However, the difficulty/ability to gain 3 stars on a given level is WILDLY inconsistent. On some, you only need need to score -1 across 2 holes to gain 3 stars. Yet on others, I score -5 across 4 holes and am only rewarded 2 stars. I’m not asking for freebies, but the consistency in reward is quickly becoming very annoying. It’s becoming far more discouraging than motivating. ### 4/5 — Love the game, small improvement? *2023-03-31* Would it be possible for levels to tell you what will earn a 3-star rating? I scored a -11 with an ace, an albatross, and all birdies on the rest of the holes in world 5 and only earned 2 stars. I really enjoy the game, but like to attempt for three stars on each level. Not sure how a score of 19 when par is 30 doesn’t earn 3 stars on 8 holes… ### 3/5 — Fun game but… *2023-03-02* I found this game to be entertaining. The mechanics of hitting a shot and making a pot are unique and dynamic. However, once you reach a certain level, the intent is for you to fail, unless you continually purchase golf balls. I’m not gonna do that, most people are not gonna do that. What I’d like to see is a less of a carnival game and more of a golf game. Why not make a golf game using your shot hitting and putting mechanics, and instead of selling golf balls, sell courses. Personally, I would be much more likely to buy golf courses. ### 3/5 — Solid game, with glitches *2023-02-19, version 1.3.0* Some holes you can hit a rock and then have it go OB instead of bouncing off of it. If I’m going to split hairs…. *2023-01-16, version 1.2.0* I love this game! I would like to suggest there is an update that tells you exactly what score is necessary to get 3 stars on a given level. I have gotten multiple eagles on levels and been well under par and still only get two stars. If I can see what the target score is for three stars I might chance how aggressive I approach holes in order to achieve three stars! ### 4/5 — Connection Servers *2022-11-28, version 1.1.0* I really enjoy this came. However way too often when I’m loading a course or taking a shot it’ll buffer saying it’s looking for connection. This happens regardless if I’m on my premium wifi, random wifi, on LTE, or on 5G. If this could be fixed it would be a lot more enjoyable. ### 3/5 — Too slow *2022-11-21, version 1.1.0* Cute game, but everything about it takes too much time. The animations in between shots takes too long (and I haven’t figured out how to skip them). The initial download (after the install) took several minutes - much longer than getting the game and installing it. (I suspect it was related to the animation while downloading 274 files…) It’s not my wifi - everything else on my tablet is quite zippy. Anyway, all that wasted time - I lost interest. Deleting the game. ### 4/5 — Glitch in level 4-8 *2022-11-16, version 1.0.1* This is a very enjoyable golf game with lots of content: different worlds, skills, balls and characters, etc. It’s been great fun playing. There is a glitch in level 4-8. When a player gets to the third hole on that level, the game freezes up and gameplay stops completely. The only way to keep playing is to quit out of the game, restart and click the resume play button. It’s not a game breaker, but it is annoying when having to replay the level in order to achieve a successful outcome and gain the wrestler character. ### 3/5 — Fun at first *2022-11-12, version 1.0.1* I was enjoying this game at first. Then I got to the 4th level, played the first hole and went to the second, and it said I needed level 7 golfers to continue. I have 1 and you need 2. Since there is no way to get another level 7 golfer, I guess I’m done. ### 3/5 — Constant freezing *2022-11-06, version 1.0.1* It would be a fun game if it didn't freeze on level 4-8 every single time. I play the first 2 rounds and then it freezes till it finally shuts down. Other than that, the gameplay is pretty fun. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — wut *2023-05-30* The game will FORCE your ball to stop short of the hole. It’s unbelievably scummy. They try to cover up what they’re doing with a slowmo shot of your ball approaching the hole. What’s actually happening is the ball’s path is being reprogrammed in real time to get you a near miss. My jaw dropped when it first happened. The ball just STOPPED right on the edge of the hole. It’s so blatant and clearly just trying to get you to pony up for their premium clubs and balls. I felt good about this game. It’s a shame they quite literally curbed my enthusiasm. ### 1/5 — Was good, now they changed the rules?!?! *2023-04-01* Been playing for awhile. It’s hard to find matches against others in the higher levels. It seems no one plays. I’ll sit there for quite some time and nothing. Also, it seems they have just switched the rules of the golfers since the beginning. I went to play and my golfers abilities were not the same. So what were the rules since the beginning have changed and I didn’t know until I couldn’t use it the same way. ### 1/5 — Baffling *2023-01-30, version 1.2.1* I really wanted to like this game. But, it is too arbitrary, too unpredictable, hard to control your avatar. One could hit the same shot as you replay a hole, & no matter how PERFECT you hit the shot, it does not go where you think it should…it goes where the developers designed it to go. Putting is ludicrous—a 3-yard put is the hardest break you ever saw, a flat line to the hole has invisible hazards and curves which do not appear to human eyes, then you cannot find the patch THE DEVELOPERS insist the shooter MUST take. Also if the END of the putt is an inch beyond the hole, the ball WILL ROLL OVER & STOP ON THE OPPOSITE LIP. For a cartoon—“fun” experience, this is the worst golf simulation out there. The prices for items are so stiff they belong in the MASTER’S pro shop!!! Today it gets deleted for good. **Developer response:** Hey there, we've recently made a number of performance improvements to the game. If you're open to checking them out, we recommend updating to the latest version and giving it a try -- and of course, please let us know if you're still having trouble and we'd be happy to help troubleshoot! ### 1/5 — Pve not working correctly *2022-11-21, version 1.1.0* I have played through all the rookie adventures. I have been able to get new golfers and upgrade them to level 6/7. Now I want to play matches against other players. I was able to find matches at the lowest level. But when I earned all 50 trophies for that level I wanted to move up. I tried getting matches in the Rumble in the Jungle. I was only able to find a match once or twice. And then I was matched up against a Pro ranked 15th on the leaderboard. They had more powerful, higher level golfers and there was no way to beat them. Since then, I cannot even get into a Pve match. You wait and wait and no match is found. Without being able to play against other rookies, the game is not enjoyable at all. If this cannot be fixed soon, I will be deleting this app. I have also sent a message to App Support reporting this issue. I await their response. ### 1/5 — Apple Needs To Pull This Game Off The App Store Immediately!! *2022-11-19, version 1.1.0* First, the adventure area (PVE) it is impossible to play, glitched, unplayable and completely unrewarding, in very possible way. Second, there is literally, no one to play PvP, against, you just stay in the queue for ten minutes until it times out. Third, the offers for limited time, are just once for a few seconds, then gone forever. They do not show up in the shop and are crazy expensive, anyway, in a game that has no one to play against in PvP. Even with money to spend, there is nothing worth buying. I have lost money because my purchases keep being lost by the freezing and glitches that are constant and nonstop. This game is atrocious, boring and basically a scam game, stealing peoples money. It misses the mark in every area, possible.. They also, make the game even worse with the very few updates that they do. Everything is subpar, unethical with no apparent attempts to improve it or the developers without any competence. It was Dead upon arrival and should be pulled for unethical practices, incompetence and it’s the right thing to do to protect customers ### 1/5 — Could use a lot of work *2022-11-13, version 1.0.1* You wait anywhere from 1-30 minutes for a match and don’t even try to connect on a match ranked higher than rookie because it just won’t ever find one and when it finally finds a match you have a 50/50 shot of actually making it into the game more often than not it just doesn’t work and you lose medals because the game is crap…. ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2022-11-10, version 1.0.1* Not worth your time, physics are terrible, graphics are outdated, camera angles are poorly designed, slow pace of play, nonstop pop ups and “purchase X for a limited time!” b.s. …. Gave it a try for a good couple days, uninstalled when I realized there isn’t anything special here… I’ll stick to other golf games. Disappointing. ### 2/5 — It’s fun but….. *2023-02-05, version 1.2.1* Good game. Very fun. But this game has lots of mountains in it. It’s really hard to control the guide around them. By the time you finally get your shot set up, you’re time is close to running out. Very hard to move it around them and sometimes it’s hard to even get control of the guide after you get it caught up in the mountains. You’ll find yourself struggling to even move it. Very frustrating. My advice is, in the next update, lose the mountains. It’s just bogging the game experience down. Or fix the guide to where you don’t lose control of it while moving it around the mountains. And they want way more money for power ups and balls than other games. The pairing system for head to head matches is also REALLY unfair that it just matches whoever and doesn’t take into account club or player levels. Each character has their own set of unique skills. Many of the golf balls have their own unique characteristics. I feel as though I have an arsenal rather than just the usual golf balls. Yes the developers encourage in-app purchases, there’s even a shopping cart icon in the lower right screen. Leveling up is a combination of skill and purchasing golf balls that, like I said before have their own unique abilities or characteristics. ### 5/5 — Great NOT!! *2022-11-11, version 1.0.1* Won’t even load. Tried reinstalling several times. Oh well… EDIT: WOW! Works great now! The developers were very helpful and quick getting me up and rolling on the repaired version.
