## What is Sevgi Bağı?

Sevgi Bağı is a comprehensive Islamic companion born from the work of the same name by İsmail Çetin — and it stays by your side throughout your daily worship, free and ad-free.

ABOUT THE WORK
"Sevgi Bağı" ("the bond of love") consists of two parts. The first expounds the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'ah, based on "Bad' al-Amali (Qasida al-Lamiyya)" by Imam Sirajuddin Ali bin Uthman al-Ushi al-Farghani (d. 569 AH) and its Turkish verse translation by Sheikh Hafiz Rafi' Efendi of Yanya. The second part gathers "Hizb al-A'zam" together with the words of refuge, supplications and dhikr a believer recites from morning to night. The name points to the bond of love between a servant and Allah, woven and strengthened through remembrance and prayer.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 4.53.0 — 2026-08-28

• The country, city and district lists are now searchable when adding a location, with Turkish-accent-insensitive matching.
• Central metropolitan districts such as Kadikoy, Cankaya and Konak now appear under their own names in the district list and search, and "Use My Current Location" saves your location under your district's name. Prayer times match the official provincial calendar.
• Online hatim: the organizer can now mark the closing hatim prayer as done and participants see the seal. The hatim prayer text itself can now be read in the app.
• Fixed a crash when opening the share sheet on iPad, including hatim invite links, verse and evliya sharing.
• When adding a location, the district list was out of alphabetical order in 39 of the 81 Turkish provinces; it now follows Turkish collation everywhere.
• Fixed a rare crash when swiping quickly between pages in the Qur'an and book reader.
• Fixed a crash when the system refused to store a prayer reminder.
• Fixed a crash when starting Qur'an or Dalail audio while another app held the audio session.
• Lock screen widgets now update immediately when your city changes; they used to keep showing the old city until the next prayer time.
• With multiple saved locations, widgets now always show your first location; background refreshes of other locations no longer override it.
• Saved locations you added yourself are no longer removed when you travel.
• Prayer notifications are now set for your active location only, so a second saved location no longer produces duplicate reminders.
• Prayer times now refresh more quickly after a connection problem.
• Home screen personalization and share options now appear in German, Spanish, French and Dutch; they used to stay in English.
• Participants whose display name contains an emoji showed a broken character instead of an initial in the khatm list; fixed.
• Book reader: the last lines no longer hide behind the jump-to-top button when scrolled to the end.
• Hatim screen colors: the sealed dua now stands out in its own (gold) color, and "claimed by me" markers match between the grid and the legend.

### 4.52.0 — 2026-08-24

### 4.51.0 — 2026-08-20

• Bookmarked pages now back up to your account when you sign in with Apple or Google, and come back after a reinstall or on a new device.
• Your missed-prayer (kaza) tracker backs up the same way.
• Reworked where the Qibla compass reads its direction from: the heading now comes from the device's motion sensors.
• Fixed the Qibla compass never reaching its aligned state where the Qibla runs close to due north.
• Fixed notes in the in-app "What's new" sheet being cut off mid-sentence when they wrapped onto a second line.
• Fixed everyone in an online hatim showing as "Participant" — the initials of whoever took a juz now show as intended.
• Fixed your account screen showing your email address in place of your name and profile photo.
• Your "read" markers for evliyas now back up to your account too.
• Your dhikr counter and the dhikr you have selected now back up to your account too.
• Fixed the first page turn after opening the Quran via "Continue reading" jumping abruptly instead of animating.

### 4.50.0 — 2026-08-17

• New management screen for saved prayer-time locations: reorder them from one place (the first one drives the widget), delete one or all; notification, calculation-method and home-screen settings now live here too. The home screen's expanding menu is replaced by a one-tap button opening this screen.
• Deleting your last saved location no longer leaves the home-screen widget showing that location's prayer times; it falls back to its empty state. Deleting any one location also re-points the widget at the remaining first.
• The "no prayer times" message on the home-screen widget no longer collapses into a single cut-off line; it reads in full even on the smallest widget.
• Widget text now follows your phone's larger text-size setting, and stays readable without being cut off at every widget size.
• Opening the Qur'an reader through a link to a particular verse (notification, widget or a shared link) now lands on that verse instead of the top of the surah.
• Opening the reader straight into a verse from a link used to leave the first-open coach-marks blocking VoiceOver; the tour now waits for the next ordinary open.
• Prayer times could come up empty when the Diyanet service briefly returned an out-of-date calendar. The app now rejects such a response and falls back to times calculated on the device instead of overwriting the saved ones.
• The Sevgi Bağı, Delâilü'l-Hayrât and Cevşen readers can now save pages: the bookmark button marks the page you are on, and the list beside it takes you back with a single tap. Each entry also shows that page's opening words, so saved pages can be told apart without going by number. In Cevşen pages are saved per bab.
• On the Online Khatm screen your completed khatms now sit at the very bottom, below the open ones, so the top of the list is only khatms you are still reading or can still join.
• Starting a khatm without picking an end date now sets one three weeks out, so whoever forgets a claimed juz still gets the reminder push. A date you do pick now runs to the end of that day instead of expiring at its start.
• Turning on "notify me on every completed juz" or "remind me near the end" in a khatm's settings now asks for notification permission when it hasn't been granted. The switch used to turn on and quietly deliver nothing; if you decline, the snackbar takes you straight to the OS settings.
• Three Dalail al-Khayrat salawat showed only the opening sentences of their Turkish translation; the full text is now there — Wednesday's closing (40th) salawat and Monday's 39th and 44th. (Thanks to a reader's report.)
• Cleaned up the page breaks in the Sevgi Bağı reader: a du'a, a verse or a recitation count is no longer split across two pages.
• Opening your juz in the digital Qur'an from a khatm sent juz 7 and 11 a page back, to a page the juz has not started on yet; every juz now opens on its own first page.
• The coach-marks that should greet you the first time you open Online Khatm never showed; they are back, and now cover the "Start a khatm" button too.
• The juz number in the Qur'an reader's title now names the juz the mushaf prints on that page. On pages a juz starts mid-way through (62, 121, 201, 502) it could read one too low or one too high.
• On iPhones with no Mail account set up, the send-feedback button closed the app; it now opens your email app directly.

### 4.49.0 — 2026-08-12

• Coordinates for every Diyanet district in Germany, the Netherlands and
France now ship with the app: adding a location via GPS resolves the
district precisely as the nearest one instead of guessing by name, and
while offline these locations compute their times on-device in the correct
time zone.
• Prayer times no longer come up empty when the Diyanet service can't be
reached. In Turkey on-device, Diyanet-matching times step in; abroad they now
do too, using the calculation method that country is served by — previously
there was no fallback at all outside Turkey.
• Prayer reminders now take one tap: a button at the top of the screen turns on
all five daily prayers at once. Switches apply immediately, with no Save to
press — some prayers used to look on without ever being scheduled.
• The Quran reader now offers per-verse tafsir (Al-Mukhtasar): via the book
icon next to each verse in list mode, or by long-pressing a verse on the
mushaf page. Once opened, a surah's tafsir is available offline. The share
button sends the verse, its translation and the tafsir as one text.
• Long-pressing a verse on the mushaf page now also offers share and listen.
• Fixed two crashes in the Quran reader: one when jumping to a verse, one when
the first-open tour started.
• Reminders that were switched on while the OS permission was off used to go
silent with nothing to show for it: the warning now appears the moment you
open the notification settings, and its shortcut opens the system
notification settings directly. Grant it and come back and the warning
clears itself, scheduling the reminders the refusal had blocked.
• The switch at the bottom of the notification settings no longer sits flush
against the edge of the screen, where it was awkward to tap.
• Fixed two regions of Dalail al-Khayrat where Turkish translations had
slipped one salawat down (Monday from salawat 39 to the end, and the first
31 salawats of Tuesday). Restored the missing translations of Monday's
closing dua and one Tuesday salawat, and repaired a Saturday translation
that showed Arabic instead of Turkish. (Thanks to a reader's report.)
• Feedback now opens in Mail's built-in composer, with the device and
version details as a dimmed footnote below your message.
• Tapping a hatim invite link now shows the hatim itself before asking you to
sign in: its name, progress and participants. An account is only required
when claiming a juz.
• Claimed-but-forgotten juz no longer stall a hatim: once the deadline has
passed, or a juz has sat unfinished for 7 days, another participant can
take it over after a confirmation.
• Claiming a juz no longer requires an account — anyone can take one
directly. Those who claim without an account see a note suggesting they
link one so their progress survives a phone change. (Starting a hatim
still requires an account.)
• Hiding and re-showing the Qur'an reader's bottom bar could leave the screen
reader (VoiceOver) unable to see anything in the app; fixed.
• The intro tour shown the first time you open the Qur'an reader and Online
Hatim had not appeared for two releases; it is back. Its coach-marks are
now read out by screen readers too.
