Stop flipping through massive notebooks, or losing your notes entirely, while trying to keep track of your role-playing game progress. Save and easily search for non-player characters, game world locations, quests, and bosses in your favorite RPGs. Track NPC locations and quests, filter on complete or incomplete quests and locations, and view at-a-glance stats for your games. Must-have companion for massive RPG video games like Elden Ring, or your favorite Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Shattered Ring is the easy-to-use iOS RPG game task tracking app you never knew you needed. Add notes to NPCs, and search not only on NPC, location, or quest name but the contents of your notes. Enter as little or as much information as you'd like. Create new NPCs with as little as a name, or add details about quests and locations when you create the NPC. You can always go back later and add existing locations or quests to an NPC you've created. Why stop at notes? Take a picture of the map and save it to your Location images. Load your favorite game guides up in your iOS device browser and save the links to your NPC, location, quest or boss entries so you can easily visit them later. But locations and quests aren't tied to NPCs alone! Enter quests you stumble across as you explore large, open-world video games. Or enter locations into the app when you discover new points of interest, and store details to remind you to come back later, such as the presence of a helpful merchant or a note that you didn't clear so you can come back later to see if there's any good loot. And don't forget to track your bosses - keep track of how many bosses you've defeated, and use the undefeated boss list as a reminder to come back and revisit the tougher bosses when you've leveled up or have better gear. Use boss notes to save dropped items, or save links to boss fight walkthroughs to help you figure how to beat them. There is no compendium, no wiki, no map, no pre-existing data whatsoever. It is literally a notebook. Better to burn 3 dollars and at least get a bit of warmth. ### 5/5 — Minimalist. Perfect. *2023-05-25, version 1.3.1* I was looking for a way to log my progress and experiences in Elden Ring. There are plenty of maps, wikis, and other resources available. I wanted to only track my characters experience, log the quests, and organically build out things. And this provides just that. It’s not a guide. Not an index. Basically a way to keep your notes organized and track your characters progress. ### 1/5 — Seems broken *2022-06-05, version 1.3.0* There is nothing in the app. I can’t find any NPCs to check off ### 1/5 — Just a blank notebook basically *2022-05-22, version 1.3.0* I just looked at 3 Elden Ring apps, including this one. The others offer places for notes but also maps, preloaded lists of npcs, bosses, quests, etc. I will say this one is cheap but just know it’s basically just blank pages. ### 2/5 — Meh, not worth it. *2022-05-20, version 1.3.0* I bought it, tried it…but manually entering things isn’t helpful, and known items, places, enemies don’t seem to be in the app. Nor is there a map. I stopped using it after a day or two and have started using mapgenie, which has features and is a great help. I don’t care about spoilers, the game is huge and complex enough already, spoilers aren’t a big deal. If this app gets updated or become actually helpful, I’ll give it another try. ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2022-04-04, version 1.2.0* Literally has nothing in here. Just wasted £2.50 on this garbage. Version 1.3 rolled out a few days ago and it does provide the ability to store images for each entry, as well as linking to your preferred Wiki entries or game guides. This is actually the first time I’ve had a request to provide an interactive map, but I’ll add it to the feature requests I’m tracking on the Shattered Ring website: https://shatteredring.com/faq/#id-like-to-see-a-feature---how-can-i-request-it I appreciate you taking the time to leave a review, and I hope you continue to enjoy the new updates I’m planning! ### 3/5 — Could be the perfect companion app *2022-03-29, version 1.2.0* This app structure really could make it very easy to do a play though making sure that you’ve hit all content. I would say the one thing that’s missing would a ‘pre-seeded’ database. So don’t make me type in all the locations/NPC names. Just let me check off that I’ve met them. And maybe mark it as “need to come back” and put in a note. Would def make this app a 5/5 if it had that. ### 4/5 — Good app, looking forward to it being great *2022-03-25, version 1.2.0* This app is super useful and very good - much better than just using my notes app. A couple of crashes so far but no data lost so that’s good. Looking forward to seeing some new features in future updates, such as a general notes section for those times where we find things that don’t quite fall into a full-on quest, but we want to track in any case.
