## Newest reviews (13 of 80)

### 3/5 — Not so easy to use

*2026-08-02*

Please just copy whatever Solve SF has

### 2/5 — Clunky and hard to use

*2026-07-28*

Categories are too limited and difficult to navigate. Only usable for most common problems, but slow and clunky for users.

### 4/5 — Great idea but need more employees to make service faster

*2026-07-07*

So far I’ve had a positive experience with getting responses for the problems I have reported on the app however sometimes there is a response in a few hours and other times it can take days. There needs to be more city employees to respond to the high demand. Also I notice there is a much faster response in rich neighborhoods versus poorer ones. That’s not right since every resident deserves fair and equal access to city resources

### 2/5 — Defined categories do not match situation

*2025-02-18*

I use this app frequently and the frustration is that the defined categories from which one is required to choose often do not fit the problem. Choosing something “close” can often result in dispatch of someone unable to address the problem.

### 3/5 — City deletes your submissions

*2025-01-28*

The app is ok. Some of my submissions are addressed. Some stay open for days. However, yesterday I submitted three tickets on my walk, all significant. All showed in the app as open. Then this morning, two are mysteriously gone from the app. Not closed… gone like they never existed.

### 2/5 — Only could do 5 posts, cannot do more than 5 posts

*2024-05-23*

I submitted 6th post twice, but the post disappeared at second morning. Please fix the problem.

### 2/5 — New app is a step back

*2023-08-13*

Loses about 1/3 reports I submit. Location manager wirse

### 2/5 — New phone = new account?

*2023-08-07*

I got a new phone, and none of my old reports open up. And there is no way to log into the account on the old phone. It is like every time you get a new phone you have to get a new account?

### 3/5 — Does the job, could be more efficient

*2023-07-01*

Workflow and UI can be streamlined but it does the job. My main use case is asking for local full garbage cans to get emptied. Good to see a new version, but pls do a bit of user testing and you’ll observe users (like me) feeling frustrated about entering the same info several times. Also would be good to have a history cos it’s the same ol’ garbage can most of the time :)

### 2/5 — Privacy issue

*2023-06-24*

This app read and track your iPhone’s unique device identifier (Device ID)

### 1/5 — Useless app as much as city authorities

*2022-09-07, version 3.20.13*

They don’t respond on requests and it’s seems nobody cares about what’s going on

### 1/5 — Don’t Bother

*2021-10-23, version 3.20.13*

App worked fairly well until about 3 months ago. Now requests are submitted and no action is taken on them - not just a long latency period - NOTHING is done.

The Location services “feature” in the app is extremely buggy and the developers do not care. They say it works. It does not work properly.

My advice is not to bother with this App - no need to have it taking up space on your mobile device since it is USELESS.

### 3/5 — Does the job

*2021-09-22, version 3.20.13*

Would be nice to have the ability to update or cancel a request through the app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Actual garbage

*2025-12-07*

They close every case you open in under five minutes of submitting and do nothing to clean the streets of SF. It’s wild how useless it is and how this city just does not care

### 1/5 — Just like 311…

*2025-09-12, version 6.4.15*

Doesn’t work. Nothing happens. No one pays for Muni. The city doesn’t care, then comes crying to us for more money. GFY

### 1/5 — Pointless.

*2025-09-09*

I reported a Porsche that blocked the entire sidewalk for weeks, after I had been calling the SFMTA for days. My friend, who is mobility impaired, could not pass the property. Yet neither SFMTA nor this 312 app ever showed up.

I bet they’d have been there right away had it been an unhoused person’s tent, but they don’t bother a rich person’s Porsche. SF’s city government is awful.

### 1/5 — error code401

*2025-02-06*

Keep refresh it doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — Too bad

*2024-08-26*

This app has become an exercise in futility. Deleted after several years.

### 1/5 — HORRIBLE APP

*2024-07-09*

NEVER WORKS AND CRASHES 24/7!!!!

### 1/5 — Dont provide contact info

*2024-06-01*

Once a user provides contact into and submits requests. Requests never get opened and stay as submitted. Also there is no way to report anonymously because after after signing out because uninstalling when you hit get started the app automatically signs a user back in.

### 1/5 — Why bother, the city does nothing

*2023-07-03*

Lately, none of the items submitted are even initially addressed until 3 or more days after the complaint. What’s the point? Who on earth manages the requests? Homeless person shooting up, blocking a fire exit, blocking the entire sidewalk with their junk…. City responds 3 DAYS LATER!!!!! Junk truck parked in front of my home with all its crap for 3 days and doesn’t move….. city has yet to respond 3 days later…. And it has yet to move!!!!! what a joke, this app is nothing more than a waste of storage on my phone with the way in which this city pretends to respond.

### 1/5 — The Update Is Not Good

*2023-04-30, version 6.4.5*

It has all my reports is some crazy order, such as 3 years old are showing up. And for recent reports, only the closed ones are displayed. As of yesterday I had some open reports, and they aren’t listed. Since the departments say they close a report when they take no action, it is important to see open and closed reports, with the newest one listed first

### 1/5 — Broken with iOS 16

*2022-09-19, version 3.20.13*

Ok, not great, when it worked.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Possibly the most useful lightweight app I have at just 25 megabytes! One request…

*2025-11-22*

One request: The ability for a user to close an issue they reported in the SF311 app (currently we have to call to have an issue closed).

Thanks for keeping this app feather-light at just ~25 megabytes. Other apps weigh in at hundreds of megabytes for no good reason. The SF311 app stands above the rest and saves bandwidth.

Keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — Best way to feel helpful

*2024-08-26*

The city has a lot of cleanup after the pandemic. This is the best way to be a productive citizen and report things should be addressed. It’s easy to use and has made my walks around town somehow more productive and less hopeless.

### 5/5 — Resident of SF? Get this app.

*2024-03-12*

Takes seconds to report graffiti or trash in street. Frustrating that DPW and others don’t actually close all requests but at least it’s sending data where the problem areas are.

### 5/5 — Live in SF? Get this app.

*2023-11-25*

Easy to report graffiti and street cleanups.

Wish it would log/process everything (I.e noise complaints) rather than just referring to another service

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2022-10-28, version 3.20.13*

This app works! I use it regularly to report all kinds of dumping in my beautiful, but dirty, SF.

Sometimes I’ll post 4, 5 or more cases on a morning dig walk. I use it for big and small dumping, human waste, and needles. I’ve found my cases are closed anywhere between few to 48 hours.

Not only does it make streets cleaner, It allows me to take action instead blaming others.

It helps promote a culture of clean.

### 5/5 — Great app, a must for SF citizens

*2022-07-30, version 3.20.13*

It’s the fastest way to submit requests for sidewalk cleaning and graffiti. It creates great data for the city to see where issues are concentrated.

My only wish is that the submitter should be able to edit submissions, sometimes address it off or an issue is resolved… simple change that would save DPW from coming out.

### 5/5 — Great app for contributing to your community

*2020-11-01*

San Francisco’s city and county government tracks the time it takes to respond to 311 requests and they are often the only way the city knows that something is wrong. I have been pleasantly surprised a number of times when I have reported overflowing city trash cans and they have been quickly cleaned up. The whole 311 process could use some user experience cleanup as it is often confusing to figure out which category of issue to file. But at least the city is tracking it and the data is public so others can hold the city accountable for providing appropriate services. I would even go so far as to say that using this app (or calling 311) is a great way to contribute to your community.

### 5/5 — Cleaned out the homeless

*2017-06-29, version 3.17.5*

Wrote a note about the homelesw crowding up potrero and 16th. The geolocation and camera work easily. The tents were all cleaned out by Thursday morning. I will continue to use this app now!

### 5/5 — Great app. once the app. is fixed!

*2015-12-26, version 3.13.6*

Great app. I would recommend it. This app. helps keeps SF cleaner!
