## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Need lot of improvement

*2024-09-25, version 2.16*

Not easy to access. Back button doesn’t take to last page😂

### 1/5 — Not as claimed. Just another lame glossary.

*2023-01-08, version 2.16*

The absence of any good Hindi-English dictionary in app form shows the utter disregard of Indians for their own language and their heading rush to speak only the language of the colonialists.
This one claims to “Provide a comprehensive language reference,” but that is either a blatant lie or the authors don’t understand what one might be. A true dictionary should at the very east mark word function (noun, VI, VT, adj, etc) and a comprehensive one should list synonyms, antonyms, etymolical derivation and related words, and provide usage examples. A comprehensive electronic version should provide internal hyperlinks.
This one does not of the above.
At best, one could call this app a comprehensive glossary. But for someone who wants a true dictionary, a glossary - being a long list of related terma and synonyms - is often more a hindrance than a help.
A dictionary list meanings in order of a words primary and most prominent meanings, through to the most obscure. That way, one is certain of the main meaning of a term from the beginning. With a long glossary list like what appears on shabdakosh, one is just left confused.

The Oxford Hindi dictionary of McGregor is the only one I’ve seen that has the apparatus of a true dictionary. Why they don’t produce an app version I’ll never know, except for the above mentioned fact that so few Hindi speakers seem to really care for their own language.

### 1/5 — Fix this major bug!!!

*2019-10-10, version 1.1.38*

I use this app so much and since updating my iOS there is a huge glitch that makes it unusable. When I click the search bar to type in another word, the page shifts up so the back button is no longer visible. The only way to get out is to close the app and refresh it and open it again. Very frustrating, please fix this.

### 1/5 — Your App is completely messed up !?!?

*2019-02-25, version 1.1.38*

Cannot Browse for english words after the 3rd letter from -e- on virtually ALL of the 2-letter combinations.

NO SEND button on your feedback form AND CANNOT cut & paste from it either - had to email you a screenshot?!?!?

I’ve used your website a lot over the years...but your app really needs some proofreading from a native english person!!!

### 3/5 — Meaning of the word

*2021-09-01*

Give the meaning of the word of the day rather than just an example sentence.

### 3/5 — Helpful but

*2018-04-11, version 1.1.38*

The pronunciations just don't work on my iPhone, even though they play fine from the web site.

### 5/5 — Awsome Hindi dictionary

*2015-03-06, version 1.1.38*

I love this dictionary. it has thousands of terms to look. I found words that were not available in other online dictionaries. I have purchased no advertisement version as well which is more better. I hope they keep it better and running thank you

### 5/5 — So helpful

*2014-10-07*

Although I never recommend using a dictionary to completely learn a language, this one is a very useful supplement that I find myself using quite regularly. The app helps to improve eloquence and explains when to use each word as opposed to another. The daily quote feature is also great for testing yourself on what has already been learned.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2014-07-02, version 1.0.20*
