### 1/5 — Don't work

*2013-02-28, version 1.4.0.7*

Don't work with dir-655.

### 2/5 — Works with WIFI nothing else

*2013-02-23, version 1.4.0.7*

Dir827 works when on the same network and connected to the router but access through the Internet never works. Dlink needs to up their game or I'm returning this and going with linksys which is MUCH better...

### 1/5 — If you have a DIR-655 don't bother

*2013-02-17, version 1.4.0.7*

SharePort works fine on my Mac and PC but this app is useless.

### 1/5 — Dir-826L

*2013-01-17, version 1.4.0.7*

Wow reading reviews. Unbelievable. ! I can't get pass the sign in. No to help as noted in earlier reviews is anyone out there?

### 1/5 — Worst App Ever

*2013-01-15, version 1.4.0.7*

If I were running Dlink, I'd be embarrased to put out such a worthless piece of crap. My DIR-645 is listed as compatible on their web site but when I install this app it fails to allow me to edit the login info so it is impossible to even get it to connect. I updated the firmware and I have no problem using a web browser to login and view my files on the attached USB drive. I can even login with mobile safari. But this app simply sits there and does nothing. It is inconceivable how they canput out something this buggy. Try to find some support on their web site- that is just as bad if not worse! I'm done with Dlink - my last product from them. I'll sell it on ebay and return to using Linksys.

### 1/5 — Still waiting for DIR-655 support

*2013-01-14, version 1.4.0.7*

Have two of these routers and would really like to use the shareport feature with our numerous mobile iDevices. Definitely makes me consider other router brands for current and future purchases in hopes of older devices having a longer support life.

### 1/5 — cant' find the app installation on Dlink site

*2013-01-05, version 1.4.0.7*

Useless: can't upload files from iPhone/iPad app, and no where on the web site can you find the computer app to manage files. Router was a waste of $$.

### 2/5 — First impression from DIR-506L

*2012-11-28, version 1.4.0.7*

I purchased DIR-506L to be able to browse pictures and videos from my cameras on iPad. Here is my first impression after playing with this App for an hour:
•	Setup is simple. It took me a minute or two to make it work. I have D-Link router and AP and familiar with D-Link UI. It is good that the DIR-506L setup is similar to other D-Link products.
•	Since I inserted the SD card with adapter, the unit started to build the file list (I guess) and it took several minutes. During this time WI-FI was off and I could not connect iPad to it. Since I just wanted to browse SD it was very annoying. Air Stash, for example, does it in several seconds. It would be nice if this unit/software would have just a folder browsing mode without sorting all files on the external drive by categories (pictures, music, etc.) giving a quick access to the content of the drive.
•	The slide show is okay. It has a good performance. D-Link shows pictures faster than Air Stash. I would be nice to have an option to zoom pictures.
•	I have two Nikon and Canon cameras. Both create videos in MOV format. The app plays video but does not paly sound. This is a defect, because using the WEB UI I can play the same video with sound. Please fix this.
•	There are problems with playing 1080P MOV files due to the low streaming speed. I think this maybe related to the Wi-Fi steaming limitation. It would be nice if the buffering of the stream would work better.

### 1/5 — DIR-505L

*2012-11-27, version 1.4.0.7*

Does not support the 505L model

### 2/5 — iPhone 5 support screen

*2012-10-21, version 1.4.0.7*

Make it optimized for iPhone 5!
And to play music in the background . !!!

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2012-09-29, version 1.4.0.7*

Takes awhile for my phone to access the files after plugging in the USB drive.
Does not support mkv.
Had I known that this application is so sloppy, I would not have bought the D-Link router.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2014-12-19, version 1.6.6.20*

No value when it crashes as soon as you try to play a video or song.

### 1/5 — Video stopped working around iOS 7

*2014-10-12, version 1.6.6.20*

Was 5* until video stopped. Needs to be updated.

### 1/5 — Poor suport

*2014-07-09, version 1.6.6.20*

Just bad...

### 1/5 — Great idea - poor execution

*2014-01-29, version 1.5.0.1*

Does anyone at D-Link do quality control before releasing an app? Debugging? This app doesn't work for me. Deleting after one hour of thorough testing...

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2013-12-05, version 1.5.0.1*

This this is barely functional.

### 1/5 — Lame

*2013-05-15, version 1.4.0.7*

I paid way too much for this router. Crap app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 3/5 — Almost there.

*2015-10-19, version 1.8.0.24*

I use this app to connect to a external hard drive with a D-Link 506L router.

Unfortunately the filters for sorting are to basic.

And MKV files and AVI files are not supported.

I guess the next update will get these things fixed.

Thanks for the good work.

### 3/5 — Great potential

*2013-11-28, version 1.5.0.1*

I like the app, but it has some problems. Sometimes it chars he's when uploading archives.
It gives the photos names (upload date and time) which for some people can be complicated and on the file upload list.
When a file is uploaded, the "letters and numbers become all messed". When the archive is uploaded, it's name and size continues in the line and combine with the next file on the list. He result is that you can't read what's on the list.

### 3/5 — Works for me

*2012-06-14, version 1.2.0.3*

I have a D-link DIR-505. In its router/AP mode this app sees it and organizes photos/music/movies from an attached USB flash drive. The drive has to be formatted for PCs and audio files must be mp3 or wmv according to info in a FAQ. It works but I can't think of any time I'd use it.

### 3/5 — Need support

*2012-05-25, version 1.1.0.3*

Every time I think I have it right it says there is no storage device plugged into the router. I have a free agent hard drive plugged in. If it will work it will be awesome, but how do I get it to work?

### 2/5 — Half way there

*2014-05-22, version 1.5.0.1*

This app needs to be merged with the admin only version. The other version has better features and works better, but it only allows for the admin user. This app allows for other users that only have read permissions.

### 2/5 — Ok, but app needs work

*2013-12-26, version 1.5.0.1*

### 2/5 — Ok, when it works

*2013-11-16, version 1.5.0.1*

It plays great when it works, but randomly won't play anything. There is no rhyme or reason why it does this. I hope they fix it. I hate logging on using the web browser, it randomly expires log in and stops a movie.

### 2/5 — Poor functionality

*2013-06-18, version 1.4.0.7*

I installed this app to access storage on my Dlink Dir-506l and frankly expected better functionality. They could make it easier for us to download material into mobile device, and also to save materialism usb drive through the router. Also, we should be able to change the default port and access the storage from other apps such as FileExplorer. We shouldn't be limited to this app or the browser.

### 2/5 — Ok some times

*2013-04-16, version 1.4.0.7*

Hi share port developers , your app is good and serves most purpose but movie playing is very limited as the app does not support .mkv , .avi file playback. Please add support for playing these files and I give 5 stars. Waiting for an update....

### 2/5 — Sad

*2013-04-15, version 1.4.0.7*

Was a battle getting configured and working. Once working, disappointing. Songs won't play in background so stuck looking at blackened out play screen. Oh and don't let iPad go to power save because that turns off music as well. You have to keep moving the blackened screen and or touching the screen from time to time. Sad app thus far. Better off using Dropbox.
