On the previous version you could at least group your shades, so in the morning I would only have to press one button to open the 3 shades in my bedroom. For some reason they removed that function, so it has become much more cumbersome to wait for each shade to connect and go through the steps for each one to open. Can’t figure out why they would have removed that feature, it only makes the product worse. ### 1/5 — Horrible customer experience *2022-11-26, version 1.0.1* App was fine for the longest time. Then they updated the up and then most of the features no long work. You seek support and they don’t even bother replying. Great concept but if the features you was looking for are going to go broke with updates and then you get no response that poor development and poor service. ### 1/5 — Bad *2022-11-13, version 1.0.1* The most recent update took away the smart feature from the app. Tap to run automation no longer available. ### 1/5 — Broken Automations *2022-11-13, version 1.0.1* After the last update which changed the look, the automation buttons are no longer working. ### 1/5 — Too expensive for such poor functionality *2022-10-29, version 1.0.1* The shades are always off line so no automations are possible. These shades are annoying and I spend way too much time messing around with the app to simply open or close the blinds when I should have just gotten manual ones that would have saved me time. I do not recommend anyone get these until major improvement are made. Since the recent update I no longer can hit the automation buttons I set up to be able to close all shades at once. I now need to close them individually which is annoying with so many shades. I also no longer have the ability to creat any type of automations … those options have entirely disappeared. ### 1/5 — Gateway??? *2022-10-07, version 1.0* Like another reviewer said, the schedule feature (e.g. close blinds at 10am) fails with a generic error about a Gateway. What additional hardware/electronic device is needed to utilize scheduled opening and closing of the blinds? All of the FAQ responses in the app are too vague to be helpful. What is a gateway??? ### 1/5 — No Smart features?? *2022-07-16, version 1.0* Bought from Selectblinds.com and they did not include a physical remote. The app is fine, but does not allow scheduling without a gateway? However, there is no information on how to buy a gateway. No info on how to add physical remotes. Really disappointing, as we have several other shades from Selectblinds and these are totally different. ### 1/5 — Poor customer service, smart functions don’t work *2022-06-29, version 1.0* You have to be really close to the blinds and they’re always offline. Bought these for the smart functionality but they’re completely manual. I have to plug in my Bluetooth charger and go to the app to open/close the shades. This happens even when the Bluetooth is fully charged. It seems like the app is not hooked up to the Bluetooth until the charger is plugged in. Once plugged, I can open/close for several times before it stopped working again. ### 1/5 — Automation Gone *2023-07-12, version 1.0.1* I have the same issue as quoted below and it is very frustrating. We paid several grand and this app was tied to the shades. With the update all automation is gone. Now our shades have to be lowered one at a time. You need to fix this with another update. “With recent update, device automation is gone. We have 8 shades and have to operate them one at a time. It is incredibly annoying.” ### 1/5 — Automation Gone *2023-04-22* I have the same issue as quoted below and it is very frustrating. We paid several grand and this app was tied to the shades. It is incredibly annoying.” ### 1/5 — FRUSTRATING *2023-01-01, version 1.0.1* I will adjust my review when they update the app. Recently, they removed the tap to run feature, as well as the scheduled open and close feature. Now, you have to go to each individual shade to operate it. Most frustrating thing ever! Also, they literally will not talk to anyone on the phone in terms of customer service. You have to message them. An absolute disgrace. ### 1/5 — App used to be okay. *2023-01-01, version 1.0.1* App was fine until a recent update that takes away the ability to run the shades together. We really like it so far! The only issue is if my husband uses it and doesn’t force close it in his phone, the shades say “offline” on my phone and won’t let me adjust them. Even if he isn’t even on his phone but just has his app running in the background. I wish it would work for anyone who is connected to the shades. ### 2/5 — Automation not working *2023-02-12, version 1.0.1* As others have reported the option to group shades no longer available. Can the developer kindly respond if and when this can be restored ? I will not order additional shades if this is not returning ### 2/5 — Automation Removed From App *2022-12-16, version 1.0.1* With one of the most recent updates, the automation features have stopped functioning and disappeared. You can no longer bundle shades together in rooms and operate them as a group. It is a tad annoying that I need to select each individual blind to open or close. Also, timed automation is completely gone.
