### 2/5 — Almost

*2025-06-16, version 1.1.10*

It is a brilliant idea. Partly works. I can see my photo creation on my iPad and when I click share the whole app collapses and that’s all she wrote… As it is it is of very little use…. What a shame

### 2/5 — Potential

*2025-03-27*

Doesn’t ever let me connect to my computer from
My phone it’s got potential just needs to work things out!!!

### 1/5 — Won’t connect

*2024-10-28, version 1.1.10*

Can’t review a product that won’t connect and can not use.

### 2/5 — Disappointingly limited

*2024-08-18, version 1.1.10*

Appears to only allow sharing 10 images at a time?

I am puzzled who the target audience for this who is dealing with 10 images at a time, especially given the apparently non existent ability to export at full size from Luminar IPad itself!

### 1/5 — Don’t buy this

*2024-06-10, version 1.1.10*

Very bad customer service. They reply rudely to people who contact their customer service

### 1/5 — Lucky if it works

*2024-05-22*

Had this app a few times now and it’s so frustrating since it works every once in a while perfectly and then suddenly just won’t connect again. Delete the app and wait a month and maybe you’ll get lucky. Very unstable and I’ve had to cancel my Luminar subscription before and I’m guessing I’ll do it again because without the app it’s a huge drag to import export for social media.

### 3/5 — Works great but one major flaw

*2024-03-24, version 1.1.9*

Didn’t know this existed, and is a great way to get your edited masterpiece off your computer to phone really quick. But surely the most obvious option in the sharing section would be to share to your iPhone camera roll?? This is missing… unless I’m doing something wrong. I can save to “files on my iPhone” then reshare to my camera roll, but that’s a 2step process. I don’t always want to directly share to social media or email someone. Please add this feature in and it would be 5 stars.

### 1/5 — Unable to connect

*2024-02-16*

Even though my phone is on the same Wi-Fi I cannot seem to get it to connect. It just tells me “unable to connect check to make sure your using the same Wi-Fi” but it is the same, so not sure what’s going on.

**Developer response:** Hey, I'm sorry to hear that! Please submit a contact form to our Support Team via this link: https://skylum.com/support/contact, and they will assist you.

### 1/5 — This Doesn’t work

*2023-12-08*

…and the neo app needs a lot more work to be consistently viable and dependable.

I’ve lost hours of work that didn’t “save” despite following the website manual instructions.

“Customer service” is only via email with a 48 hour turnaround during weekday business hours at best.

Deleting and cancelling.

### 1/5 — I really wanted this to work…

*2023-12-08, version 1.1.9*

This share app is useless.

The software- I love supporting new tech and alternatives to greedy big corporate monopolies and have high hopes for it as an Adobe alternative, but it needs more refinement and dependability to be a cost effective contender.

Its glitchy and unpredictable. There’s only email support during week-day business hours with a 48 hour turnaround stated, so if you’re working on a project and get stuck, there’s no way to get help. The email contact form requires so many details it takes far longer to spell it out and add attachments than to switch back to Photoshop and do it all manually. May save labor cost, but it costs me in wasted time and frustration.

The infrastructure needs refinement- menu needs more detail, options, and guidance, and although the function areas are detailed, they don’t work consistently.

The website “manual” was written as articles about how it’s supposed to work and isn’t necessarily current to updates or accurate to user experience. It’s detailed from the writers point of view, but missing information a user needs to learn the system and function efficiently.

The workspace menus are very minimalist with few choices for uploading, sorting, and very importantly…efficient saving. There are multiple steps to follow and significant lag times when you wonder if it’s doing what you asked…and as far as sharing, you have to create the same file system as working in Photoshop and use a 3rd party share system like GDrive or Dropbox (which changes the files you worked so hard on) because this QR code based app simply doesn’t work.

Although the AI functions are great when they work, the components often glitch or aspects will “grey out” so you can’t repeat an action, so, even after giving it time to “learn” as much as I’d hoped it would save time over the many steps of adjustments PS can require to achieve an effect…this doesn’t.

I also discovered the hard way that you can’t back out of an adjustment without risking loss of all of your efforts unless you “save” after each edit and hope it does (yes, I did reference the “manual” and checked the areas that are supposed to address that).

And “saving” is slow…where PS makes it quick and simple.

There’s quite a bit of lag time between inputting and results and you sit there wondering if your input was recognized. A function will work one time and next time it won’t. You can spend an hour detail editing a single photo only to have the software glitch and you’ve lost all your work, and following the manual to “retrieve” it also doesn’t work.

Photoshop is quick to respond and allows you to chronologically go backwards and forwards and save with a single click in case you have to step away or you want to make it permanent.

Saving after every step of your edit might be a safeguard against losing your work but isn’t practical due to the time it takes to save, then try to reopen the file…when it allows you to save.

It might be a cheaper subscription, but until the functionality issues are addressed, high quality results can cost you more time and risk of lost work.

I know how important the inclusion of AI is in streamlining good quality without losing integrity. This software is full of potential that need more maturity and refinement to be user-friendly and trustworthy enough to depend on for consistent professional use.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2023-11-23, version 1.1.9*

Repeatedly scanned the Q code to activate the App and got nowhere. No useful info on the Help site.

### 1/5 — Need a better way to connect

*2023-10-05, version 1.1.9*

It’s OK when it works which is not often. I think they need to rethink importing/exporting with Luminar NEO. The PC program is great if only limited by the sharing options. Hopefully their companion app can follow suit with whatever comes down the pipeline.

### 1/5 — Won’t connect EVER!

*2023-08-24*

This app is so frustrating and annoying. It’s connects maybe twice and every other try, I’ve wasted Way too much time trying to get them to connect. I’ve tried everything and I know both my phone and computer are on the same wifi, however it tells me it couldn’t connect and to check the wifi every. single. time. Starting to doubt whether luminar is worth the $$…

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2023-08-01, version 1.1.9*

Doesnt connect, useless!

### 2/5 — Can not connect

*2023-07-30*

### 1/5 — Useless app. Does not Connect.

*2023-03-04, version 1.1.9*

Both of my devices are on the same network. Will not connect no matter what. Just a waste of time trying to make it work.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2023-02-23, version 1.1.9*

I’ve installed this app and tried many times to get it to connect to my Luminar program, I’m on the same network, have checked my firewall and virus software giving it full access and still it doesn’t work, I’ve left it on my phone incase there’s an update, but if one isn’t coming then I shall just delete it.

### 2/5 — No image saving option

*2023-01-25*

The connection is ok, the transfer is quick, but there is no option to save the image in the iOS image library 😔

**Developer response:** Hi! Luminar Share is designed for faster photo sharing with other apps and has its own in-app gallery, so currently there is no direct Save button to the mobile gallery. However, I created a request for this feature and added your vote there.

Meanwhile, if you want to add a photo to your mobile gallery, first, you need to save the photo to Google Drive, then open Google Drive, find the photo, and save it to the gallery.

### 1/5 — Camera access fails

*2025-12-01, version 1.1.10*

You have an issue where the app can not access the camera (even if set manually). So no way to scan QR link code - please fix!

### 1/5 — Impossible

*2025-11-11, version 1.1.10*

### 1/5 — Don’t Waste Your Time

*2025-07-18, version 1.1.10*

### 1/5 — Can’t share or save to iPhone

*2024-12-15*

I’m sending photos to my phone and I cannot easily save them to my photos apps. It should be an easy save button. Or at least an option under the share.

**Developer response:** Hi! I'm sorry to hear that. When you have connected the devices and the files have been transferred, you can share it, copy it, save it as a file, or import it to your Luminar Share Library. ### 5/5 — Good way to share with friends

*2023-06-10, version 1.1.9*

I’m an amateur photographer. Take allot of horse photos. This lets me take the edited photos with me me easy. I does say when connecting for the first time that there was an error. But I still works. I get the error then I’m connected. Weird. Just want the ability to show them through say an Apple TV so everyone doesn’t have to crowd around a small phone screen.

### 5/5 — Works as advertised

*2022-12-31*

I just completed transferring an image that I edited in Luminar Neo and I was able to share that quickly on Social Media. I am very happy.

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thank you so much for your feedback! We are very happy to hear that you are enjoying Luminar Neo and Luminar Share :)

### 5/5 — Simple and works great

*2022-08-10*

Downloaded and immediately started sharing files between my iPhone and MacBook. Works great!

**Developer response:** Hi! Thank you so much for your feedback! We are glad to hear that you enjoy using our software :)

### 5/5 — Works absolutely fine

*2022-04-18, version 1.1.8*

This feature is awesome thanks a lot!

### 5/5 — Where is QR code

*2022-03-27, version 1.1.7*

I love Luminar AI however this app tells me to bring up the QR code on Luminar AI but seriously either im daft or it’s totally hidden somewhere and i can’t find it. Have tried on both iMac and Macbook Pro still can’t find it. Ok im daft lol i did not try this with Luminar Neo.

### 5/5 — Works great so far

*2022-02-12, version 1.1.4*

Just downloaded Neo today and decided to try this app after remembering it being discussed, and I’m pleasantly surprised at how easy and quick it was to share photos between Neo and my phone!

### 5/5 — Just the app I needed

*2022-01-29, version 1.1.4*

Long time user of Luminar here, this app is great and just what I was looking for. I’m able to easily transfer edits to my phone for use on Instagram. Does anyone know if there’s a way to save the photos to the iPhone photos app directly?

### 5/5 — Need Improvement

*2022-01-22, version 1.1.3*

It’s not easy to scan the code every time you want to transfer pictures. I think the app should be synced with the software once the edit is finished and the pictures edited should appear in the app. So we don’t always have to scan the code to transfer anything.

Also the app must know the person using has already paid for the software by scanning the code once. Because there’s always ‘Buy Liminar Neo’ option shown.

I’m sure this app will improve in future but these are the things that I didn’t like at the moment. But I’m loving Luminar Neo.

### 5/5 — Connection little issue

*2022-01-17, version 1.1.2*

It looks a promising app guys I understand it’s still the early version but could you fix the bug that it keeps telling me make sure your both devices are connected to the same wifi network? I made sure that both devices are connected to the same network and when I scan the code from the desktop program it gives me the same error again. I’m using iMac and iPhone for this connection. Please check this issue thank you.
