So I trust their reputation and figured I’d give it a try. And honestly have to say that it has to be one of the best AI apps for Korean specifically since obviously that’s all it’s for, but the best AI speaking app that there is. Jump speak was cool but it just was too AI if you know what I mean in that it would be more generic its responses, but with this app, the amount of memory it holds, remembering your past conversations sounding like a real person and having different emotions to be able to speak and practice with is honestly so amazing. I would highly highly highly recommend TTMIK Seyo app for the AI call feature alone just because when you don’t have a lot of other people to speak Korean to like me since now I’m back in America after being in Korea, it’s very valuable to be able to have something reliable enough to speak to. Again it’s not perfect perfect, AI just can’t be that perfect but ultimately if you have good enough pronunciation, it will be able to pick up what you can say. I think that is the only downside to AI apps is that if your pronunciation isn’t good it doesn’t hear you correctly and ends up throwing something in there that you didn’t quite say and so in that way, it can be a little frustrating but to be honest with you it’s something I’m willing to work past. Simply highly recommend especially if you don’t have anybody else to speak. Korean with 10 minutes a day goes a long ways!!! ### 5/5 — Best app for learning Korean *2026-08-02* As a Korean language teacher, author, and native Korean speaker, I've tried many Korean-learning resources over the years. Seyo genuinely stands out. I especially appreciate that it brings together grammar practice, pronunciation training, and open-ended conversation in a single app. The characters’ voices are remarkably natural. They don't sound robotic or like typical TTS voices. The conversations feel surprisingly close to talking with a real Korean speaker, which makes the practice much more immersive. Another feature I really like is the ability to hide or reveal the English translations of the example sentences. It's a thoughtful design choice that encourages learners to think in Korean first and check their understanding only when needed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended! ### 3/5 — Still buggy *2026-07-29* This app has a great concept and design, but it simply doesn’t have the ai intuition to pick up what speakers are saying. I spend most of the time yelling at the app and repeating myself over and over because the buttons don’t record on the first press or it autocorrects to nonsense. It becomes so frustrating to use, I always give up. The tools and lessons are useful but a bit short sighted, lacking application for the grammar points. I think with more development it could be a highly recommended app. ### 2/5 — Trouble picking up speech *2026-07-16* I really want to love this app. The interface is smooth, the lessons are helpful. But the biggest problem for me is that it only picks up half of what I say. I wait until it’s listening, then speak, and it will catch only the last word of my sentence, no matter how slow or fast I talk, or how close or far from the mic I am. I’ve tried from different devices multiple times, and it just doesn’t perform well enough to be useable. I wish it were different, because this app concept and the leveling of the lessons would be a wonderful addition to my learning. ### 3/5 — Always having to pay *2026-06-04* It is like this with other apps too, but at least with Duolingo you don’t have to pay for a monthly trial. They just give you the option, but with Seyo you have to pay for trial before you can do any other lessons I can’t even get to the next lesson because they want me to pay and I hate this if they can at least make you not have to pay. I will download this app again, but overall this app is pretty good. I just don’t like how you have to pay because there’s no way I’m paying that much money just to speak Korean when I can go and get Korean lessons myself… ### 5/5 — Great But Voice Recognition Could Improve *2026-05-27* This is by far the best app to help in my studying so far, thus why I’m giving five stars. As someone who is terrified to speak with a native speaker until I have more confidence this has been a great outlet to build my confidence. My ONLY complaint is that Seyo will clearly hear me because the AI transcribes my words and yet will give me a low grade. I can usually expect this because Seyo always takes longer to register that I’ve finished speaking in these instances. It’s fine because you still have the option to listen and compare your pronounciation to the example which reaffirms that my pronounciation was close, Seyo just could not catch it. ### 5/5 — Love it! *2026-04-25, version 1.1.3* This is exactly what I need for enhancing my Korean speaking skills. I love that it corrects and rates my pronunciation. I know so many words and grammar but my speaking and pronunciation skills are terrible. This app is just perfect for me so I can go back to South Korea and speak to locals with confidence. I’m so glad they have so many units and levels. Thanks! ### 4/5 — needs some technical work *2026-04-20, version 1.1.3* Conceptually this app is perfect, but in many areas the AI models used are not sophisticated enough. The AI conversations are nonsense or worse; one asked to borrow my phone, and when I asked why, it threatened to borrow my wallet. Pronunciation feedback doesn’t exist.
