Amazing job to compile all of them for quick helpful reference. It is a great reference tool I use it to double check decisions made. I wouldn't mind seeing a version pertaining more to my rate. The Aviation community has a lot of instructions and publications I would like in the palm of my hand. Please consider. Love, AWS2 ### 3/5 — Surprisingly helpful *2015-12-27, version 1.2.5* As a 23+ year CPO, I balked and even scoffed at the mere thought of something as "silly" as this. I went ahead and begrudgingly downloaded the app, and much to my surprise, it contained quite a bit of very useful information at my fingertips. An possible improvement would be to provide hyperlinks to all of the most current instructions with the option to download for "offline use". Providing a hyperlink to, say, all OPNAVINST's in a convenient list would ensure that the most current instructions are always available. Make that happen, and I will give it FOUR stars. I must be honest and say I will NEVER give it FIVE stars because I'm a Chief!! ### 3/5 — Unresponsive *2015-10-14, version 1.2.5* I would rate this a 5 stars, however since the latest update for iOS system it will not open. Why does the navy not put the time in to the products to ensure members have the most recent instructions? However, if you get a question wrong there is zero explanation/indication of what the correct answer is…and therefore zero opportunity to learn. It just turns red and does nothing else. You can now go F yourself is the business model the developers switched over to. This used to be, hands down, the best app to take quizzes on because it showed you immediately the correct answer if you got it wrong. F** it. Let ships collide. ### 1/5 — QUATERMASTER SCPO *2022-05-26, version 2.0* Adding more check list instructions is helpful, but removing all RATING MANUALS, and Bridge watch team training tools is not helpful. ### 1/5 — Had potential *2018-11-13, version 1.7.11* This app at its inception had great potential. At this current moment it still has just potential to be a great tool utilized by naval personnel but the failure of the development team to continue updating this app has likely led many Sailors astray. Major updates to policy and instructions have occurred and this team which I presume is paid well with a nice contract or the contract is over has failed to update it. In conclusion if you need any references just use the NPC website. ### 1/5 — Horrible UI, especially considering that it's just a wrapper. *2015-05-03, version 1.0* Been fighting downloading this app ever since I heard about it a while back, but I finally caved. I had to see what all that money bought the Navy, and I gotta say: NKO, in all its incarnations, was never this bad. The information is up to date, as far as I know, but why not go the distance and convert the awards precedence page to a local PDF or even another UIScrollView with the awards in the proper area? And of course, no support for iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus. That's pretty weak for something released well after the release of those respective devices. So many areas for improvement not listed here… get to it. ### 1/5 — Won't completely download *2015-04-08, version 1.0* I have tried to download this app over wifi and 4g and nothing it stops and won't download then completely starts over. Please fix this! ### 2/5 — Rules of the Road and Feedback need improvement *2022-09-15, version 2.0* The Rules of the Road quiz portion is a valuable tool to work on skills, but should be updated to show what the correct answer should have been when you get one wrong. Whether a Divo, Chief, LPO, WCS, or even the fresh-out-of-bootcamp sailor, this app contains references and instructions that are essential for all. If you hate looking up naval instructions on policy, this is the app for you! When new instructions come out, this app updates and you have it available to you. As a Chief, this app has been a great reference tool when questions arise in my divisions. ### 5/5 — Good idea *2017-03-13, version 1.5.1* Recommend adding an underway mode. So many tools for our Sailors tool box's that it should be a requirement coming out of boot camp for today's technology driven Sailors. This information is useful from the youngest Seamen to the most senior Admiral. Utilization of this app is a standard among my Mess, FCPOA, and our JPOA. We put this out during our CPO 365 Phase 1 and during our INDOC class. The only issue I have with this App is the name. They could have thought of something else to get the attention of ALL Sailors especially the ones who actually will utilize the Eval instruction, advancement eligibility requirements, and award instruction among the other useful portions of it. But other than the name no complaints and thank you to whoever thought of this Bravo Zulu Shipmate! ### 5/5 — Chief Review *2016-07-29, version 1.5.1* Great App!
