Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. I interacted with multiple profiles that appeared verified, but when I politely asked for basic verification such as a LinkedIn profile, a professional profile, or a video call before moving forward, I was blocked instead of receiving a simple response. This made me lose confidence in the platform's verification process. A verified badge should help users feel safer, but there should also be stronger checks and better action against suspicious behavior. I have submitted my government-issued ID multiple times. Each time my profile gets approved, it is later deactivated again without explanation, forcing me to go through the verification process repeatedly. What makes the experience even more frustrating is that reactivation can take up to 48 hours each time. I have contacted customer support multiple times via email, but the issue remains unresolved. For a service that charges a significant membership fee, the customer support options are inadequate. There is no live chat support, and the only phone number provided appears to be based in India, making it difficult for many users to get timely assistance. At a minimum, Shaadi.com should provide a toll-free support number and live chat support for paying members. Random People can easily create fake profiles on shadi.com. No selfie & real documents required to create profiles. That’s why fake people make fake profiles and do scam. The real person behind the profile is someone else. I got 0 support from shadi.com. I didn’t pay for VIP and someone claiming to be from shaadi.com went out of their way to screenshot my profile, message me on WhatsApp and even called me. From that moment, I felt unsafe on this app, let alone having my photos on there. Enhance your filters and actually make the website and services accessible to people who may not be able to afford them. I was called by one of them, and told that the VIP consultant will call you at your preferred time and check with your matches and interests, but my consultant never tried to contact me on my given time since I was in a different time zone except few calls where he wanted to say that I am working on it on 2 of the interests which he never followed up until the expiration of my membership. This is just a part of my journey with their VIP service, the whole thing is deeply disappointing. Beaware people, don’t waste your money in this, I am happy for those who got their matches but there are lots of biases involved and no transparency. I will say do whatever you have to, go on dates, involve friends and family and find the real match. You won’t be satisfied by this algorythm and stranger person talking and approving on your behalf. I never registered with these businesses. How personal information was shared, sold, disclosed, or transferred to any affiliate, agency, lead provider, marketing partner, or third party. I paid around $250 CAD for their Diamond Plus Membership because they heavily advertise a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. The promotion makes it sound like if you don’t find a suitable match, you’ll get your money back. However, after purchasing the membership, I discovered that there are numerous hidden conditions that are not made sufficiently clear before payment. When I requested a refund because I wasn’t satisfied with the service, my request was denied based on requirements that were only pointed out afterward, such as sending a minimum number of interests, waiting 30 days, and meeting several other eligibility criteria. This felt very misleading. In my personal experience, I also found that many of the profiles I interacted with appeared inactive or not genuine. I received very few meaningful responses despite actively using the platform. I expected a premium matchmaking service, but instead I felt I was paying for access to profiles that did not lead to real conversations. I feel like I lost $250 CAD on a service that did not deliver what I expected. The money-back guarantee attracted me to purchase the membership, but when I actually needed it, it came with so many restrictions that it became practically useless for my situation. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering a paid membership read every term and condition carefully before paying, especially the refund policy.
