Date of birth, residence, title etc. Why do you need to add a payment card every time, even on prepaid rates? Just too much hassle. I travel a lot for work and the amount of hotel apps I’ve had to download on my phone was just too much with some of them being unbearable to use. Shackle is a godsend; I can use my phone to check in and as a room key which is one less thing I need to worry about forgetting if I’m ever out and about. With the kind of schedule I keep it’s nice to have this part of travel streamlined. I was able to skip the wait at the front desk & go right to my room, via my mobile key. This is a game changer. No front desk? The key features like the room details and the key are clear and easy to use, and you never feel like you’re being pestered by your phone, which is a common problem I have with digital only services like this. My only suggestion would be to include more precise details as you check-in about where your receipt will go and when payment will be taken. After plenty of times where a late arrival has made the check in a redundant experience (to say the least) I finally have the ability to check-in and get into my room using just my phone. Priceless. On top of that I will now miss (every time I won’t have the Shackle option) ordering room service from my phone. It’s the convenience in the simple things that has the biggest impact. Installed the app, now it says I have Multiple bookings that I didn’t make, one says I am checked in.
