## What is Sheep Breed Compendium?

Australia is known globally for its production of high quality wool fibre, but not all wool is the same and not all sheep breeds are the same or have the same end use.
 
Q: How many sheep breeds are there in Australia? What do they look like? What do the different sheep breeds produce? Where do they come from? What is their wool used for?
 
The Sheep Breed Compendium (SBC) answers these questions and more with high quality photographs and details of each sheep breed in Australia.  The SBC also provides details about the characteristics of wool – what are they and why are they important?
 
The SBC is the industry reference guide of sheep & wool.
