However I find the 55/minute chant count limiting and it would be great to be able to change target goal dates instead of having to start a new one. Goals sometimes take longer than expected. I mainly use the “chant” function on the timer setting whenever I’m chanting by myself. I guess I'll see if a negative review gets a response... It's a nuisance when the Daimoku loop stops and starts again--throws off the rhythm, esp. when chanting in a group. Please take a moment and fix this. Thx ### 3/5 — Landscape Mode Please *2025-03-31, version 3.9.14* It would be so helpful if the app would go into landscape mode on my iPad. ### 4/5 — So helpful for my practice! *2025-03-27* I have been an SGI-USA member for over 17 years and only recently did I realize the group daimoku audio was game-changing for my practice! But please please change the audio so it just loops seamlessly. The audio fades out and restarts at a slightly different pace after about 3 minutes. It would help so much if the audio lasted longer and looped smoother. Also, please add more options to the speed variation setting in the Liturgy similar to being able to change daimoku speeds. The ability to rewind gongyo audio would also be helpful when teaching new members or as a way for new members to practice on their own when working on difficult sections of pronunciation. Also, there does not seem to be a way to add daimoku manually to an active campaign, making it difficult to contribute time towards a goal when chanting at a meeting, etc. ### 3/5 — Won’tvrefresh *2025-01-29, version 3.9.14* The app will not refresh the quotes for 2030 on my iPhone, whether I use as guest or login to the portal. It’s seems very random when it finally shows the current quote then won’t refresh for days some times a week or two. Annoying to sat the least ### 3/5 — Daimoku timers *2024-10-22, version 3.9.13* The problem is that the timer, as well as the stopwatch function, cancel out after a minute or so if you pause them. if I get called away from the altar and it’s more than a minute, the timer is canceled out. it would be more encouraging if I could set the timer for the day and it would not reset when I stop it, unless I reset it. it would be more holistic. ### 4/5 — Making Great Greater *2024-09-01* The App is great for it provides 2 sets of Daily Encouragement which can taken anywhere with you - I enjoy reading the quotations and sharing them with guests and members who, like me, need a daily perk in Faith in Sensei's own words. Add to this there are translations available on a click. This is awesome... I was able to share the Spanish translations of Sensei's words with more than one guest . However, there is room for improvement at the translation : When I trid to get a French translation it sent me Dutch - When I clicked on Portuguese, it sent me Romanian - I could not tell the difference.... To make this great App even greaert, we need to upgrade the translation service ... ### 4/5 — Date *2024-09-01, version 3.9.13* App is very good but lately the date is not current for the readings. Shows the reading for the prior date rather than the current. Example, see reading for August 31st when it should be September 1st. They promote digital ID's , lack of bodily autonomy, Gov't and UN agendas, and corporations. They taut stories of freedom, democracy, personal growth on the most shallow level. It is heartbreaking to see people blindly promoting their own demise. Yes, chanting is self reflection which is great but it is easy to manipulate people when they see you support them just a little bit. I was a member for 30 years and see it now since the pandemic. They go along with every govt regulation and govt led media story. There is no critical view whatsoever. I am heartbroken that they have lost the Buddha path and are now sheep herders. I am on my own finding my Buddah path which is what Buddism is anyway. Its not about doing what others say. Its about finding truth, understanding the world and its corruption and learning. As a 75yyoung new member and not savvy Internet user, yesterday 3/30/24 a WD member has to spend at least one hour of her time to show me how to use the app and I owe her a great debt of gratitude. Many Treasures or Seniors new members like me can be high maintenance and many grateful thanks for the members who are including us in their practice 😍✨🪷✨🕊️☮️✌🏼✨🙏🏼💝✨ ### 3/5 — Daimoku Campaign Erased *2024-02-27, version 3.9.13* The app is a great tool, but my active daimoku campaign for 2024 was recently erased when I updated the app. It was very disappointing. ### 4/5 — SGI-USA App *2024-01-29, version 3.9.13* It’s a good app. The Gongyo part has room for improvement. Here are my suggestions for page numbers and navigating without going to the beginning of Gongyo. ### 4/5 — Please Stop Logging Me Out *2024-01-08* It keeps logging me out especially when a timer goes off on my phone or I logged into Zoom or Clubhouse and sometimes I’m doing those things to chant remotely with others. It also just stops the timer when above activities occur so it’s a little frustrating. The app is amazing though, I appreciate it. But this little glitch keeps getting in the way of my daimoku counter so I lose track of my progress. Other than that, super amazing. Except maybe the fact that I had to take a live ID picture for my SGI USA account and I was not prepared so I look ultra dork but who’s looking. ### 3/5 — Timer Issue *2023-11-11* The overall app is great but the tracker needs to be addressed. I love using the timer/stopwatch feature to keep track of how much or how long I am chanting for. My frustration is when my phone turns off or goes to sleep after a while and the app refreshes and I lose my progress. It would be nice to start the timer or stopwatch and just have it keep going regardless of the status of my phone. I mean I get the battery dying and completely shutting down but when it’s still on? I will dedicate five or ten minutes of focused prayer while my screen shuts off to save battery only for me to check where I am at and the app has refreshed. What? Am I doing something wrong maybe? If I really want to start my time over I can hit the reset button. It’s so frustrating and also distracting while I chant. Please please please address this.
