## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.7 — 2026-08-24

Reminders and the widget no longer depend on opening the app.

• The widget and watch complication now carry several weeks of times, so they stay correct on their own.
• The app refreshes in the background, so upcoming reminders stay scheduled.
• Candle-lighting and Havdalah reminders are now time sensitive, so a Focus no longer silences them.
• Send a test reminder now tells you why a reminder would arrive silently, and where to fix it.
• Fixed: the app could ask for location permission you had already granted.
• The app is now called Shabbat Times.

### 3.6 — 2026-08-16

Fixed: the end-of-Shabbat reminder could go missing if you opened the app during Shabbat. It now stays in place.

Improved: the reminder chime is louder and cuts through better on the phone speaker. Sounds you record yourself are now saved at a consistent volume, so a quiet recording no longer means a quiet reminder.

### 3.5 — 2026-08-15

Fixed: the candle-lighting chime now plays on every reminder, including the morning heads-up, which was using the default iOS sound instead. If you've recorded your own reminder sound, it now plays on all of them too.

New: "Send a test reminder" in Settings lets you check your reminder sound right away, instead of waiting until Friday to find out.

### 3.4 — 2026-08-11

Support the app — iShabbat stays free, and now you can support its development. As a thank-you, supporting removes all ads for good. Plus small fixes and polish.

### 3.3 — 2026-08-09

• A new swipe navigation — glide between Blessings, Home, and Settings, with a bottom bar that shows where you are.
• The end-of-Shabbat (Havdalah) reminder is now on by default, so you never miss Shavua Tov.
• Once Shabbat begins, the countdown rests at “Shabbat Shalom” instead of counting on.
• Turning reminders off now quiets everything — notifications and the Lock Screen countdown.
• Cleaner and more reliable throughout.
