After putting your phone on airplane mode, plug the phone in the charger. Then, go to this app and set time, day and volume then TAP THE LOWER BUTTON and leave your phone open with the clock display on. The missing star is because there is no choice of ring tone, just the basic annoying one (but then again adjust to a lower volume). ### 2/5 — Needs Improvement *2017-12-29* I appreciate the Rusty Brick Siddur a lot but this app is not on the same level. First, there is no choice of sounds. If the phone is not plugged in then all you get is one beep at the designated time instead of the length selected. It makes no sense that the phone needs to be plugged in for the app to work fully. Oneg shabbes restored *2014-06-15* I m thrilled by the manner and speed with which Rusty Brick dealt with complaints that appeared after previous update. Now once again Shabbes Clock is one of my most favorite apps and a trusted shabbes companion. Thank you for making once again an excellent app - simple and useful. It does not work *2022-09-25* Does not work ### 1/5 — Programs not functioning properly. *2022-06-12* this program is not working properly there is times when I delete some alarm time that I set up before The alarm works anyway showing me the old set up and when I’m looking on the main screen of the program it’s not there it’s been delete. I don’t know if I’m using it wrong or something, but it’s not very reliable to use as an alarm. Alert did not sound when needed. Several test alerts also failed. Why did you make it so complicated? There’s another app that allows you to set shabbos alarms with a much more intuitive method. And that one is free. I appreciate the effort, but I don’t appreciate being charged $1 for an app that could literally ruin my screen if I use it in the way it’s intended to be used. ### 1/5 — Wish I could give this ZERO stars *2018-12-12* The phone must be plugged in for this to work. This wears down the battery. There is no way to choose the melody or make any other adjustments. I can’t believe they have the nerve to charge $1 for one of the worst apps ever invented. Either they’re fully incompetent or they’re cheating on their scales <_< ### 1/5 — Garbage and theft *2018-09-23* The app is worthless and the people who charged for it are dirty thieves. Here is the issue: if the alarm is not plugged in, all that happens is that it beeps softly once, and the screen lights up with a notification. For the alarm to work, the phone must be plugged in. Leaving an iPhone plugged in overnight will wear the battery down and reduce the life of the phone. Google this if you are not sure. To use the alarm for shabbos, the iPhone has to be plugged in for at least 25 hours, for two days Yom tov 50 hours and three days Yom tov 75 hours straight? Do you want to ruin your iPhone this way? It’s excellent. Yes , the phone must be plugged in but so what? Nothing has ever happened to my I phone because it’s plugged in. Not for a day, two or three days.
