — Buying November 2014 issue *2014-10-29, version 3.3.2* I'm trying to buy the November 2014 issue with One Direction on the cover and it goes to process my request and I feel like I've sat there for five minutes, having to keep the app open no less, for my magazine to download. Wondered if another update is coming out soon. ### 2/5 — Frustrated *2013-10-27, version 2.5.1* So, when I downloaded the June 2013 magazine, the app crashed right when it finished the download, and when I pulled it up again, all previous purchases were no longer downloaded and refused to do so. At the advice of the app help page, I uninstalled the app, reinstalled it and then restored my purchases. It only restored 5 out of 12 magazines. I lost seven magazines and could not restore them - in fact, they were no longer even listed as purchased. I contacted Seventeen and they replied back that they were aware of the missing issues problem and were looking to fix it. I don't know if any of the updates were supposed to help with that, but I've never been able to restore the seven magazines I lost. I still use old magazines! The clothes might become out of date, but I still use the makeup tutorials and the hair sections and the exercises in the magazines! And I lost all of those! I'm ticked off to say the least. There was supposed to be a solution and there never was. I payed for those magazines! That's money out the window! And, probably any chance of me getting a magazine off of this app again. I'll probably just get a paper subscription. That way, if I lose magazines, I'll at least be able to find them again. ### 2/5 — Crashing *2013-07-07, version 2.5.0* I normally love this magazine but I recently downloaded a new magazine after uploading but it wouldn't load and kept saying unzipping so I shut my device down after numerous tries of loading the magazine. When I tried to pull up the app though it just crashes. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it tends to crash a lot. Also, sometimes when I open an issue it only shows black. The magazine doesn't pop up. I loved how interactive to was and I didn't have to flip all the pages. Then the new issues wouldn't open. I thought it was just a minor glitch so I got this version. Now none of my issues will load and I cant even open it half the time. I purchased it an hour ago and it's only on 7%, but it was still a good magazine and afford more than you could get with a paper version. Eventually, after weeks of trying to get it successfully open, I got it. However, ONCE AGAIN I am having this issue with October magazine. This is seriously angering me and I think I might cancel my subscription. PLEASE UPDATE TO PERMANENTLY FIX THIS!!! ### 5/5 — Love this *2012-08-18, version 2.1.1* I've been reading other people's reviews and they're saying its a "bad buy" and "don't waste your money" but actually I think this is a great magazine. I mean the magazines are only $2.99 to buy. It's more in the stores, so it's not really "wasting your money". I'm having no problem at all with "subscription issues". Also when trying to change your password it doesn't work and says it couldn't process it. Very disappointed I couldn't read my magazines on my ipad that I already own and very disappointed in the app. ### 1/5 — What the heck? *2013-02-18, version 2.3.1* I expected so much more from Seventeen. The magazines occasionally crash and take forever to load. And there's NO MORE INTERACTIVITY! You used to be able to click on photos and see exclusive photos of celebrities, but they took that feature away! Now, I basically pay extra money for this magazine just because it's on the iPad. When I found out I could purchase magazines on my iPad, I was thrilled. But the app has let me down. After I have purchased the magazine it takes a painful amount of time to download if it downloads at all. And if I exit the app, it will not function properly afterwards. When the download says "100% Unzipping" it goes on forever and my connection is very strong. I exit the app and it says its in my library but when I go to click on it the black screen pops up. I then archive it and try again but the same thing occurs. Please fix this as soon as possible. ### 1/5 — Nice but.... *2012-08-26, version 2.1.1* This magazine was nice, but there are a few problems. I started downloading this on a good wifi connection at 9 am and was able to read it at 5 pm! (While it downloaded I barely used my iPad and it only seemed to make progress when I was in the 17 app.) Also I don't like it when I'm reading in portrait mode and accidentally go to landscape then back to portrait that I'm off the page I originally was on. Now the latest issue of the magazine won't even work -- It's a black screen! This happened after the last update, which you had to download in order to continue purchasing mags. Oh, and for the people who complain, "This mag isn't free!" think of it this way: would you rather pay for the app AND magazine or just the magazine? This company has to make money --- have you ever seen it on the stand in the stores? Their sales would plummet if they gave free copies away in the app. But on the good side I like the video integration and exclusive iPad user deals. Fix those problems and I'd rate it 5 stars. ### 1/5 — This is getting so annoying!!! *2012-05-23, version 1.0.7* It really PISSES me off that the developers of this app haven't fix this issue with the black screen. I really was happy when I had this app and paid for the year subscription and it work perfectly fine....until after 2 or 3 magazines that it was freezing on a page, and I was okay with that issue. What gets me furious is the fact I can't even access it cause there's just a black screen that just stays there....so thanks for making me pay for something that doesn't even work, Seventeen! The other magazine apps by this developer have problems too. It's a shame that Hearst magazine won't even read the reviews here and fix the bugs. I have to say that until they make the support better or fix their apps DO NOT BY THIS APP OR MY OTHERS BY HEARST MAGAZINE. I have already waisted over $10 on their apps and I not even get to enjoy the issues. For whatever reason, we were able to view the first issue by mail and online, but now, Apple wants to charge again.
