I assume they are there and get surprised when I do a pickup and it’s missing items ### 3/5 — Frustrating to use *2026-07-30* I have been using this service for over a year at this point. It can be very convenient to add items to a cart throughout the week rather than make a list; or even to put an order together while at work. The app is easy to use for the most part but I have a few gripes. When items aren’t listed EXACTLY as described on the app, they are “unavailable” in store. Unless you have chosen a substitute, you’re not getting the item. You receive updates if something wasn’t in stock and you are sent a link to the app to make a request. The app frequently breaks so even when you get a message to “ask for a substitution” the link does not work to chat with anyone. When calling the Albertsons customer service line for help, you have to deal with an AI agent that cannot help you with your order and you get transferred to an agent that can’t help you with your order. Calling the store gets you transferred more than once. You don’t always get all of the items you ordered so It’s honestly faster to just go to the store yourself and get it right the first time. Produce is mixed quality at best and we frequently get outdated bakery goods or are told they are out of stock if you ask for refunds too frequently. **Developer response:** Hi, thank you for sharing your feedback. App will frequently crash when trying to add groceries to list or just use the search. App is slow to load and slow to respond when navigating back and forth between cart/search/lists. Trying to invite a family member to my group, the text message never arrives, and I can't use email because it says "email isn't set up on my device yet," even though I have both a verified email in the app, and a default email application set in iOS. ### 5/5 — 1st Online Pick Up Order *2026-07-28* I have never placed an order online to be picked up at Shaws until a few weeks ago at the middle Street in Weymouth, Massachusetts location. I must say that the experience was most positive in which when I arrived the person who seemed to manage the area of pick up was extremely well-versed and New before I could tell him anything that my order was already in the carriage and ready for me to go. Everything was there in stock that I had placed in my car and the person that helped me that seemed to manage. The pick up area was just amazing and just less than three minutes I was out the door something that would normally take me an hour, which was a blessing. But of course, I could always purchase the item at full price and then go and stand in line at tbe help counter. That would be fun. ### 1/5 — Good savings but VERY INCONVENIENT *2026-07-12, version 2026.21.1* The app can be extremely inconvenient when you just need to get your damn groceries and then flash is always shoved in your face and there’s no free flash option even when you have tons of points and then the pickup and delivery windows fill up too quickly rather than 2 hours before to select that window and it feels like it’s on purpose to force you to pay for their flash option . It’s incredibly inconvenient, honestly they should just allow the 1-2 hours before to keep or select the reservation if the store is literally open until 10pm but it’s like a worse version of Walmart in being incredibly inconvenient and trying to force you to pay for their flash option. THEN, there’s the unnecessary ai that is just extremely useless and helps absolutely no one, humans handle human issues better than ai will and it really doesn’t help with anything that you can’t look up or find yourself. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2026-07-01, version 2026.21.0* Everytime i try to use this app instore to “clip coupons” i end up feeling like an absolute idiot as the clerk attempts and fails to assist me. It has saved me untold hours over the years. Three suggestions that would make it absolutely perfect - 1) Allow a specified quantity for substitutions! If I order 5 potatoes and my substitution is a bag of potatoes, it would be great to say 1 bag rather than 5. I currently put this info in the notes but it’s time consuming to do this for every item. 2) On the Buy Again page, as I scroll down and it loads more items it skips down so I have to scroll back up to find where I left off. 3) Also on the Buy Again page, if I search something and then hit back to go back to the list, it takes me to the top and I need to scroll way down to find my spot again.
