### 5/5 — Excellent support

*2024-05-29*

I have been using this app for years. I love it because of the simplicity. I don’t like all the extra stuff the other apps add; it’s like going to a restaurant and being given 100 choices—it’s just too much.

Recently the app stopped working and would close within a minute of opening. I emailed the developer, Klaus, who told me to disable cloud syncing. Lo and behold, it worked! I am so happy and will support this lovely dev’s other apps as I also knit. Thank you Klaus!

**Developer response:** You’re very welcome! I will continue looking for the cause as to why the synchronization didn’t work in your case.

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — Useful!

*2024-05-10*

This app is so easy to use and easy to add your patterns, whether pdf or paper. It's so useful to have all my patterns listed so when I'm looking for something specific I can search for it either by name or category. Helps with planning what to sew next and to have all yardage and fabric needs and instructions all in one place. Well worth the one time payment of only a few dollars.

### 5/5 — Great job

*2024-03-24*

I’ve been having a wonderful time putting in the pattern in. What a great idea. Now my problem, I have reached pattern # 421 an I can no take pictures. I can enter all the other information. I’ve gone to settings & have 250 GB of storage. It’s an iPhone. Any idea what I’m doing wrong? Also how do I engage family sharing? I don’t see it in settings.
Am updating my review. If I could give this a 10star, I would. The developer contacted me promptly. He is looking into my problem with my iPhone. I entered all the rest (575) patterns on my iPad. Tedious but worth while. Now I have all my patterns at my fingertips when I go shopping for fabric. Wonderful app!

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear you are having problems - if you can contact me at app_developer@krogholm-it.dk, I will do my best to help you troubleshoot. Best regards, Claus

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2024-02-24*

I love the fact that this isn’t a subscription, and it does everything I need. Until the Fabric version comes out I’ve managed to find a way to put that on there too!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your review! I still don’t know exactly when the Fabric version will be out, but great to hear you are managing in the mean time. Best regards, Claus

### 5/5 — Game changer!

*2024-02-02*

I currently have almost 500 different sewing patterns. I was constantly having to search and forget that I had certain patterns and then I would buy more and then I would find the one I had initially been searching for it and it was just a struggle to keep organized. I stumbled on this one just a few days ago and decided to buy the unlimited version and I love it. I have so far cataloged almost 300 of my patterns and it has been so easy to see what I have and in what sizes and what it looks like and I cannot thank this developer enough for creating this because it seriously has solved such a huge problem in my life. I have been telling everyone I know about it I love it that much. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

**Developer response:** Users like you are the exact reason this app exists 🙂 Thank you very much for the kind review!

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2023-11-15, version 1.4.11*

This app is great! Helps me remember what patterns I have and gives me one place to store photos of all the versions of that pattern I have made. It is also great for inspiration and keeping track of patterns you are thinking of making/purchasing. Thank you for making such a useful tool!!

### 5/5 — Brilliant!

*2023-09-30*

Very useful app, much better that what i was using before. Love the aesthetic and how you can customise the cover image and being able to add the pdf instructions is genius 👌🏻 The only thing I would change is being able to just drag and drop an image to add it to a pattern, rather than having to upload everytime. Reguardless, worth every penny.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your review! Your suggestion on drag and drop is noted.

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — Patterns

*2023-09-14*

Love this app! It is very handy to have the details of my patterns all in one place and for use when choosing fabrics and notions on the run.

**Developer response:** Happy to hear it - I hope you’ll keep enjoying the app!

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2023-08-15*

I have just moved over to using a projector for sewing patterns and got rid of all my paper patterns but didn’t know how to keep a record of my pdf patterns. I did a search and a few options were recommended. I looked at the free trial option but some were so busy and muddly but loved this one. Such a perfect solution and so easy to use and now I have all my patterns grouped and easy to find and see my options. Big thanks but I think it should be a higher price point.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind review - the benefits you mention are exactly the reasons for creating the app in the first place, so I am happy to hear that it appears that way too!

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — GREAT!

*2023-07-14*

What a great find. It was hard for me to keep track of which patterns I used for things I had made, especially YouTube as even when I saved the clips they did not resemble mine. In this app, I can store the original picture, plus mine. Now I can just photograph things I make, then store all the info, like pattern number or YouTube address. I love the fact that I can include link to where pattern is.

### 5/5 — Organize your Sewing patterns!

*2023-06-26*

This is a great solution to organizing your dozens (or hundreds!) of patterns. It is not immediately intuitive, but spend some time with it and you will not be sorry. When you are done with some picture taking and input, you'll be able to search for patterns by number, or that work with specific fabrics, or by type of apparel . You can even categorize 1 pattern by as many options as needed (eg: if pants, top, and a hat are in that envelope). This is a game changer for sewing organization!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your review - I am happy to hear that you are enjoying the app!

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — Great Sewing App

*2023-06-05*

This is a GREAT all with Multiple Useable features!!! I only use 3-4 features—a pic of front& back of pattern, size & quantity (sometimes I get multiples of the same pattern to get a full range of sizes) & these 3 features have been invaluable in helping me TAME my 683 and counting patterns. Only draw back is I don’t see a way to sort them by numerical order. STILL a great App!!

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for your kind review!

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — Excellent way to keep track of patterns

*2023-02-25*

It took a while to initially add all my patterns but now that I have it set up and organized it’s awesome! I took pics of both the front and back of the pattern envelopes. This way when I’m out shopping I never have to guess how much fabric I need. I simply take a look at the pattern I’m thinking of using, find the amount of fabric required and any notions I need.

It’s also great when I’m purchasing patterns, I can quickly check to see if I already have a pattern before purchasing.

Take your time setting up the main categories and sub categories, and you will be set! Love this app!

**Developer response:** Sorry for the late reply, but I just wanted to thank you for your review!

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — Brilliant!

*2023-02-18*

Just make sure you’re adding your patterns under the patterns tab, not the category tab.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review! You can add Patterns both ways - have you experiences issues with adding directly via the Category? Best regards, Claus

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don’t buy it

*2026-07-06*

It would be great if it worked but has not worked for 5 years

**Developer response:** Have you reached out for help during those 5 years? I would have been happy to assist. Best regards, Claus

### 1/5 — Seeing Patterns App bought but won’t open

*2024-01-15*

My iPhone6 has operating system 12.4 but won’t open. Need help. Margaret in Australia

**Developer response:** I am sorry to hear that. If you can contact me at app_developer@krogholm-it.dk, I will do what I can to help troubleshoot the issue. Best regards, Claus

### 1/5 — Crashed and lost >100 patterns I had listed

*2019-01-19, version 1.3.4*

Not happy. I purchased this app to have my sewing pattern inventory at my fingertips. Worked fine for about 3 weeks; then app crashed and now ALL of my >100 sewing patterns are GONE. Waste of many hours of photo taking and inputting these patterns. Developers you need to fix this!!

### 2/5 — Meh

*2023-03-06*

I loved this app at first, I had all my patterns stored in it. Recently thou it has been deleting my patterns. I started having over 20 I’m down to just 5 now. Not sure why they keep deleting them.

**Developer response:** I am sorry to hear about your issue, which seems very strange. If you would contact me at app_developer@krogholm-it.dk, I would like to see if I can help you find out what has happened to your patterns.

Best regards,
Claus

### 3/5 — Repeating info constantly

*2023-02-19*

First I thought I could scan the barcode to add a pattern. Second I thought that once you add a pattern you could then add it to more than one category. But you have to add the pattern all over again. Also you can’t create a fabric ‘cotton’ and then add different patterns to it. You have to write in cotton each time. So 😔- not brilliant. But it’s the only one I could find.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review - I am sorry not everything is to your liking. You can actually assign a Pattern to as many Categories as you like (via the “Categories” field that will open a dialog where you can choose multiple). Your comment about the Fabric is actually a good suggestion, which I will put on my list for a future update. Best regards, Claus

### 3/5 — Useful

*2021-07-07*

I just started logging my patterns and can see this will be a very useful app. However it needs to be more user friendly! It would seem they could have a data base of patterns others have already uploaded so you could just add the pattern number. It could leave the review and note sections for each user to put their own information. The basic photos, notions, category, pattern maker & #, along with size choices should be standard for all the major pattern brands. As it is, this is going to take forever and will definitely cut into my sewing time!

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review.

There is no centralized database - all data that is entered stays on the user’s device only (but can be synchronized to other devices via the user’s personal iCloud account). I understand why you would want to be able to share some of the basic information for the patterns, and will put it on my list for potential future developments.

Best regards,
Claus

### 3/5 — Frustrating onboarding but so handy to have

*2020-10-05, version 1.4.6*

I am a vintage pattern hoarder. I also buy reproduction patterns. Having an app like this could help me sooo much. However, cataloguing everything takes forever because of some of the issues with the app functionality. A recent update fixed one of my issues (all the help info kept directing me to “menu” but there was no menu option - they were using the share icon to mean “add”, but that has been changed. I am still hoping for more to make this app usable:

- Ability to swipe to previous or next pattern in current category or when in complete pattern list
- Ability to use photos already stored instead of having to upload additional photos of the same thing when adding categories or subcategories
- Total number of patterns
- Smart/auto fill - would save so much time if we could reuse what we have previously entered, especially pattern companies, sizing info, notes
- Ability to add categories and subcategories when adding patterns - right now you have to already have the category ready to go before adding a pattern.
- Ability to reframe images when taken in-app (it wastes so much time to take photos of everything first, then try to match them up with the patterns when entering them.)
- Ability to re-order photos or at least select which one should be the avatar (only way now is to delete and upload in a certain order)
- Move or make space so that the “Done” link isn’t so close to the categories when selecting - I keep ending up with incorrect categories on patterns because I accidentally hit a category when trying to select Done.
- Allow rotation of photos to landscape - right now when I need to see the back of the pattern I turn my phone sideways to see it fill the screen only to have it rotate again, negating the purpose of taking the photo landscape in the first place.
- Ability to add patterns to categories - right now you have to edit each pattern and select categories - I would like to be able to select patterns to add to a category when I create it.
- Main category should automatically be added when adding a subcategory to a pattern - right now you have to also select the main category or it won’t show up until you go to the subcategory.
- Can we have it be called “Pattern Company” instead of “Model”? and maybe have the number separate from that? This would mean I would have to fix all my entries, but it would make more sense. Then you could also sort by pattern maker.

I think some of these should be simple to fix; hopefully they all can happen soon! It takes me so long to enter my pattern collection that I can only do a bit at a time, and it puts me off wanting to do it and makes it difficult to find the time. I would love to have all my patterns organized in one place so I stop buying the same ones but also so I know how much fabric I need for projects when I come across some I like!

Thanks!

EDIT 10/4/20: After entering 1/4 of my patterns, I am taking a break. I decided to look through my patterns and decide what to make next... I discovered something that is giving me a panic attack. The filter does not work, and the search does not include categories or notes. What I mean is that when I try to find my patterns in the 1940s: Dresses and Pinafores subcategory I have, if i search for “pinafore” nothing comes up, and if I use the filter to only show that subcategory, many patterns show up which are not in that category. Also when I have the word “pinafore” in the Notes field, searching does not bring them up. So far I can only bring up pattern “Models” when I use the search. I am not ever going to remember pattern names and numbers for all my patterns so the search should be searching all fields. So basically the categories and text fields are not searchable, nor can you filter... kind of makes them useless except for organization. I wanted to find all my pinafore patterns, and instead I got play suits and children’s, etc. I think I will hold off on entering any more patterns.

Side note: I had to upgrade my iCloud storage when entering patterns due to the photos taking up so much room. Beware.

### 4/5 — Suggested feature (or improvement)

*2026-03-02*

I have really enjoyed using this app. I use it when I’m shopping to avoid duplicate purchases or reference fabric type/amount.

A problem I’m having is once I put in the information including pattern pictures I can’t at a later date update the information to include a picture of the fabric used. I will input the update but the new picture doesn’t show. I have tried on numerous occasions without success. Otherwise I really like this app. Very useful (although limited per above comment)

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. The inability to input later pictures sounds strange. Could you contact me at app_developer@krogholm-it.dk, so I can help you troubleshoot? Best regards, Claus

### 4/5 — Better than I thought?

*2021-10-19, version 1.4.9*

I had some issues initially of the app not saving patterns unless I put in a category, but now it works and I can’t reproduce the issue. It seems to be a good app- I’ll write a more thorough review when I’ve had more experience with it!

### 5/5 — Perfect File System

*2026-03-12*

I can’t thank you enough again for this app. I create folders called ideas, knit blouses, children’s, etc. I put sub categories below those. For my idea folder I put pictures of things I see that I want to make. I love how the app is so flexible and what it allows you to do. I tell all my friends about this app.

I do have a question. If I load a picture from my phone into the app, can I delete the photo from my phone and will it still be in the app? This would be a great way to free up space on my phone! Also, do you have advice for making the picture smaller so it won’t take up as much room even in the app? THANKS!!

**Developer response:** Sorry for the late reply - but thank you for your support!

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — Has been a joy to use

*2026-02-25*

I have over 2000 sewing patterns and because that is too many to remember I sometimes bought duplicates. Now I am able to easily check before buying and quickly add a new purchase. It even helps with fabric shopping. If I see a fabric I love, I can quickly search for an appropriate pattern and purchase the correct amount of fabric. The only feature I wish was added was the ability to download a csv file of all my patterns as my friends and I share our patterns and can’t always look over each other’s shoulder to check if someone has a pattern we could use.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind review - it is a joy to learn the app is bringing you this value, because that is exactly what it was built for!

I will put your suggestion about CSV export on my list for potential future improvements.

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed to organize!

*2026-01-07*

This is an amazing app for anyone looking to organize their digital pattern stash!! I wish I had found it sooner! It took a minute to get used to the interface and how to set it up, but once you understand what you have to do it’s not hard at all. The ONLY thing that I wish it would do is have the ability to toggle (or scroll or whatever) between multiple photos I’ve entered for a pattern from the main screen… I wish I didn’t have to click on the pattern in order to see the other pics i’ve uploaded but instead just swipe through pattern pics on that category’s icon… but that’s a tiny tiny “issue” and i’m no way makes me love this app less! Worth it!!

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for your review - I am glad you like the app! Best regards, Claus

### 5/5 — Fantastic organization for sewing patterns

*2026-01-02*

I’ve been using this app for 3 years and love it. All my pattern info is accessible for when I’m shopping, planning and sewing. I love it.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review - I am glad you like the app!

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — Great for tracking pattern stash

*2025-04-10*

This app is great for keeping track of my sewing patterns. I take a photo of the front and back and record the number and brand name. I can create my own categories and search by number, size, brand, or whatever I’ve recorded on each pattern page. Recommended.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind review - I am glad you like the app!

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — The best

*2025-02-24, version 1.4.18*

I’ve been using this app now for over 3 years and I love it have all my patterns instantly available, well organized, and an extremely easy app to use and set up.

### 5/5 — Update: 12/10/24: Good App; Could Use New Features ( GotThem)

*2024-12-10, version 1.4.16*

This application does what it is supposed to do; however, it would become a great application (for me), if it would implement new features to minimize the input time (especially when you are inputting OVER 1,000 patterns). One feature that would assist in minimizing the input time is to add a drag and drop feature. When you add a new pattern, it’s pictures and sometimes its chosen fabric, you have to search through your album folder, select one photo at a time, add that photo; and then you will have to repeat the process until you add ALL the photos you would like to add to that ONE pattern. It would be great to just open your photo app and this app, drag and drop your pictures into this app, and continue with filling in the “blanks.” It would even be great to have the ability to search your photo album using the search button and selecting more than one pattern at one time; then, you can continue filling in the blanks. The final feature that would make this pattern application wonderful/perfect is to have a fabric section independent from the pattern section. Many sewers purchase many pieces of fabrics, and it would be wonderful/great to catalogue those pieces of fabric into this application. Moreover, it would be great/terrific to have the ability to search the fabric and identify which pattern (if applicable) that fabric was chosen. With these two changes, although I know they are not minor-and we may probably never have these features added-it would make this pattern application perfect; just as long as it isn’t removed from the application store. Thanks for creating a good product. On today, December 10, 2024, I opened my tablet, performed my monthly updates, and saw that this application has fulfilled one of my “possibly impossible” suggestions: SELECTING MORE THAN ONE PICTURE AT A TIME!! AND you can search your photo album within this application as though you are actually in the photo app. I spit my tea out while trying to scream, performed my update, and I will commence to complete the tedious task of adding the remaining patterns including the new ones that were purchased using this MAGNIFICENT update; now, Mr. Pedersen, I’m patiently waiting on the independent fabric tab. (LOL). THANK YOU for this update!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS PATTERN APP EVEN MORE!!!!!!!!!!!

### 5/5 — Absolutely love this app

*2024-11-11*

I use this app for pattern organization and as an avid sewist I couldn’t sew now without this app! . I take notes of all my pattern adjustments and amounts of fabric I use it keeps me and my many patterns organized. Very handy to have on my phone when I’m shopping. Absolutely recommend it!

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review - I am glad you like the app!

Best regards,
Claus

### 5/5 — I love using this app

*2024-09-08*

I love using this app, but it is time consuming. I wish you could just scan the barcode and everything is inputted for you. I know that perfect world doesn’t exist yet. I’m so grateful that finally I have somewhere to store all of my patterns and I can take it them with me. I wish there was a place I could log the patterns I would like to purchase in the future, but for now I’ll just continue to store them in my notes. I highly recommend this app.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2024-07-12, version 1.4.12*

This app has been such a valuable asset for reviewing my pattern collection. I’d be lost without it. Easy to use with many features.
So many thanks.
