It's always just enough of a challenge, with a hint available -- just a hint! -- if you just don't see that one key move. It proves you don't need fantastic graphics for a good and challenging game. The only gripe I have is the pricing policy- ok, it's worth paying 70p to upgrade to the PRO but £2.30 and £4.50 for the others when they, according to their respective websites, have the same no of puzzles?? For £4.50 I would expect something exceptional, not for a simple game like this. ### 5/5 — Classic logic puzzle *2015-02-07, version 1.3.4* LOL! If you can't find the instructions then this classic logic game probably isn't for you (in plain English, they're only a couple taps away). I played this and a few of the developer's other games years ago on the PC. I was immensely pleased to find he had created an iPad version. Great brain exercise. Classic game done simply and done well. Highly recommend this for logic thinkers and couch detectives :D. Actually, I highly recommend any of the developers games for those people inclined towards these kinds of puzzles! I’ve closed the app and restarted it several times now but the app is just a brick. Do Not play most games so cannot rely on similarity to other games to guide me as to how your game should be played. ### 1/5 — Viel schlechter geworden *2013-08-29* Ich habe die alte Version von Sherlock schon sehr lange und mit inApp Kauf Werbung weg und neue Rätsel dazu. Ich spiele Sherlock damit sehr oft und bin sehr zufrieden. Jetzt habe ich mal diese Version ausprobiert, und bin sehr enttäuscht. Sie ist wesentlich langsamer geworden (iPod 4.Gen) und somit ist jeglicher Spielspaß verloren gegangen. Ein 4x4 Spiel in unter einer Minute ist nicht mehr möglich. Auch vermisse ich sehr die alte Bestenliste, wo man u.a. seinen Namen eintragen konnte. Wenn man dort das Datum einträgt, weiß man immer, wann man wie gut war. Und selbst die Ultra-Version hat wesentlich weniger Rätsel als die alte Version. It's simple, though not easy. It took a while to get used to the mobile gameplay, though otherwise it's the same game. Because there's no reading involved in the game, my kids learned to play before they could read. ### 4/5 — Great concept! Totally different. *2020-03-13, version 1.4.3* Well thought out yet simple. I am so tired of the same old games being repackaged over and over again. This is logical and the only thing stopping you from getting a fantastic score is the way you use your brain power. Absolutely love the game, best gaming value I have found. So why only 4 stars? A request to the developer, the score handling is not good. There is no instant reward/feedback (apart from the annoying splashscreen). You’ve done the hard part and created a game worthy of accolades, but the interface needs work. When I finish one puzzle, I want to take a few seconds to review my score not immediately be presented with the next puzzle. I want to see how I did compared to other players on this puzzle and compared to all puzzles. Yes, you can get there, but I always waste a few precious seconds having to hit “more” and then “scores” before the clock on the new puzzle starts ticking. Personally, if you take a little time(get some professional help if needed) and make the interface much slicker and the graphics more “glitzy”, this game could easily become the thinking person’s “Candy Crush” Good Luck! ### 5/5 — Go to game *2025-04-05, version 1.4.3* This is my go-to game when I’m bored or have a few extra minutes waiting for something or someone. I’ve been a lover of Sherlock since the mid-90s. I have it on my iPhone and my iPad. I never tire of playing it. At 76, I think it keeps my brain sharp! I have been trying to find a game that combine logic and deduction for a long time. And this is the best one that I have found (on iOS). This is a true game with both of them that makes you actually and solve what place where. They are other version of this app with different/more puzzles and levels, with a price, but in truth I believe there are all a fair price and it’s worth the money. ### 5/5 — Ultimate Logic Game *2021-08-19, version 1.4.3* This one got it all right. What began as shareware in the 90s is still a home run; if you liked the systematic logic grid games from the old Dell books, this is the logic game for you.
