## What is Shadewell?

Shadewell helps you find the closest foundation and concealer shade matches
across brands — without guessing, and without giving up your data.

TRANSLATE ANY SHADE
Already know a shade you love? Pick it, choose a target brand, and see
ranked, closest-match candidates in that brand's lineup, complete with a
quality indicator (excellent / good / approximate) so you always know how
close a match really is. Works instantly, with zero setup and zero
permissions required.

CALIBRATED SKIN-TONE SCAN
Prefer to scan instead? Shadewell's screen-flash capture briefly uses your
screen as a calibrated light source and your front camera to estimate your
skin tone entirely on your device — then shows the closest matches across
every brand in the catalog. A "use a photo instead" option is also available
if you'd rather not use the camera.

YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Every photo and camera frame is analyzed on-device. Nothing is uploaded.
Shadewell has no analytics, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs. You can
delete everything Shadewell has ever stored, at any time, from Settings.

SAVE YOUR FAVORITES
Save shades you like for quick reference later, and buy from your favorite
retailer with one tap — Sephora, Ulta, and brand-direct links are all
supported.

HONEST RESULTS, ALWAYS
Shadewell shows every match with its confidence/quality band and never
claims to have found "your exact shade" — only the closest match available
given the data. Shadewell makes no health, skin-condition, or dermatology
claims of any kind.

The catalog covers 15 brands and 1,200+ shades across 35+ foundation lines,
including Fenty Beauty, MAC Cosmetics, NARS, Rare Beauty, e.l.f. Cosmetics,
Maybelline and L'Oreal Paris.

TRY IT FREE FOR 7 DAYS
Shadewell is a subscription app, and new subscribers get the first 7 days
free. The trial is the whole app: unlimited calibrated scans, every match
worth showing, and an unlimited shelf of saved shades. Cancel any time before
the trial ends and you are not charged.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and are managed through
your Apple ID in Settings. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at the end of
the free trial. The free trial is available once per Apple ID; if you have
subscribed to Shadewell before, your subscription starts immediately.

Discontinued shades are now marked rather than quietly dropped. A shade you already wear stays findable, and you can still translate it into the brands that stock it.

Onboarding is rebuilt. You can now see what Shadewell does before you scan anything, and step back through it if you want another look.
