### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2024-10-29, version 3.3.0*

Best online training app available, and the Facebook group support is unmatched.

### 5/5 — Best AI based programming app

*2024-09-05*

Most brillant and updated app for workout routine and powerlifting prep. Lifetime subscription is so worth it.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2024-08-14, version 3.1.1*

Excellent app. Great support, tons of features, frequent updates. Can’t say enough good things about this app. Buy the velos id if you can afford it, it takes the app to a whole new level, especially if you like to nerd out about statistics.

### 5/5 — Everything you need to progress in powerlifting

*2024-08-11*

There isn’t much more I can ask for with this app; intelligent and adaptive training, easy to use app, real-time adjustments as needed, extremely helpful group chat with lots of input and advice from the creator of the app. It’s nice to have to take the thinking out of training; the AI always seems to have a really good understanding of how much to push you and how well you’re recovering to balance your training.

### 5/5 — Love the AI

*2024-06-28, version 3.0.5*

Great app!

### 5/5 — Simplify your life - Use this

*2024-06-22*

This is one of those things that you wish i could have had 10-15 years ago in high school. Having to sit down and manually plan out your lifts takes up a lot of time - and time is money.

Unfortunately, anyone who is serious about training beyond marginally better is bound to the need to either hire someone to tell you what to do or to plan it yourself. I ran into this app almost 2 years ago and it’s one of those things that is well thought out to the point where it seamlessly has integrated into my routine.

I had some questions along the way but the dev has always been good to respond and explain things.

I will say that it’s 10x better with the velocID tracker if you can get your hands on one (they’re hard to come by due to always selling out)

Honestly just take the plunge and try it for a few months - the feeling of being able to go into the gym with a good program while not having to consume your schedule with planning is worth it.

### 5/5 — Very pleased with this app.

*2024-05-28*

I bought the lifetime membership and it’s one of the best purchases I ever made.

I’ll take breaks from powerlifting and run other programs for a bit but every time I come back this app has something new and useful for me. Once the 5 day plan is incorporated I may never need to use anything other than the app.

Fantastic work by the developers! Highly recommend it!

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2024-01-04*

I used sheiko workouts in the past. I love low rep, heavy weight, high volume lifting. This app takes all the guess work out. Remember to customize the exercise selection and it picks only exercises available to you and identifies your preferred lifts.

Overall I love this app for how simple it makes lifting. I used to overthink my training plans or tweak them too often. This negates that. I get to just lift.

### 5/5 — More Than Just Sheiko

*2023-12-11, version 2.8.3*

This app keeps getting better with every update. It’s more than Sheiko. You can add your own exercises and build your own workouts.

### 5/5 — Superb Customer Service

*2023-11-12*

Been using off and on for years. Had a problem and reported bug. Got an email response from developer not some underling the actual developer and emailed back and forth until issue was resolved. Not only that but the strength and size gains on this app is absolutely amazing. Best program I have used since beginning weight training 30 years ago. If i could give more stars I would so I guess I can do multiple reviews lol.

### 4/5 — It’s good but…

*2023-09-17*

I love a lot about this set up. Good workouts, periodization, and takes away a lot of them overkill from other ai apps. It also doesn’t murder you with volume like JuggAI/EvolveAI. Some things though:

- The app info states there is place to ask questions to the AI by clicking on the avatar which is not the case

- More of a “black box” approach where you don’t really see the big plan - more of a historical and one day at a time visual.

- No option to undo a rest day log. Like if you log a rest day and decide you want to log a workout instead, you can’t undo it. (Although you can still start a workout, but presumably the rest day you logged remains?

- No option to go back to the previous day if you forgot to log a rest day

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback.

- The AI chat has been removed. I've also updated the help page to remove references to the chat function.

- The black box comment is something I don't quite get. You determine your training objective when you select a training period (e.g. off-season focus on hypertrophy or pre-comp focus on 1RMs). That's the high level view. Your daily view consists of rotating bench/squat days and bench/deadlift days. The level of stress depends on your state of readiness and the specific exercises assigned depend on your chosen pool of exercises for each movement. So it's all rather predictable from that vantage point.

- No need to undo rest days. Those are simply wellness check-ins without workout data. If you follow up and do a workout, that data is simply added for the day.

- Back dating data is not available, that's true. However, the app can function with a missing rest day.

If you haven't already done so, please join the Facebook group so we can share ideas and address issues that pop up in the course of using the app.

### 5/5 — Absolutely Fantastic !!!

*2023-09-15*

First let me state, I am NOT a competitive powerlifter. But I am a competitive amateur athlete that has made a living as a full-time personal trainer and coach for the last 25 years. This app has everything a serious lifter could ask for to quantify their training. HRV, RHR and other metrics to assess athlete readiness before and RPE during the workout vs. loads, reps and sets; all combine to create an impulse response model to training that is the best I have seen for the gym. You can add your own exercises to your app’s library and the entries are very specific and detailed. You can add velocity accelerometer data that synchs to the app. And this is just scratching the surface. The thought that went into this is simply outstanding. But this app isn’t for everyone. This app is for athletes that value optimizing and quantifying training loads and are students of the craft. It will take about 30 days of entries before the AI in the app becomes helpful and you must enter the data, all of it. If you can’t do that you’re wasting your time. But for the focused and disciplined this app delivers!

### 5/5 — Really helpful

*2023-08-03*

I am coming back from a major health issue and was uncertain how to structure my training. This app takes my wellness into account and removes a lot of uncertainty. It also increases my motivation to train by telling me when to train and by allowing me to set things up so that the training isn’t going to be too tough.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Terrible. And won’t let me delete account

*2026-05-03*

I decided to check out this app. I read that it’s better than juggernaut, so it got my attention. I don’t like that layout, it locks you in the workout, and you can’t go back to the main menu til you completed the workout. I just put in fake numbers til I’m finally able to access the main menu. I’m trying to delete my account and it’s not letting me. Please, just free me from this stupid app

**Developer response:** You can pause the workout at any time and return to the dashboard. But what do you need on the dashboard while you're in the middle of a workout? If your objective is to load a different workout from the dashboard, then yes, you need to end the current workout before you can start a new one. Account deletion is also straight forward. Go to Admin->Delete Account. Type your username to confirm. That's it.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-09-01, version 3.5.7*

Very difficult to use with countless hoops to jump through to simple track bar speed.

### 1/5 — Was hopeful, but was left disappointed

*2023-05-31*

No option to delete or log past workouts, and no way to sync data from Sheiko Classic app. Very rigid app that offers very little flexibility.

### 2/5 — It's a great app except

*2023-11-22, version 2.8.3*

Update 11/22/23: I don't know why but some of my exercises are giving me wacky weights tondo. For instance competition bench is trying to make me go up to 800 pounds. My max is 330 pounds.

Also for years now the accessories always has the opposite system. If I am using kilos the accessories are in pounds and if it is pounds the accessories default to kilos. I have no idea why this happens. I figured it would be fixed but never has.

Also I think the summary should just be on the bottom where you scroll too in the timer screen. It being a separate screen and then the timer can't be seen anymore is a little clunky.

Hope these get remedied soon.

Loving the app so far. Only thing that I didn't like is that I was in the middle of Sheiko AML to use for observation time. In fact I have 16 days of observation. Before subscribing was able to pick the AML template but after you subscribe you have to manually put it in. I intend to use sheiko for AI after the template is run but hate having to put the AML in manually. Also would love to be able for the timer to run even after you dismiss and also that after the last set you could see what the next exercise is. It just says. Next exercise. Edit: I see that you updated that. Thanks for listening to your consumers. It would be good if the timer started right when you clicked the new weight though during rpe screen. I have pressed it but not chosen rpe and then when I do the timer starts. Minor detail. Also if you could be able to go in and out of the recovery screen and have that timer independent of that screen that would be good too. update 10/22/2021 - Still a great app , would hope that you could see what workout will be next before choosing Sheiko AI workout as well. In the regular Sheiko app you can see a preview of what your next workout is going to be without opening the training section. Edit: love the updates , small request. If the percentage numbers were next to the values. Just helps a little seeing exact percentages of maxes I’m doing. Thanks for the best updates in any app I ever had. Well worth the money.

### 2/5 — Not worth the money

*2023-10-18, version 2.7.5*

Really bad UX A lot of bugs You have to add a lot of exercises manually No apple watch support I'll use the app for one more month to see if the program is any good.

### 2/5 — Good until the latest version

*2023-09-17, version 2.7.4*

Works great, particularly with the velocity meter, but the latest update is very buggy. Crashes multiple times per workout and doesn’t record the last set. Of course the bug report function also doesn’t work, so you can’t report all the bugginess.

### 3/5 — Account support

*2026-05-21*

I had to change my password and did so, but the app still tells me I have incorrect login. Info. For the life of me I can’t locate contact info for customer support. The support page takes me to the website, but there’s no option for contacting support there either. Please assist.

**Developer response:** The contact link is at the bottom of the site homepage. Reach out there and we'll get you sorted out.

### 3/5 — Confusing

*2024-11-05*

So far I’m a little confused as to how to use the app, even after reading the instructions.
- I can’t figure out how to do the preset program it mentions
-the AI workouts are confusing to move through because it seems you have to let the timer run down or it won’t count the set as complete (I started just fast forwarding the timer because I keep app interaction minimal between sets)
- if I toggled to another screen it would clear my sets and I had to reenter them
- there’s no way to mark the whole exercise complete. I just had to hit dismiss and then on the main workout page it would say I still had all the sets left

**Developer response:** The preset programs will show up after you go through the observation period and there is some training history you can use to match up with an appropriate preset program. During your actual workouts, check the menu icon on the top right of the exercise screen. You can disable the timer there. But you still need to mark the sets as complete and rate the difficulties of each. That feedback is important for the app to figure out what's next.

### 3/5 — wish app was more user friendly

*2021-10-11, version 1.13.4*

There are too many options and buttons to click, i have no idea what im looking at or what im supposed to be doing. The main screen is too overwhelming.

### 3/5 — Subscription based

*2021-02-08, version 1.4.0*

I did the observation period, and today I unexpectedly ran into the subscription part. It wouldve been nice for it to tell you that before your’e observation period.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Top Notch

*2026-07-04*

Excuse me if I sound selfish but I’m glad not many people know about this app. It’s been a total game changer for me and I feel like it gives me an edge over people using other training apps. I’ve certainly tried them all and this is my absolute favorite. The most consistent gains and longest period of being injury free I’ve ever experienced. Respect!

### 5/5 — Highly recommend!

*2026-05-14*

I’ve been using this app for 4+ years and still highly recommend it to anyone looking to get stronger. Even though “Powerlifting” is in the title, it now caters to several goals.

I also recommend joining the Facebook Group. Most of your questions have probably already been answered. It’s a really supportive group. You’ll also notice how involved the developer continues to be.

### 5/5 — Awesome App - 10/10

*2025-10-04*

Highly recommend this app if you want one place for all things Sheiko. Been making great progress on all 3 lifts. Reasonable monthly and one-time price considering standard rates for monthly programming.

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2025-08-14, version 3.5.7*

Great for those who self program their workouts. Can be taken in a more general training / hypertrophy direction, or hardcore strength. Highly recommended

### 5/5 — Love the AI

*2025-06-22, version 3.5.5*

Great app!

### 5/5 — Great app for me!

*2025-05-23, version 3.5.0*

I love this app because it does all the planning for my gym sessions. The more I use it, the more I learn and enhance my workouts. My gains have been significant. I highly recommend!

### 5/5 — The best

*2025-05-23, version 3.5.0*

The best workout app ever

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-05-23*

Excellent app. Great support, tons of features, frequent updates. Can’t say enough good things about this app. Buy the velos id if you can afford it, it takes the app to a whole new level, especially if you like to nerd out about statistics.

### 5/5 — The best program I've ever used

*2025-05-21*

I've tried many programs over the last five years but none compare even close to this. On other programs, I always ended up overtraining and either hit previous plateaus like a brick wall or get minor injuries setting me back.

However, the Sheiko program is different. I was afraid it would result in overtraining again because of the high volume and frequency. But this never happened because it’s AI keeps you two or three reps away from failure. It also monitors your recovery and will add or remove workload accordingly.

This has stopped me from overtraining whilst working hard enough to make gains. I got a bench press PB just before the gyms got closed and my squat and deadlift we're feeling strong. Unfortunately, it was not possible to test those before COVID-19 brought the lockdown.

Although I have not used all the training stages yet, I'm confident they will work great. I couldn't recommend this App more highly. It's been very reliable and is updated frequently. So far, I've subscribed for six months but intend to take out the lifetime option next. Even if you put your own program in, the recovery monitor is invaluable.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-01-14*

SG is excellent. Adaptable and very flexible. I am getting up there in age and not a competitive powerlifter, but have still found the programming to be sound and useful for gaining strength across a variety of squat, hip hinge, and bench press movements. It’s simple to adjust the scheduling to meet your preferences and recovery ability.
