To that end, how about it? What do you say developers? Old review: Shadow Weather is a genuinely great weather app. The information and data are presented in an easily assessable and thorough manner. Multiple weather data sources are selectable so the accuracy for one’s particular region is taken into account. The price for premium features is more than reasonable. Widgets are only available for the Android version, however. The developer does explain the reason for not including widgets for the Apple iOS version. He presents a good argument for the decision. This can be found under Help in the app settings. I have no hesitation in recommending Shadow Weather. ### 5/5 — Solid. Clean. *2022-11-30, version 1.14.1* This is my favorite weather app by far. I like that it pulls data from multiple sources. It displays the information, efficiently and cleanly. You can zoom in and get more data. The radar view is particularly customizable. Doesn’t show future wind chill. ### 2/5 — Great app, nonexistent support. *2026-08-17, version 3.6.0* I’ve used Shadow Weather for quite a while and, until recently, have been very happy with it. It’s a good weather app and my paid Premium subscription worked well for a long time. One day about two weeks ago the app simply stopped recognizing my active subscription. Apple still shows the $1.99/month subscription as active, but Shadow Weather treats me as a free user. I’ve tried restoring purchases, restarting my phone, completely uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and even installing it on another Apple device. Nothing has restored Premium access. The bigger disappointment has been the support. I emailed the developer with a detailed description of the issue and troubleshooting I’d already completed, then followed up again after receiving no response. Several days later, I still haven’t heard anything. I’ve now requested a refund through Apple. I don’t like leaving a negative review because the app itself served me well for a long time, but if you charge for a subscription, there needs to be some avenue for support when a paying customer suddenly loses access to what they’re paying for. I’d happily update this review if the developer responds and gets the subscription issue resolved. ### 2/5 — Premium doesn’t work *2026-08-15, version 3.6.0* Used to be my favorite weather app, hands down. Now premium subscription doesn’t work and hasn’t for several months. Developer does nothing and doesn’t respond to email. It reminds me of the old Dark Sky app which I loved. Shadow Weather is a must on every phone and tablet I use. When I switched to an iPhone from a Pixel, it was my first purchase. The UI is simple, intuitive and informative. Accuracy is great and customization is wonderful. I do wish there was some love for the Apple Watch, a complication or two would be appreciated. Now it's available on iOS. The accuracy is very good with multiple weather Data sources. The real significant feature is the UI and the way it presents lots of information in a very clean and usable format.
