Impossible. *2023-10-08, version 1.3.3* After connecting to wifi the app will not allow you to click the next button to move to the next screen to enter one time code. I have tried multiple times on multiple devices. Frustrating. Useless. ### 1/5 — Can’t even create an account *2023-09-01, version 1.3.3* App simply does not work. Well, I shouldn’t say done, because I just gave up before I finished a total waste of 30 minutes for a non-operative app got stuck at the first level because our appliance would not allow you to get to the Wi-Fi function. ### 1/5 — Buggy app *2022-10-19, version 1.3.1* The app freezes when opened. ### 1/5 — Absolutely pointless *2022-10-06, version 1.3.1* This app and the wifi features of this microwave are a completely pointless gimmick. It is an incredible waste of technology and resources, and is basically a glorified way for them to collect information about you and force you to create an account. Things that would make it less pointless: Siri integration: “Hey Siri, open the microwave” “Hey Siri, cook for 5 minutes” (closes the microwave, cooks) User-created cook profiles for one-touch cooking of foods that I cook often, featured prominently on the Home Screen. Siri integration with this feature. Integration with Shortcuts. Home Screen widgets. Apple Watch complications to control the microwave. ### 1/5 — Worst App … Not even an App *2022-09-25, version 1.3.1* This is the worst app experience… I bought new device and to configure first the app doesn’t load and then its just a web version of app… a big company like sharp definitely can use Native App than to go for Web Apps… App never loads, cant accept terms and conditions or do anything with this grabage app…. Can the dev team help? If you need new dev team tell me, I own a company of developers and belive me none of our apps in market suffer from these issues… And please we are ending 2022 and your TnC are still of 2019…. Definitely need better work at this… Hope they fix the issues… Let users agree TnC to atleast login…. ### 1/5 — Dead app *2022-09-24, version 1.3.1* Have reinstalled app and can’t get past the “Let’s Go” launch page. App is useless. To spend this much money on a drawer microwave, and for Sharp to tout the app, they should give it at least some support. You can open the microwave drawer but you can’t close it from the app so you need to access the panel or push on the drawer anyway. The app occasionally gets confused and you need to clear it from the panel before you can do anything from the app. ### 1/5 — $1500 microwave/ no app/ DONT BUY *2022-02-02, version 1.2.0* Purchased a Sharp drawer microwave. Supposed to work with this app. Sign up for an account in the app and it is supposed to send a confirmation email so that you can use the app. No confirmation email is ever sent therefore you can’t sign into the app. Contacted Sharp customer service via phone. Agent had no resolution. Don’t waste your money on this expensive unit ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2022-01-13, version 1.2.0* Downloaded the App and nothing happens. Can’t set up an account. Deleted app and tried again. I’m using iPhone 11 pro max with latest updates. Not off to a good start. It also crashes incessantly when trying to use on new mac pro w/ M1pro processor. zero stars would be better and makes the wifi functionality for Sharp Microwave unaccessible so the whole thing is zero stars. I tried setting up an account and never received a confirmation email. I contacted tech support and they got back to me 4 days later. Over the course of 6 additional days talked with several people who couldnt help. I tried setting up an account with a diff email. Still no confirmation. After an additional 4 days at which point i asked them to delete the account and i would try again. They called two days later and said the account was deleted and i went to try it and the account had not been deleted. It is frustrating.. Can't get this stupid thing to work. ### 1/5 — So many problems with this app and microwave *2025-12-23, version 1.3.4* Have tried repeatedly to use this app because otherwise you have to use the bothersome pop-out control panel on the microwave. You spend an hour trying to get the app/microwave to connect to the WiFi, then it works for a few days and then unexpectedly says it’s not connected anymore. Trying to get it to connect/reconnect is maddening— you do the same recommended technique over and over and finally the 4th or 9th time it connects (but not for long). Even when it is connected, the app is very glitchy— just now microwave is beeping at me telling me that my food is done, but app won’t let me open the door because it says the microwave is in use. This microwave, awful connectivity and its dysfunctional app are a persistent aggravation. ### 1/5 — Horrible WiFi connectivity *2025-12-14, version 1.3.4* Huge pain to pair, the oven loses wifi settings any time power goes out. Constantly have to remove and re-add appliance. Might as well not even have connectivity. The instructions are incomplete. The app never connects to the device ; even when it shows successful in your WiFi settings. Much easier scrolling through menus on the control panel. Keeps the fingerprints off too. App loaded right away, set up my account with an immediate confirmation email, and it’s worked great ever since! ### 3/5 — Will not connect to WiFi *2023-08-16, version 1.3.3* Can’t get microwave to connect to WiFi. Go through all the steps but at end it says “Connection Failed “. Does not tell what issue made it fail. Was working fine up to a few months ago. Will search web for solution or call support. However the WiFi is not critical since it’s easier to just press buttons on front panel to cook food than opening app. But the WiFi under counter model looks much nicer than the one without WiFi. ### 3/5 — iOS 14.2 appears to break this app *2020-11-25, version 1.0.0* After updating my phone to the latest iOS it appears that this app no longer works. I think it needs to be updated. ### 2/5 — Very nice gimmick! *2022-12-31, version 1.3.2* Microwave connects to WI-FI. Yes. And there is a super-clunky app that offers absolutely nothing useful. It does do a really good job of spamming your phone with useless messages- “microwave cooking”. “Door closed” - that you cannot control or disable from the app. Maybe add temperature information or estimated time remaining for sensor cooking. ### 2/5 — Slow and buggy *2021-08-07, version 1.1.0* Takes forever to open, takes forever to respond, and gives random error messages. For example, I click +30 sec to increase cooking time and the app saves I’ve “exceeded the maximum number of saves”. What does that even mean?
