## What is Shelfy?

Ever opened your fridge to find something that expired three weeks ago? Yeah. We've all been there.
Shelfy is the simple, friendly app that remembers your food so you don't have to. Scan your shopping when you get home, and we'll remind you before anything goes off - with recipe ideas to use it up first.
How it works:
Scan the barcode on any food item and Shelfy identifies it instantly. Photograph the expiry date and we read it automatically - no typing, no faff. Your food is saved to your digital fridge, colour-coded by how urgent it is. Red means use it today. Amber means you've got a few days. Green means you're fine.
When something's about to expire, you get a friendly nudge - with a quick recipe suggestion so you can actually do something about it before it ends up in the bin.
