I have a German Shepherd dog. So, I purchased my Shark to help with dog hair shedding. Has been more than adequate. Performs equally well on hardwoods, low pile, and shag carpeting. My only issue is that the dirt reservoir could be larger. Other than that, highly recommended.

Love the vacuuming ability & precision but this thing is rough on furniture legs. It bangs into everything & will knock the finish right off with repeated use. Fantastic at picking up cat hair though so I still use it several times a week.
