## What is Shaped?

Shaped stops you guessing.

Answer six questions — your goal, the equipment you have, the days you can train, your height and weight, how active you are, and how you eat. Shaped hands you the whole plan.

YOUR TRAINING
A real strength program picked from a library of 39 proven routines, matched to your equipment and schedule. Exact sets, exact reps, and a progression rule so you always know the next step. Real progressive overload — not three-pound dumbbells.

BUILT AROUND YOUR CYCLE
Shaped tracks where you are in your cycle and adjusts. A hard session in your luteal phase doesn't get counted as a stall, because it isn't one — that's physiology. The heavy work gets front-loaded into the window where you recover best.

SAFE THROUGH EVERY STAGE
If you're pregnant, postpartum, or trying to conceive, Shaped will not put you in a deficit, whatever goal you picked. It tells you why and gives you what you should be doing instead.

YOUR NUMBERS
Calories and macros calculated from your own body, with floors that protect the fat and calorie intake your hormones actually need.

YOUR FOOD
A day-by-day, meal-by-meal plan with portions in grams. Foods rotate through the week. Vegetarian supported.

ON YOUR WRIST
Apple Watch app — start the session from your wrist, log every set there, and let the haptic rest timer tap you when it's time to lift again. Live heart rate while you train, plus a watch face widget showing today's session at a glance.

READS YOUR RECOVERY
Works with any Apple Health device — watch, band, ring, smart scale. Heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and sleep are judged against your own baseline, never a population average, and today's weigh-in arrives already filled in. When the numbers are off, Shaped says so before your first set — what it saw and which device saw it — and then pulls today's working weights back for you, on your phone and on your watch alike. Your real target is never lost: it stays on screen beside the lighter number, and you are back on it the next session. On an ordinary day it says nothing and changes nothing.

WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL
Your plan is generated on your phone, not on a server.

ASK YOUR COACH
A coach for the follow-ups — a stalled lift, training around an injury, or the week that fell apart.

Shaped covers training, nutrition and recovery. Nothing else.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2026-10-07

Apple Watch improvements:
• If the Watch app closes mid-workout, it picks your session back up.
• Ending a workout now asks whether to save it to Health or discard it.
• Sets you log on the Watch always reach your iPhone, even when the iPhone app was closed.
• The watch-face complication no longer fails to load.
• Clearer set counts and spacing on larger watches.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-10-01

• Your data is now also saved inside the app on your phone — groundwork for offline use.
• Clearer subscription terms under the Subscribe button, and easy-to-find Terms and Privacy links.
• Apple Health: the app now asks only for the data it actually uses.
• Period dates from Apple Health now land on the right day in every time zone.
• Fixes and polish.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-22

Readiness deloads are real now.

When your recovery numbers are down — heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and sleep, each judged against your own baseline — Shaped pulls today's working weights back about 10% and shows you the reduced number, on your phone and on your watch. Your real target stays on screen beside it, so you always know what it was.

What matters is what happens next. A recovery day no longer counts as an ordinary one: hit the lighter weight and Shaped puts you straight back on your original target, instead of progressing up from the smaller number. One rough night can no longer quietly cost you weight you had already earned.

Recovery readiness now shows on your iPhone too, not just your wrist — any band, ring or smart scale that writes to Apple Health. On an ordinary day there is no banner at all.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-21

Apple Watch app — start a session, log sets from your wrist, and let the haptic rest timer tap you when it's time to lift again.

Watch face widget showing today's session at a glance.

Recovery-aware coaching: heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and sleep are read from Apple Health and judged against your own baseline, not a population average. When your numbers say back off, the day's working weights come down — and the app tells you exactly why.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-08-18
