### 5/5 — Great logic puzzle!

*2017-06-12, version 1.4.3*

Kept me entertained for... let's call it a few hours. Puzzle continues to throw you a curve ball every couple of puzzles so it never gets easy. Avg time is 3:20 for 6x6 puzzle which is probably ok for somebody my age. Fun to try and get that average down lower.

### 5/5 — Sherlock

*2017-05-12, version 1.4.3*

Love this logic game, played it years ago on our very first computer. So glad I can play it again 👍😀

### 5/5 — Looooong time fan!

*2016-12-23, version 1.4.3*

Soooooo goooood!

### 5/5 — I love this game

*2016-12-22, version 1.4.3*

I have played 3 or more games of Sherlock everyday for years. Great way to keep the mind sharp! Thank you again Everett!!

### 5/5 — Classic game that makes you like Spock

*2016-02-18, version 1.4.3*

Who needs a subscription to those brain game websites? This classic game is sudoku on steroids. Brings back memories of when I played this on Dos when I was a teenager. Thank you Everett Kaser for getting this preserved for a whole new generation.

### 5/5 — Addictive but crashes often

*2015-11-12, version 1.4.3*

I play this game everyday...for hours. It's a lot of fun but it crashes on me a lot. Once I play 70 or 80 games, I can no longer open the app and I have to delete it and download it again. I've done this 5 times, or about once every 2 or 3 weeks. Otherwise, this game is awesome! I used to play in the days of 800 megabyte hard drives. It's nice because I don't need to be online to play..

### 5/5 — Nostalgic touch

*2015-07-27*

I've played Sherlock quite long ago. What was that - DOS or some prehistoric Windows version? Don't remember. But it's still alive, and still tons of fun.

I'd appreciate somewhat improved graphics (maybe as an option) - honestly, the game look a bit archaic. However, the game itself
is brilliant, so it's not that important.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2015-07-11, version 1.4.3*

I've worked my way through the free and pro versions and now I'm happily trucking through the ultra version! Frankly been playing this since the DOS days. Still love the simple, yet challenging game play. Keeps my mind sharp and those brain cells working! Sherlock is one of only a handful of apps I have absolutely no qualms about purchasing! With 7500 puzzles it's worth every single penny!

### 5/5 — Sherlock

*2015-07-05, version 1.4.3*

Classic logic game! So happy to be able to play it again after all these years.

### 5/5 — Fantastic Game

*2015-04-10, version 1.4.3*

This really is a great game and I've been playing it for years. As soon as I saw that it was available on iOS I knew I had to have it again!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2015-02-22, version 1.3.4*

I am an attorney and have been playing this game for five years. It always seems to get my brain firing on all cylinders when I need it to.

### 5/5 — Super Logic Game

*2014-10-25, version 1.3.4*

I have played this since my old PC days and still enjoy it now on my phone and iPad.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2023-05-25, version 1.5.0*

To say this is a logic game is an insult to one’s intelligence. It is just a futile guessing game with no sense of mathematical logic whatsoever. I just feel done to have wasted £3.99 on this load of crap.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2015-09-16, version 1.4.3*

I purchased the app, but it will not download. Do not buy this app.

### 1/5 — Where are the other games?

*2015-08-28, version 1.4.3*

After playing six games in the 6x6, I find I have to BUY more games! Not cool.....

### 2/5 — Great game, but buggy

*2023-06-10, version 1.5.0*

I’ve had this app for years, and love it. One problem: after playing maybe 100 or so puzzles it crashes and never lets you advance beyond the crashed puzzle number. The only fix is to delete and reinstall.

### 2/5 — Excellent but...

*2019-12-16, version 1.5.0*

I love this game but I don’t like shelling out money for games that crash and do not supply the actual amount of possible games. I’ve only played this a few times but there is no way I’ve gone through 1000 games.

### 2/5 — Crash city

*2018-04-13, version 1.5.0*

I loved this game, but unfortunately it won’t load anymore. It will close immediately if you choose either 4 x4 or 5x5. Though I always play 6x6, it will now crash when you want to move to another puzzle.

### 3/5 — Fun but buggy

*2018-03-08, version 1.5.0*

The interface is pretty good and I’ve loved this game for years. My only real complaint is that the game wants to crash once it gets to puzzle 676. This has happened twice after uninstalling and reinstalling.

### 3/5 — Freezes with iOS 8.

*2014-10-02, version 1.3.4*

This great app needs updating to be compatible with iOS 8. ALWAYS freezes when trying to play the next puzzle, and OFTEN freezes if you select a wrong choice.

### 3/5 — Sherlock

*2013-06-22, version 1.3.4*

This is a game I had on my PC in the 80's and it's very much welcome on my IPad today.

When little I had several books of Holmes Puzzles that gave you a list of characters, the homes they lived in, the pets they had, etc and a couple of clues such as Mrs Brown lived next to the man who owned a cat, Mr Jones did not live in the blue house.

By process of elimination you could eventually work out who lived in what house, who owned which pet, etc.

This is the computerised version of that game. It graphically is pretty much the same as the 80's version with a few modifications in the options that make little difference to gameplay or graphics.

New players might take a little while to cotton on that in the clues if two tiles are together they that simply means they are together and not necessarily in the order shown in the clue.

I find it annoying having the default option on that alerts you if you are trying to remove a tile from the wrong place but for new players I'd suggest leaving that option on and also use the help option frequently until you get how the game works.

The ability to hide clues you've already sorted out is handy though.

Once sussed it's always satisfying to complete each puzzle.

This game is pure logic and well worth buying.

More varied tile sets and variety of clues would be great if an improvement was needed.

Good game for picking up, having a play and putting down again.

### 4/5 — One flaw

*2015-01-21, version 1.3.4*

I love Sherlock! This is an excellent logic puzzle. But I am sometimes frustrated by a flaw in the software. This doesn't happen very often, but sometimes the game doesn't display all of the clues. When this situation is encountered and you restart that puzzle, then most of the time it displays the missing clue.

If the developers need them, I have screen shots of one such puzzle with and without all of the clues.

### 5/5 — Faces

*2024-07-25, version 1.5.0*

Are the faces that of Sherlock, Watson, etc? Please give us a list.

### 5/5 — One of the all time greats!

*2023-05-18, version 1.5.0*

Nobody has been able to top this game and I’ve tried thousands over the years!!

### 5/5 — Brilliant puzzle game

*2021-04-22, version 1.5.0*

This is my number 1 go to puzzle game. I used to play it on pc 25 years ago so I was over the moon when I found it on iPad. I play at least 2 puzzles a day every day and have for years now. Brilliant game that you’ll keep getting better at.

### 5/5 — My favorite game of all time

*2020-08-31, version 1.5.0*

It’s impossible to say how long I’ve been playing this game. I first played the game from a floppy disk on my computer in DOS! When the windows version came out, my dad made me a program so I could get back to DOS to run my original version. When I found the iOS version a few years ago I was so thrilled to see the original DOS art and design! This game is addictive in the best possible way. It is an awesome challenge for keeping the eyes and mind sharp. I’ve never found another puzzle I enjoy as much. I do crossword, cryptogram, sudoku and more and NONE can beat Sherlock. Thanks from the bottom of my heart to the developer of this game for giving me countless hours of fun over the (literal) decades!!

### 5/5 — Best Logic Puzzle EVER Played

*2018-08-19, version 1.5.0*

Have been playing this since ~1996, I never get tired of it!

Can set options for youngsters to use.

Make it as hard as you like.

Also excellent puzzles by Evertt Kaser Honeycomb Hotel, William Walk.

### 5/5 — Such an awesome game!

*2018-08-12, version 1.5.0*

I love being able to play this on my phone, since I grew up playing on our old computer. It’s one of the few games/puzzles that actually holds my interest, because it’s actually somewhat of a challenge while still being fun

### 5/5 — Lovely

*2018-06-01, version 1.5.0*

Takes some thinking to solve the puzzles. I’ve ended up spending more time on this than just about any other mobile game. So very much worth the money - and I haven’t even started doing 6x6 puzzles yet!

Please bring more of your wonderful puzzle games with old pc shareware gfx to Android/iOS, they are all truly a delight

### 5/5 — The best Einstein’s Puzzle app

*2018-01-02, version 1.5.0*

This is far and away the best app for the Einstein’s Logic Puzzle. There are different sizes available and more than enough games to keep you busy for a long time.

### 5/5 — Playing for many years

*2017-12-07, version 1.5.0*

Probably my favorite logic game. Never gets old. I started playing this game when it was a DOS game — that’s before Microsoft Windows for you young people. Works ok on iPhone for 4x4 and 5x5 games. The 6x6 games are a bit challenging for my eyes and fingers. I used my iPad for the bigger grid.

### 5/5 — Go-to brain-teaser

*2017-07-16, version 1.5.0*

Love these games and the logic behind them. They never get too hard, and there's always a hint available -- just a hint! -- if you just don't see that one key move. Everett's games always work perfectly on my iPads, and I enjoy the challenge of keeping my times down. I have to admit these games are a huge challenge for big fingers on an iPhone, but that's not where I play it, so it's a great brain-teaser for those moments whenI need to clear my head.
