## What is ShelbyNEXT | Membership?

The ShelbyNEXT Membership iPhone app allows you to access all of ShelbyNEXT Membership's core features while on the go!

People Features:
- Create People.
- View lists of all members and groups, complete with thumbnails of profile pictures.
- Use as a church directory, if enabled.
- View all information for a person. Including personal, contact, dates, custom fields, and family.
- Tap profile image to add a new one.
- Edit all fields, including custom ones.
- Add/remove people from groups.
- Add/Edit notes.
- Print a summary page, using AirPrint.
- Add a person to your Contacts.

Self Check-in:
- People can check in when close to church, so labels are already printed and waiting for them, when they get inside.

Interactions:
- View lists of Completed, Outstanding, and My Outstanding interactions.
- Edit Outstanding Interactions.
- Assign/Log a new interaction.

Attendance:
- Add/edit attendance for a group.
- Add visitors who are currently in the system.
- Create and add visitors.
- Swipe left on a name to see more options.

Mass Contact
- Mass Email a group.
- Mass SMS and Voice message (Requires this to be configured via web)

Worked fine for about a month then started dropping data. Alphabet list on the right side of the screen disappeared, names dropped off the database. The app has evolved into something that is now useless.

After the recent update to 2.17.7, the search for an individual is almost totally useless! The app (both for iOS or Android) brings back every possible record when searching for a specific name. For instance, if I search for Mary Jones, any place “Mary” appears or “Jones” appears (i.e., in the name field, in the address field, in the notes, or emergency contact, to name a few) all results come up. AND, those results come up in NO particular order. The indexing, querying, and/or outputting are off. I’ve reported it multiple times, and the ticket is looming, BUT I was told that I can’t revert to the prior version while I await the next update. Please fix this!!!!

What’s most unbelievable is that they charge money to host this hopelessly crippled app.  Complaining to their “customer service” gets the brush off. The calendar function is 100% useless because (a) you can only see the next 60 days, so planning is impossible, and (b) you can’t go backwards to see past events. I simply can’t believe how appallingly bad this app and this platform are. In 2024 we should rightfully expect an app that has at least entered the 21st century. This one is still stuck in 1993.

It’s a good app. However, whenever I try to save a number of total members attended, it won’t save. It keeps track of each individual members attendance, however, it won’t let me save a number

As a pastor I enjoy using this app to access our membership records. But the calendar is almost unusable. Please add a monthly view to the calendar on mobile. We use the Shelby calendar as our primary calendar and the list view makes it very difficult to find events that are more than a week away. Please fix!

Just about the smallest fonts I have ever seen in an app.  You need a magnifying glass to see the letters when composing a mass text. I doubt if even a 20-year-old would be happy with this font size.

Come on, Shelby. How about supporting Apple’s Dynamic Type font sizes.  If I’ve chosen a certain font size in Settings then that’s the size I need to comfortably view the text in ALL apps.

This app is not designed for the average church member to be able to sign in for the first time.  I am not a neophyte with PC’s.  I was able to sign in on my android phone, but not without some difficulty.  I am now trying to get my wife signed in using her I-pad Pro.  Can’t get her signed in.  I can’t imagine the frustration for the average church member.  Work on this APP is needed without a doubt.

Fixed an issue introduced in v2.17.8 where the Groups tab was missing for iOS users in the ChMS (Church by M1 / My Church Home) app. Affected users who were members of groups with visibility enabled could not see the Groups option in the navigation. The root cause was legacy code that restricted the Groups menu to users with "view individual" permission only. The fix ensures the Groups tab is visible to all applicable users regardless of permission type. This issue affected 59 customers and was not present on Android.
