## What is Shelfside?

You read with the phone face up on the table. So the timer should live
on the Lock Screen, not behind three taps inside an app.

Start a reading session from Control Center or the Action Button and it
runs as a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
You never open Shelfside to read.

SCAN A SHELF IN MINUTES
Point the camera at a barcode and the book appears — cover, title,
author, page count. The scanner does not stop between books, so forty
books take about three minutes instead of half an hour. No ISBN on the
spine? Add it by hand.

SESSIONS, THEN NUMBERS
Start, pause, resume, finish. Pages from and to. Shelfside builds your
weekly strip, your pages per minute and your session history out of
that, with nothing for you to fill in afterwards.

YOUR LIBRARY IS FREE AND UNLIMITED
Every book, no cap, forever. Grid of covers, search, a lent-out marker
for the ones that walked off. Cataloging your shelf is not something
anyone should charge you for, so we do not.

WHAT COSTS MONEY
The Lock Screen timer and the Control Center control are free — the way
you read shouldn't be behind a paywall. Pro is the record side: full
statistics, the weekly strip, and CSV and JSON export.
$2.99 a month, $17.99 a year, or $24.99 once, forever — prices vary
by country. Buy it once and it is yours; nothing expires and nothing
renews.

WHAT LEAVES YOUR PHONE
One thing: the ISBN, when you scan a book and it looks up the cover.
Not what you read. Not when. Not for how long. There is no account,
no feed, no followers, no reviews and no recommendation engine.

Apple Watch is not in this version. It is planned, and this listing
will not pretend otherwise.
