## What is Shark Companion?

**Shark Companion – the digital cockpit companion for Shark pilots**

Shark Companion brings essential tools for flight preparation, cockpit use and post-flight tasks together in one app – specifically designed for Shark pilots and available offline.

**DIGITAL CHECKLISTS**
Use structured checklists and preflight inspections directly on your iPhone or iPad. Checklists can be customized to match your aircraft configuration and personal workflow. Voice Check can assist you while working through the checklist.

**DRAWBOARDS FOR QUICK NOTES**
Write down clearances, frequencies and other important information directly with your finger or Apple Pencil. Dedicated boards accompany you from taxi and take-off through cruise, CTR transit and landing. Information can be transferred to the next board.

**MAINTENANCE & DUE DATES**
Keep track of important dates and aircraft hours. Shark Companion manages inspections, oil changes, engine, propeller and rescue system intervals and reminds you of upcoming due dates.

**DYNON SKYVIEW**
For appropriately configured aircraft, additional export functions are available for checklists and maintenance information.

**TAKE-OFF PERFORMANCE ESTIMATE**
Estimate the required take-off distance based on QNH, temperature, wind, runway direction and aircraft configuration.

**WEIGHT & BALANCE**
Calculate aircraft weight and centre of gravity for your flight directly in the app.

**EMERGENCY PROCEDURES**
Important emergency procedures are quickly accessible – including while using other reference sections of the app.

**SHARK KNOWLEDGE**
Technical information, V-speeds, country information, airspace guidance, document requirements and additional pilot references are available directly in the app.

**RADIO & ATC**
Support for typical radio procedures with useful phraseology, frequencies and information for different phases of flight.

**CONFIGURED FOR YOUR SHARK**
Aircraft type, registration and installed equipment are entered once and automatically taken into account by the relevant areas of the app.

**OFFLINE IN THE COCKPIT**
Shark Companion does not require an internet connection for its core functions. Your settings and aircraft data remain stored on your device.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-08

The checklist has been significantly expanded: a new complete overview shows all flight phases and sections, while the new “Before Entering” section guides pilots through the final checks before entering the aircraft. Checklist sections can be marked complete directly from their section view. The checklist can also be customized and extended with personal German/English pages and optional Voice output. Radio phraseology examples have been further refined. Images and now videos in the pre-flight inspection can be enlarged in full screen. This update also includes additional refinements and bug fixes.
