### 5/5 — My curiosity roams

*2024-01-11*

I have been fascinated with eye charts, and this is perfect!

### 5/5 — Very good chart

*2023-07-13*

There are many vision charts out there which have not really changed for years and use fixed hardware .
The unique features are ability to set the size of the monitor and the distance from the screen in mm. So often only in 0.5m jumps

Also at last a chart that randomises the letters. Brilliant this feature alone is a reason to get the app.

Ideas

Logmar is about how many letters you read
So an easy way to count number of letters would be good .

One feature for dyslexic patient is to change the background colour as often they find a light brown colour easier to read.

Other languages

Great program

### 5/5 — Best app ever!

**Developer response:** Thanks for such an awesome review!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.61 — 2025-12-02

Chart updates!
- There's a new fixation disparity / suppression chart in the binocular charts, with both horizontal and vertical options.
- I added a new Optotype to match International standard 10 letters. The random function on the original chart still only shows the standard 10 letters, but the new optotype has new default charts that display only those 10 letters.

Upgrades!
- You can now choose the colours for the binocular charts. Use red/green instead of red/blue? Just set the colours accordingly. The "binocular" colour will be automatically calculated for you.
- You can now view and delete saved monitors in the settings screen.
- The calibration / settings screen has been improved to show the colours and also a sample letter.
- The fan chart has been moved to the astigmatism charts section, which just makes a lot more sense.

Bug fixes!
- Fixed monitor settings sharing between devices. Your monitor settings won't disappear anymore if you're using multiple devices.

Keeping up with the Joneses!
- Supports iOS 26
- Minimum iOS version is now 15.6.

### 1.60 — 2025-03-12

- I added a new optotype (digits), which is the numbers 0 to 9 in the same font as the main letters.
- The "randomise" chart action will now pause/play a video. By default this means you can tap the screen to pause / play a video.
- Oh, and a BIG bug fix. You know how if you connect to AirPlay after starting the app, or it drops out and you have to reconnect and sometimes the scaling is off? Yes, well that's been fixed! Sorry it took so long to fix it!

### 1.50 — 2024-03-04

This version adds Siri shortcut support to enable you to control the app from a distance just with your voice, or anything else that integrates with the Shortcuts app. You can both perform actions like increase letter size and you can open a particular named chart. To name a chart, just hold your finger on a chart shortcut.

There's also a new Optotype that follows the BS4274.3 standard.

And there's been a bug fix. If you've noticed that your chart is running slowly, that's likely because a bug has caused the shortcuts list and the recent shortcuts list to keep doubling itself. This version fixes that bug. You may need to reset your shortcuts back to the default to remove all the double-ups.

### 1.41 — 2023-10-04

The randomisation of letters has been made less random, so that the same letter never appears in the same place, and letters in the line above or below never repeat in the same location. Despite being less random, this makes the charts look more random...

### 1.40 — 2023-08-10

- Added two new gestures: two finger swipe up & two finger swipe down.
- Added two new gesture actions: move line up & move line down.
- If you set a gesture action to "move line up" (or down), which only works on the multiple line chart, then it will work as an enlarge / reduce action on the other charts.
- Also, if you move the line up (or down) too far, then the chart will change to the next larger / smaller chart (this also works for the Apple TV app).

I suggest changing the single swipe up / down to move the line up / down, and make the double finger swipe up / down the enlarge / reduce actions. This works really well.

There's also a brand new Settings screen if you're on iOS 16 or above.
